I DO, however, believe that the technology has caught up with us and moved beyond the days of "Friday the 13th in 3D" with shock entertainment and classic red-and-blue glasses. I believe with James Cameron's Avatar this year, the technology will once again be brought into a new era. Something like that or UP was not done as a gimmick, but helped people from all over the world to appreciate where the technology is now. The gimmicks are a given, seeing as how every industry, let alone movie studios, is hurting financially right now. Still, I think 3D is a fad this time as well and will eventually go away. My point is that I wish Hollywood would concentrate on telling good stories and forget about stupid gimmicks.
