It’s been done plenty of times before. A big example is the main theme from the film ‘Stargate’. It was reused as the “main theme” for ‘Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow”. It all comes down to budget, what music the studio owns, and if they can get away with it without people realizing. I guess 2 out of 3 ain’t bad.
