As we’ve probably said in the past we get sent a lot of videos here at The Flickcast. Many of them are, shall we say, not worthy of sharing with you. Some, however, demand attention and need to be shared. Blackstar Warrior is one of those.

The video, which comes to us from YouTube user bobbymarsh2010 via a friend, may contain characters and situations that are slightly familiar to you. In fact, this “fake” trailer has a who’s who of characters from one of the most popular movie franchises of all time: the Star Wars trilogy. You’ve hear of that, right?

It features action, romance, decent visual effects, comedy and, yes, even Darth Vader makes an appearance. Plus, Lando Calrissian is pretty much a badass. In short, this is some pretty great stuff.

At Comic Con, we got to take a peek at the PlayStation Move in action. One of the showcase games we got to try was Sports Champions. Just the fact that they didn’t call it Move Sports right off the back gave us a little hope that the game wouldn’t just feel like Wii Sports 2.0. Going with the Wii started trend of having a sports game compilation paired with motion controls, Sports Champions is a collection of various non-traditional games such as Archery, Gladiator Duel, Table Tennis, Bocce, Beach Volleyball and others. Using only motion controls, players progress through challenges, unlocking harder play modes as they progress.

The first game we got to try out was Archery. Archery itself was a very cut and dry experience. Reach back with one hand, grab the arrow by pressing a button, line up the “arrow” hand with your bow hand, pull back, release button to shoot arrow. It is hard not to compare it to Wii Sports Resort as Archery is one of the games present in it as well. While we only had a short time to play with it, the aim and motion felt more precise than the WiiMotion Plus controls do. There is also something to be said for the tangible feedback that is missing from Microsoft’s Kinect. Actually holding a “bow” in your hand as opposed to dangling your hand in mid-air do feel like completely different experiences.

The Gladiator Duel was one of the shining spots of Sports Champions. Since seeing the stage demo of the Move on E3 2009′s Sony Press Conference, people have been yearning for a quality sword fighting experience on a motion control game. While Kinect looks to bring an on-rails lightsaber game and the sword fight in Wii Sports Resort has proven simple enough that my five year old cousin has mastered it by flailing his arms back and forth in a near seisure like motion, Sports Champions’ Gladiator Duel brings players an almost Soul Caliber-like fighting experience.

Coming on the heels of success from his last (and only) two film adaptations, comic writer Mark Millar is eager to bring his latest book, Nemesis, to the big screen. It seems like that plan is already in motion, as Twentieth Century and Tony Scott have acquired the rights and are looking to get Millar’s property into theaters in the near future.

The book tells a classic story with a twist: young Matt Anderson’s parents are killed and he vows to avenge their deaths by training himself and going after the man who did it. The twist? His parents were worldwide villains, and he is too. Anderson makes his way back to the states after killing the greatest cops across the world to focus on Chief Blake Morrow, the man who took down Anderson’s criminal parents.

Tony Scott has expressed interest in this being his next project, at least through his company Scott Free Productions. While the idea of Tony Scott directing a comic book adaptation gives the fanboy community the collective goosebumps, Scott may only remain attached as a producer.

Many know Millar as the mind behind other comic adaptations Wanted starring James McAvoy (now X-Men: First Class’s Professor Xavier) and Lionsgate’s recent Kick-Ass, which is already planning a sequel. Comics fans know Millars work from Superman: Red Son and plenty of issues of Marvel’s Civil War.

At Comic-Con, we got the chance to catch up with the Bella Twins, WWE’s first and only pair ever of twin Divas. We had the pleasure of talking to Brie back in April about her and Nikki’s experience with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and their first WrestleMania.

This time, we got not one but both of the lovely ladies to sit down and talk to us at the Con. Having lived in San Diego for some time, this was the twins’ first time attending Comic-Con so we made sure to get their thoughts on all the things they had seen. We also talked about what the twins see for themselves moving forward as the special celebrity guests have ceased on Monday Night Raw as they had been officially the assistants each week for these guests.

Brie (on the left) and Nikki (on the right) give us some insight on their dream matches moving forward as well as intentions on the Diva’s Championship. The girls discuss with us wrestling inspirations and even let us know where they’d like to see themselves at the upcoming WrestleMania.

Among Marvel characters Deadpool ranks pretty high in popularity. Sure, he’s probably not as famous as Wolverine or Spider-Man, but he’s found a place on the list of many a comics fan’s favorites.

Plus, he’s already had the big screen treatment as a character in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and may soon have his own movie franchise and be represented again by star Ryan Reynolds. Until the, we will just have to content ourselves with the comic version.

A great example of that looks to be the upcoming comic Deadpool: Pulp #1. Written by Mike Benson and Adam Glass with art by Laurence Campbell, this comic features Deadpool as the CIA’s deadliest, and craziest, agent.

But for better or worse, crazy is what it will take as Deadpool hunts down a rogue CIA agent to recover a stolen nuclear suitcase she’s carrying before she hands it over to America’s enemies. Who is she and is Deadpool crazy enough to stop her? We’ll just have to wait for the comic to find out.

Since Tarantino and Rodriguez reintroduced the allure of the Grind House genre to an unsuspecting worldwide audience, original films and scripts from that time have been fair game for studios to snatch up and update for the modern audience. Rogue continued that trend last year by rebooting Wes Craven’s classic Last House On The Left. It opened with moderate success, and now it’s Anchor Bay’s turn, with a reboot of 1978′s I Spit On Your Grave (also known as Day of the Woman).

For those not in the know,  this is basically the ultimate revenge flick, updated for the modern, jaded youth with ultra sex and hyper violence. Need more? Here’s the film’s full synopsis.

Writer Jennifer Hills (Sarah Butler) takes a retreat from the city to a charming cabin in the woods to start on her next book. But Jennifer’s presence in the small town attracts the attention of a few morally deprived locals who set out one night to teach this city girl a lesson. They break into her cabin to scare her. However, what starts out as terrifying acts of humiliation and intimidation, quickly and uncontrollably escalates into a night of physical abuse and torturous assault. But before they can kill her, Jennifer sacrifices her broken and beaten body to a raging river that washes her away. Against all odds, Jennifer Hills survived her ordeal. Now, with hell bent vengeance, Jennifer’s sole purpose is to turn the tables on these animals and to inflict upon them every horrifying and torturous moment they carried out on her… only much, much worse.

Just hitting the web is the trailer to this frightening remake, and we can honestly admit that this remake plans on doing the original film justice.

San Diego Comic Con was a huge show for Marvel vs. Capcom 3: The Fate of Two Worlds. At the start of the show, four new characters were added to the game’s roster with Doctor Doom, Super Skrull, Trish and Chun-Li. Then two days later, Thor, Marvel’s god of thunder and star of his upcoming self-titled feature film, and Amaterasu, the wolf god from Capcom’s Okami were added to the game as well. Make sure to check some killer new gameplay videos and screens below from Comic Con.

While on the show floor at the Con, I got the chance to get hands on with Marvel vs. Capcom 3. An old school fan of not just Marvel and the Capcom fighting properties, the Marvel vs. Capcom series has been one of my favorite’s since its debut in the arcade over ten years ago. There was some initial apprehension about actually playing the game. It had a lot to live up to. Even seeing video and screens, things could totally change if the gameplay didn’t live up to expectations.

Luckily, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 delivered. While it was still an early build of the game and more balancing will surely be taking place as more characters are added to the game, it felt like things never changed. Not only does the game look beautiful with some awesome visual effects but it plays great too. The feel of completely organized chaos of everything going on during a fight that a player can still know exactly what his or her team is doing at the time has been recaptured.

Happy Friday. Hope you’re enjoying the day. If you’re plans call for some TV watching tonight we’ve got clips for brand new episodes of both Eureka and Haven to share with you today.

First up on a Eureka episode called “Crossing Over”, Warehouse 13‘s Claudia pays a surprise visit to Eureka looking for something or someone. What she’s doing is anyone’s guess, but you can bet things won’t be as they seem.

Next up on Haven in an episode called “Ball and Chain”, strange things are happening as time speeds ahead and the men of Haven begin to rapidly age. Just like that episode of the original Star Trek where Kirk and Spock go to that planet and McCoy is older so he ages faster and . . . Sorry. Never mind.

As far back as I can remember, I’ve been a fan of Denzel Washington. No matter what film he’s been in or if they’ve made money or not, he’s always fun to watch and a great actor as well. I’m sure most people would agree.

Conversely, people may criticize me for this but I’m also a fan of director Tony Scott. Sure, he’s not as artsy or sophisticated as his brother Ridley (His name is Ridley, after all) but he does know how to use a camera and call tell some pretty interesting stories when he puts his mind to it. So naturally, when these two get together on a film, as they have before for Crimson Tide and Man on Fire and now for the upcoming Unstoppable, I’m going to give that film my attention.

In the movie, Washington and Star Trek‘s Chris Pine are struggling to stop an out of control train before it derails on a curve and causes a toxic spill that will decimate a town. The trailer, while superbly put together, does seem to give quite a bit of the movie away. However, it does look pretty good — at least to me.

The fourth offering from the comedy team of Will Farrell (star) and Adam McKay (director, writer), The Other Guys doesn’t reach the zany heights of their earlier hits Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, but still gives Farrell plenty of opportunities for the inspired silliness and extended surreal bits that are his strengths.

Will Farrell plays Allen Gamble, a police forensic accountant with a hidden dark past, now partnered with Terry Hoitz (Mark Wahlberg), a disgraced detective who has been relegated to a desk job after making a catastrophic error.

The movie opens with the hot shots of the department, played with patented swagger and bombast by Samuel L. Jackson and Dwayne Johnson, but when they unexpectedly leave the force, so to speak, Hoitz jumps at the chance to get back on real cases. The only hitch is that he has to convince the reluctant, conscientious and safety-loving Gamble to join him.

Meanwhile, Gamble’s painstaking forensic accounting and obsession with unpaid scaffolding permits has actually turned up a real case, a financier (Steve Coogan) about to pull off a $32 Billion heist. It’s classic bumbling cops versus cool, efficient and ruthless mastermind criminals with MBAs and meat-head body guards, but the sometimes creaky plot does its job—that is, set up lots of hilarity involving Priuses, hot Broadway shows, the pitfalls of hyperbole and more.

You’ve seen all four dimensions. You’ve seen Spidey square off against the Juggernaut, Hammerhead, the Goblin, Kraven and Scorpion. Now, Activision has released a new trailer for Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions featuring the Noir version of the Vulture.

Of any version of the Vulture, this is without a doubt the most interesting (yes, even more so than the “new” Vulture that spits up corrosive bile in the pages of Amazing Spider-Man). In Noir, the Vulture is a cannibalistic sideshow freak that has been recruited by the Goblin as one of his enforcers. Compared to the old man in the green suit, this Vulture more closely resembles one of the vampires from 30 Days of Night. The eerie image transfers great from the page to the screen as you will see in the trailer below.
