For most young boys growing up in the 90s, there were two very prominent things in the pop culture world. One of them was the overabundance of sexualized female superheroes in comics thanks to some beautiful art by the likes of Rob Liefeld, Jimmy Palmiotti, and others. The other thing was more and more big-breasted women popping up in the WWF, which gave the young boys losing interest in the dragging story lines something more interesting to focus on.

Little did we know that only a few decades later, we’d be seeing the two pubescent fantasies combine into one massive phenomenon, as Vivid has announced Joanie “Chyna” Laurer has been cast as the lead in Axel Braun’s upcoming superhero porn parody, She-Hulk XXX. Here’s the blurb from the press release.

Chyna plays She-Hulk aka Jennifer Walters, cousin of Bruce Banner, best known to most of the world at The Hulk.  When her emotional state is sufficiently high, she is the strongest woman in the world. She has been a member of the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, Heroes for hire, the Defenders, Fantastic Force and S.H.I.E.L.D.  She-Hulk is also a highly skilled lawyer who has served as legal counsel to several of the superheroes when needed.

As much as we love Star Wars here at The Flickcast it isn’t such a sacred series of films that it can’t be parodied. In fact, it’s got a long history of people making a bit of fun out of it, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Just like there’s nothing wrong with a good porn parody. In fact, that’s just what filmmkaer Axel Braun has done with his latest film. He’s combined these two things and made a porn parody of Star Wars. To help illustrate just how these two things can go together, we’ve got a teaser for his latest opus for you today.

Although it doesn’t show any sex, it does still manages to be pretty amusing. In fact, some of the visual effects and sets are not even that bad. It’s obvious Braun is a fan and took the time to do things right (or as right as needed), even if he’s actually making an adult film.

For years, members of both genders have cowered in the shadows with their secret interest in what goes on behind the closed doors of Clark Kent’s apartment, or on the wedding night of Spider-Man and Mary Jane. Kevin Smith even built a career on the former. Now, fans everywhere will get to witness as the two worlds of Porn and Comic Books cross over.

With the rise in comic book popularity, there also comes the realization from the adult industry (finally) that there is a market for this type of movie. Using the protection of the “parody law”, stating that anything deemed a parody can not be considered an infringement on copyright, industry leader Vivid Entertainment recently announced their newest Superhero imprint.

“The parodies under this new imprint will pay tribute to the world’s most popular comic heroes,” said Steven Hirsch, Founder/Co-chairman of Vivid. “Axel already started pre-production on a parody of Superman, which will be followed by those of The Green Hornet, Spider-Man, Wonder Woman, Captain America, Thor, and The Incredible Hulk.

We made the decision to create the imprint after working with Axel on “Batman XXX: A Porn Parody”, an Axel Braun Productions movie to be distributed by Vivid. Axel truly did an amazing job with it, and we agreed that together we could mine the really rich treasure of superheroes and have a lot of fun doing it.”
