Check Out An Unaired Promo For Tonight’s ‘V’

by Matt Raub, Apr 6 2010 // 7:00 AM

As most of us know, ABC’s V made its triumphant return after LOST last week to a pretty warm welcome. The show averaged about 7.2 Million viewers last week, which is one of the best ratings that the slot has gotten in quite some time.

With that in mind, ABC is upping their marketing ten-fold. We brought you an interview with one of the stars of the show, Laura Vandervoort, yesterday, and she gave us the scoop on some of the great things we can look forward to seeing this season.

Today, we’ve got another cool treat for you, as ABC sent us an exclusive, un-aired promo for tonight’s episode, entitled “Pound of Flesh.” You can see in the promo that they’re taking an interesting turn with Morena Baccarin’s character in sexualizing her quite a bit.

Check out the clip after the jump, and be sure to catch an all new V on ABC tonight at 10pm ET, right after LOST: The Final Season.

Exclusive: Laura Vandervoort Talks ‘V’, ‘Smallville’

by Matt Raub, Apr 5 2010 // 11:00 AM

ABC has quite a lot going on this season, between the final season of LOST, and the very first season of V, it’s a pretty big time for hour-long science fiction. We recently got the chance to sit down with one of the stars from V, Laura Vandervoort, to talk about her character Lisa. Prior to V, Laura was best known for also playing Kara, a.k.a. Supergirl, on a season of Smallville, which we also discussed.

The Flickcast: What can we expect to see for the rest of this season on V?

Laura Vandervoort: Oh boy! Quite a bit of action and drama because a lot of the main characters that haven’t interacted before are going to, and that’s going to add a lot of plot points and conflict.

There will be explosions, the Fifth Column is going to be creating some havoc, the romance between my character and Tyler (Logan Huffman) thickens, there’s a pregnancy, a death, so much! I think the audience is going to be shocked every time they watch.

TFC: Were you a fan of the original series when you came onto this project? How much did you know about it?

LV: I’m actually embarrassed to say that I didn’t know about V when I was first introduced to the project. I was quickly told, and I looked it up, and found it’s huge cult following from the 80s. So I went out and bought the miniseries, watched it since, and I really enjoyed it.

Michael Trucco Goes From Cylon to Resistance Leader In ‘V’

by Chris Ullrich, Feb 16 2010 // 11:00 AM

Battlestar Galactica veteran Michael Trucco is going from playing Starbuck’s husband and one of the “Final Five” Cylons on that show to playing a lizard alien on ABC’s V. He will be taking on the role of “mysterious resistance leader” John May for at least one episode when the show returns next month.

As you may know if you watch the show, May is the founder and leader of the Fifth Column, a group of Vs who are fighting against their race’s plans for the domination of Earth and humanity. Ryan (Morris Chestnut), a sleeper V who has been on Earth since before the Visitors arrived, once was involved in the resistance and worked with May.

Now he and humans Erica (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Father Jack (Joel Gretsch) are attempting to resurrect the Fifth Column, with the help of May, and hopefully bring an end to the V’s plans for world domination. Sounds like a plan. Let’s hope they succeed.

V will return to ABC on March 30 with eight new episodes. Hopefully, it won’t go away again for three months after that, which is a pretty odd strategy if you’re trying to build an audience for a show.

So far, Trucco is set to appear as John May in an episode airing on April 13, but I’m sure if he does well and audiences respond, you can expect to see a lot more of him.

Cortney’s TV Digest: What To Watch In November

by Cortney Zamm, Nov 5 2009 // 3:15 PM

It’s getting colder and darker every day (at least in my part of the world), so it’s certainly time to curl up on the couch with some apple cider and some great TV, or at least that’s what I’ll be doing! While November brings us very few new TV shows, this month’s edition of Cortney’s TV Digest will let you know everything that’s going on with your favorite shows, no matter if they just premiered or have been with us for awhile.

V-2009_TV_series_logoV

A reimagining of the 80′s classic TV mini-series, V tells the tale of aliens who have landed on Earth in peace, but secretly have sinister motives. Starring Morena Baccarin, Morris Chestnut, Joel Gretsch, Elizabeth Mitchell, and Scott Wolf, V premiered November 3rd to big ratings and will run for four weeks.

It will then go on hiatus, returning in March 2010 to finish the season.

EXCLUSIVE: Scott Wolf Talks ‘V’

by Matt Raub, Nov 3 2009 // 10:15 AM

scott_wolfScott Wolf is an actor that’s bounced around on televised Drama for over a decade now. He’s been on some major shows like Party of Five, Everwood, and The Nine. He’s now taking his acting chops over to the new ABC series V, which starts up tonight.

Recently, we got the chance to chat with Wolf about the show, his character, journalist Chad Decker, the spoilers that people may know from seeing the original 80′s miniseries, and how a show like V will stack up against LOST (which happens to feature Wolf’s former on-screen brother Matthew Fox).

Check out our exclusive interview with Wolf after the jump. Also, be sure to take a look at some of the exclusive clips we have from tonight’s pilot, and catch the first episode of V on ABC tonight, November 3rd at 8 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. Central).
