Welcome to this week’s On the Radar where we delve into all corners of the entertainment, tech and geek Internets for news, views and whatnot that may have escaped our regular coverage this week. Let is know if we missed something interesting. Let’s get started!
• You know the world of technology is getting out of hand when we see the first ever bluetooth enabled Smart Wallets.
• Can you remember how many films have used a character saying “blah, blah, blah”? You don’t have to, this sneaky editor combined all of them into one video.
• Bye Bye, Olivia. G4′s Attack of the Show has a brand new cohost, and she’s….somebody.
• Feel like your childhood was missing too many Cylons and Daleks? That problem is fixed by the fictional “Five Sci-Fi Children’s Books”
• Comedy Central has a brand new logo, but we can’t help shake the feeling it’s infringing a copyright somewhere.
• We can’t get enough of Daft Punk’s score for Tron: Legacy. To that point, here’s the official video for their title song, Derezzed.
• Some douche felt it was necessary to get the cast of Avatar tattooed on his back. We wonder if Cameron gets royalties every time this guy hits the beach.
• Some potentially spoilery set photos from Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class have surfaced. This is what happens when you let teens drive a stealth jet.
• Adidas has really kicked it this time. Take a look at the official C-3PO/R2D2 mash up sneakers.
• Because you love links and we love popular topics: Five Reasons Why It’s Ok to like Wikileaks.
• That does it for this week. Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and Facebook!

If you’re one of the many Star Wars fans who can’t make the trip to San Diego for Comic-Con this year to see the fan-favorite Lucasfilm panel presentation, don’t worry because the G4 network has got you covered. This year, Lucasfilm is teaming up with G4 to present the first-ever live television broadcast of the event from the San Diego Comic-Con. Cool, right? But wait, that’s not all.
Lucasfilm also promises to screen never-before-seen footage, breaking news, surprise announcements, guest stars and more. The Star Wars Spectacular will air Saturday, July 25th at 2 p.m. ET/PT on G4 and is hosted by Olivia Munn and Kevin Pereira. Joining them will be Lucasfilm’s own Steve Sansweet and guests from Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Voice actors from the show will also be present to provide an insider look at the Star Wars universe and perform a live reading of a new Clone Wars script. Additionally, fans will be able to submit Clone Wars questions for the panel through a special G4 site. Now if we can just get Olivia and Megan Fox to wear a “Slave Leia” costume, we might really be onto something.
San Diego Comic-Con runs from July 23 – 26 and The Flickcast team will be there in force. So, be sure to check back right here for all your Comic-Con news and info.

Aside from some potentially disturbing images, news has been pretty quiet about casting for Jon Favreau’s Iron Man 2. But recently, G4′s Olivia Munn, host of Attack of the Show, tweeted on Twitter that she’s working on two new film projects, one being the Tina Fey/Steve Carell project Date Night, and one that she couldn’t “legally” discuss.
It turns out that the film in question is Iron Man 2 and the general assumption is that she will have more of a cameo, showing up in a scene or two. Munn did, however, say on Twitter that she will “definitely” have a bigger part than her one-minute scene in Rob Schneider’s direct-to-DVD film Big Stan.
Aside from Stan, Munn can soon be seen in Broken Lizard’s Slammin’ Salmon, and of course every day on G4′s Attack of the Show, where they just announced Munn’s (clothed) appearance in the August/July issue of Playboy.
Check out the video of her Playboy shoot after the jump.
