Two New Clips From This Week’s ‘Glee’

by Matt Raub, Nov 16 2009 // 8:00 AM

110GLEE_Sc01_1178Fox’s Glee has tackled a pretty big group of hot-button subjects in it’s sophomore year on the network. So far, the show has touched on teen pregnancy, handicapped accessibility in high schools, bigotry, and this week the next taboo subject to hit is teen crushes with teachers.

In this week’s episode, entitled “Ballad”, Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) splits the Club into pairs to sing their favorite ballad, but when one kid gets sick, he’s forced to step in and winds up in a sticky situation. Meanwhile, Finn and Quinn have to face the music when dinner with her parents (guest stars Gregg Henry and Charlotte Ross) goes awry.

Check out two exclusive clips after the jump. In the first, Will and Rachel (Leah Michele) sing “Endless Love” as an example of a ballad for the other students, while Rachel realizes something new about him. In the second clip, Will remembers the first time a student had a crush on him, and things got weird.

Watch Glee’s “Ballad” this Wednesday, November 18 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), only on FOX.

Three New Clips Form Tonight’s ‘Glee’

by Matt Raub, Nov 11 2009 // 12:15 PM

Picture 2While most of the country got to watch the Yankees take home the World Series over the past two weeks, fans of the hit FOX show Glee had to sit and wait while their show was on hiatus. That wait ends tonight with the brand new episode, “Wheels.”

In tonight’s episode, the glee club is still on the road to the sectionals, and tonight the story is more about Artie (Kevin McHale). The rest of the group realizes how difficult it can be for Artie to have to keep up from the confines of a wheelchair, so Will (Matthew Morrison) decides to show everyone just how hard it can be.

Tonight’s episode features the songs “Dancing With Myself” by Billy Idol, “Defying Gravity” from the Broadway show Wicked and Ike and Tina Turner’s “Proud Mary.” Check out the clips after the jump, and be sure to catch “Wheels” tonight, November 11th, from 9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT on FOX.

Four New Clips from Tonight’s ‘Glee’

by Matt Raub, Oct 14 2009 // 12:00 PM

107Glee_Sc49_1182Things have been heating up on Glee with only 7 out of the 22 episode season airing so far on FOX. Will and Terri Shuester got a bit more argumentative when Terri decided to become a nurse at the school, thus infiltrating any flirting that may have been going on between he and Emma. Also the glee group is hitting some troubled times as Sue Sylvester continues to make their lives hell. What else could possibly go wrong?

Well it looks like tonight we’ll find out, as Jane Lynch’s Sue Sylvester gets appointed as co-director of the glee group. Will is forced to play nice with the totalitarian cheerleading coach, and Quinn’s secret may be out in the open once the school paper writes an exposé.

Click through to check out four new clips from tonight’s episode, “Throwdown”, which airs at 9pm/8pm Central. Be sure to hit iTunes after the show, as tonight’s music includes Jill Scott’s “Hate On Me”, The Supremes’ “You Keep Me Hangin’ On”, Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown’s “No Air”, and Avril Lavigne’s “Keep Holding On”.

Three New Clips From Tonight’s ‘Glee’

by Matt Raub, Oct 7 2009 // 12:30 PM

106Glee-ep106_scA25_7726At The Flickcast, we’ve made it pretty clear how much we enjoy the new FOX series Glee. It manages to incorporate all the things people love about karaoke, Friends, and any after-school special. On top of that, each episode seems to only get better, with each of that night’s songs breaking iTunes’ top 20 list instantly.

In tonight’s episode, “Vitamin D”, things seem to heat up for the adults. From a FOX press release:

In this week’s episode, Will (Matthew Morrison) challenges the kids to a healthy dose of competition with boys against girls in a mash-up showdown. Meanwhile, Terri (Jessalyn Gilsig) takes a job as the school nurse, despite having no medical experience, to keep an eye on her husband.

After the break, check out three brand new clips from tonight’s show, including one where Will sets up the boys vs. girls mash-up competition. This spawns tonight’s songs from Beyonce and Katrina and the Waves’ “Halo vs. Walkin’ on Sunshine” and Bon Jovi and Usher’s “It’s My Life vs. Confessions Part II.”

Watch Glee tonight at 9PM on FOX.

Three New Clips From Tonight’s Episode of ‘Glee’

by Matt Raub, Sep 30 2009 // 1:30 PM

Picture 1Glee is one of the new shows this season that seems to keep turning heads on a consistent basis. The fact that it’s a musical show, and still able to incorporate comedy, romance, and a bit of an After School Special feel to it while still remaining popular each week in very impressive.

Tonight’s episode is entitled “The Rhodes Not Taken” in which special guest star Kristin Chenoweth plays April Rhodes, an old classmate of Will’s. Kristen is known on Broadway for her work in such performances as Wicked, and known in the TV community for her supporting role on ABC’s Pushing Daisies.

The show’s music has been doing exponentially better each week in sales. From a Fox Press release:

Columbia Records and Twentieth Century Fox Television today released select songs featured in this week’s episode of GLEE, including show-stopping versions of “Maybe This Time” from “Cabaret” performed by APRIL RHODES (guest star Kristin Chenoweth) and RACHEL BERRY (Lea Michele) and Heart’s “Alone” sung by APRIL (Chenoweth) and WILL SCHUESTER (Matthew Morrison). These tracks join 11 songs already available on iTunes, including “Don’t Stop Believin’,” which shot up to No. 1 after the GLEE preview event, as well as Michele’s “Take A Bow,” which peaked at No. 6 and “Taking Chances” which peaked at No. 11.

Check out three new clips from tonight’s episode after the jump. Be sure to catch Glee tonight on FOX at 9pm/8pm Central
