Just when you thought FX’s hit comedy about a group of guys and their fantasy football league couldn’t get any more uproarious and funny, they’re adding one of the bigger names in comedy today to the mix for the season 3 premiere, as Seth Rogen gets cast as the infamous Dirty Randy.

The character is pretty famous to those who watch the show, and we’re finally getting a face to the name this season. TV Guide has the full scoop.

Creators and executive producers Jackie and Jeff Schaffer promised fans last year that they would reveal the oft-mentioned, but never-seen friend of Rafic(Jason Mantzoukas)if the comedy was picked up for a third season.

“As the legend of Dirty Randy grew among our fans — is that Dirty Randy? Is that a shot of Dirty Randy? — we realized we really have to step up here,” Jeff Schaffer told TVGuide.com Saturday. “We started talking about who the funniest people we know who aren’t on the show already, and [Rogen] was at the top of the list.”

The MPAA is a funny organization. Depending on the director, producer, or studio, it will determine a film’s overall success by slapping it with a rating that could cut its possible audience down to a third.

A few years ago, there was a dispute between the MPAA and Kevin Smith (go figure) about the title of his film, Zach and Miri Make a Porno. The organization wanted to give the film an NC-17 rating based purely on the premise and title, without taking into consideration the fact that it was a satire. After a debate, the film got released with an R rating and everyone was happy (except for those who saw the flick).

Now, another film with an iffy title and premise comes along and gets a hard R rating right out of the cage. We present to you the synopsis for A Good Old Fashioned Orgy.

Jason Sudeikis is Eric, a thirtysomething party animal famous among his close circle of friends for his lavish summer theme parties at his father’s swanky Hamptons pad. But when members of the crew start settling down, and Eric’s dad announces plans to sell the beach house, Eric decides it’s time for one last bash to go out with a proverbial bang—a good old-fashioned orgy. The only obstacles to overcome are actually convincing each of his reluctant friends to join in on the bacchanal, and an inconveniently blossoming romance with the real estate agent threatening to sell the house out from under him before the main event can even take place.

Giving credit where credit’s due, the film looks hilarious. A cast of Sudeikis, Tyler Labine, and Nick Kroll alone is enough to keep the laughs coming. When you add a pending orgy, things only get better.

We may have football just out of our systems after Super Bowl Sunday, but that doesn’t mean FX isn’t going ahead with their hit fantasy football comedy, The League. After a successful first and second season, it looks like we can sit back with a beer and bowl of chips for a whole new third season. From THR:

The network has ordered 13 episodes of the show, which is set against the backdrop of a fantasy football league. Production will get under way in the summer for a fall premiere.

“We love the show, and the reaction the cast received across the country during their recent comedy tour is a sign the show is really building momentum,” FX executive vp original programming Nick Grad said.

Aside from being a relatively cheap show to make for the network, the season averaged roughly 1.4 million viewers in the 18-49 demo, which is the exact age range that FX reaches for with their original and syndicated programming.

No word on what we can expect to see in the upcoming season, but you can expect to see Nick Kroll, Jeremy Cowart, Katie Aselton, Jon Lajoie, Stephen Rannazzisi, Mark Duplass, and Paul Scheer to all return this Fall on FX.

Remember how much you enjoyed Forgetting Sarah Marshall? That is, if you did. Either way, you’re in luck, because the least entertaining part of that film is back, and this time you get a whole 90 minutes of it!

Basically, director Nicholas Stoller loved the scene from Sarah Marshall where Jonah Hill acts quirky around Russell Brand’s Aldous Snow so much that he felt the need to work that into an entire movie. And here it is. The premise follows music label assistant Hill, who needs to get Brand’s “Snow” to L.A.’s Greek Theater, while learning to live life like a rock star along the way.

Even the use of comedians Nick Kroll and Aziz Ansari are instantly quashed when Sean “P. Diddy” Combs takes up a good half of the trailer. This looks to be Universal’s big attempt at comedy this year, which will go up against others like Date Night starring Steve Carrell and Tina Fey, the Death At a Funeral remake, and Katherine Heigl’s Killers.

It’s up to MacGruber, Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil, and Hot Tub Time Machine to save us in 2010. No matter what happens, check out the first trailer for Get Him To The Greek after the jump, which hits theaters on June 4th.
