Supernatural is one of those shows that when it debuted, we were a bit skeptical about. Fortunately, over the past seasons it has proven itself to be highly entertaining and suspenseful and worth of attention. If you’ve never seen it, it is definitely worth a look.
To help current fans and those of you just coming to the party we’ve got a preview for tonight’s all-new episode to share with you today, courtesy of our friends at the CW. In these two clips we get quite a bit of info about tonight’s episode entitled “The Devil You Know.”
Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) face off against The Horsemen when the demon Crowley (Mark Sheppard) tells them he can help them find the remaining Horsemen rings so they can trap Lucifer. The brothers are doubtful until Crowley leads them to Brady (Eric Johnson), the demon Handler for Pestilence (Matt Frewer) and Death. However, Brady refuses to give up their locations and sets Pestilence after the Winchesters — which is not something you want to have happen.
Check out both previews for tonight’s episode after the jump. Supernatural airs tonight at 9/8C on The CW.

We’ve been bringing you previews for these two cool shows for several weeks now and today is no exception as we’ve got more videos from Ghost Hunters and Destination Truth to share today. And make no mistake, these look like a couple of great episodes.
First off, we’ve got a clip from Ghost Hunters where Britt and Andy make contact with the victim of a shocking crime. What’s more shocking is how scary this turns out to be. Next up on Destination Truth, Josh Gates and the team search for an evil spirit plaguing one of the world’s seven wonders. But really, it’s a wonder the team makes it out alive. Sorry, couldn’t help myself.
It all starts tonight at 9/8C with Ghost Hunters followed by Destination Truth only on Syfy. Check out the previews after the jump.

Now that the hiatus is over, everybody’s favorite paranormal adventure series Supernatural is back and even better. Last week’s episode was quite a doozy, but this week things get a bit celestial. From the CW:
It’s no April Fools Day joke when fellow hunters track and kill Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) as retribution for starting the apocalypse. The boys are surprised to find themselves in Heaven and with Castiel’s (Misha Collins) help navigating Paradise, they begin searching for information about God’s whereabouts. In the meantime, Zachariah (guest star Kurt Fuller) continues his intense quest to find the brothers and force them to accept their destinies as Lucifer & Michael’s vessels.
Check out three brand new clips from this week’s episode after the jump, and be sure to catch Supernatural’s “Dark Side of the Moon” this Thursday at 9PM ET/PT on The CW.

In additon to the awesome Psych season finale airing tonight, another of our favorite shows is airing a new episode as well: Ghost Hunters. This week, in an episode eititled “Fort Ticonderoga” the team heads a famous revolutionary war battleground in search of one thing: ghosts.
As they are in a place where thousands of men fought and died you can imagine thie are is probably full of ghosts just waiting to scar the crap out of the team. In the clip we get a glimpse of the area where the battle took place and follow the team as they attempt to uncover the secrets buried there. Fortunately for us, the viewing audience, those secrets don’t stay buried for long.
Check out the preview after the jump. Ghost Hunters airs tonight at 9/8C on Syfy.

Some early renewals for some popular shows over on the CW have just come in. The network has given the green light for new seasons of Supernatural, Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, 90201 and America’s Next Top Model.
No word on any other renewals of yet for shows we’re interested in, like Smallville, but with these early ones announced, it’s only a matter of time before we hear about more. The Supernatural and Vampire Diaries renewals weren’t completely unexpected as they’ve been doing well in the ratings, but for some reason I thought Top Model was on its last legs. Oh well, another season of beautiful models doing photo shoots in skimpy outfits can’t be all bad, right?
Here’s all the info from the CW about these renewals from their official press release:
THE CW ANNOUNCES EARLY PICKUPS FOR FIVE SERIES
Freshman Hit “The Vampire Diaries,” “Gossip Girl,” “90210,” “Supernatural” and “America’s Next Top Model” To Return Next Season
February 16, 2010 (Burbank, California) ─ The CW Network has given early pickups to five series for next season, including four signature dramas and the reality hit AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL. All five shows will return in Fall 2010.
The series receiving early renewals include this season’s breakout hit THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, The CW’s most-watched show (4.6 million viewers) and the network’s number one show among adults 18-34 (2.5/8). THE VAMPIRE DIARIES premiere generated the largest audience in network history for a series debut (5.7 million total viewers). THE VAMPIRE DIARIES has improved The CW’s performance Thursday at 8:00 p.m. by 114% among women 18-34 this season.

Who doesn’t love a good “swapped bodies” storyline? Just about every show has done it at one point. From Buffy to Gilligan’s Island to The X-Files, there are over 50 TV episodes that focus on the plot, and now that Supernatural has hit its fifth season, its their turn.
It isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Plenty of shows have stooped lower by pulling off a “trapped in a freezer and forced to tell stories” clip show, or even a musical episode. The “body swap” storyline is only a right of passage after you hit so many episodes, and it looks like this one is just that. From The CW:
High school nerd Gary (guest star Colton James), conjures up a body-switching spell and changes bodies with Sam (Jared Padalecki). Thrilled by his new handsome and built body, Gary (now Sam) investigates a case with Dean (Jensen Ackles) and takes advantage of Sam’s good looks and age by hitting on women and getting drunk. Meanwhile, the real Sam is stuck inside Gary’s teenage body, dealing with intrusive parents and high school.
The episode also guest stars Mad Men’s Sarah Drew. Check out two new clips from the upcoming “Swap Meat” episode, and be sure to catch it this Thursday night at 9:00 PM ET/PT on The CW.

The CW (Formerly UPN and The WB) has managed to latch on to some strong properties over the years, while of course picking up a few new ones, such as Gossip Girl. One of the original series’ that seems to stay strong, even in it’s fifth season, is Supernatural.
This season, thing seem to get a bit more interesting as the show attempts some risky episode scripts. Back in November, the “Changing Channels” episode had the two brothers flipping into different fictitious TV shows, which were basic spoofs of the other shows in Supernatural’s timeslot.
This week it seems that they’ll be taking a page from the book of Buffy, as Sam and Dean get locked up in an insane asylum. From Warner:
SAM & DEAN LOCKED UP IN THE NUTHOUSE?! – Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) go undercover at a mental institution in response
to a distress call from Martin Creaser, a former hunter (guest star Jon Gries) who’s a patient there. Creaser thinks supernatural forces may be the real reason behind a large number of patient suicides and is afraid for his own life, but the experience proves to be a very dangerous one for the Winchester brothers as well.
Check out two brand-new clips from “Sam, Interrupted” after the jump. Be sure to catch this week’s episode Of Supernatural on Thursday at 9:00pm ET/PT on The CW.

The year 2010 is here! With a new year comes resolutions to make, new goals in mind, and new schedules to follow. But it also means some brand new TV for us all to enjoy.
January 14th
This night brings the return of some of our favorite shows here at The Flickcast including 30 Rock, Bones, Fringe, Supernatural, Grey’s Anatomy, CSI, Private Practice and The Mentalist.
All these shows have been on hiatus, some for almost a month, so with these ratings giants this is sure to be the biggest night on TV all month, no matter what channel you’re watching.
Chuck
Everyone’s favorite geek-turned-spy is back, and Chuck is better than ever. After downloading the Intersect 2.0, we’ll see Chuck perform karate chops AND Spanish Guitar in his quest to keep his family safe and lead a normal life.
Chuck returns for its third season on January 10th with a two hour premiere, and a brand new episode the day after!
American Idol
Regardless of how you feel about this show, you can’t deny its cultural impact and the success it has produced. However, the fun in watching the first few weeks of American Idol is not the talented singers or the tense eliminations.
It’s watching all the people who really can’t sing try their hand at making it big and failing miserably. Let’s face it, with the economy in the can and the current political climate, we all need a little schadenfreude. Idol returns on January 12th on Fox.

Those who have been a fan of Warner Bros’ Supernatural know that the show has only gotten better in it’s four and a half seasons. The show struggled on the WB for a while, but then thrived when the network made the switch to the new “CW”.
This season has been heating up quite a bit and we’ve got a brand new video package showing us clips from the next three episodes of the show. First, from tonight’s “I Believe the Children Are Our Future”, A series of strange and seemingly unexplainable deaths in a small town lead Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) to the home of a young local boy, whose true identity has Castiel (Misha Collins) bent on his immediate destruction.
From “The Curious Case of Dean Winchester”, airing next Thursday, when a 25-year-old man drops dead of old age and a 60-something man goes missing, only to turn up young and extremely healthy, the Winchesters investigate and discover a backroom poker game where players gamble to win or lose years of their lives. And finally, in “Changing Channels”, airing on November 5, Sam and Dean find themselves living their lives on what appear to be TV shiows. It takes an interesting turn when the show changes from sitcom, to soapy hospital drama to Japanese gameshow.
Catch the preview clip after the jump, and be sure to catch Supernatural on the CW every Thursday at 9pm ET/PC.

Television network ABC has effectively staked their claim to rule Thursday nights, if the return numbers from The Hollywood Reporter are any indication. But instead of trying to make sense of those numbers, let’s break it down in a more digestible format, and what you really need to know is that ABC crushed the competition.
Both Grey’s Anatomy and the season premiere of Private Practice won their respective time slots while FlashForward tied with CBS’ Survivor in theirs, translating to an almost clean sweep. While most of the other shows couldn’t produce the same viewership, they managed to stay the course and not drop too much. CBS’ CSI: Crime Scene Investigations and The Mentalist, Fox’s Bones and Fringe and The CW’s Vampire Diaries and Supernatural all enjoyed different levels of success.
Left in the cold, however, is NBC and their sinking line-up of programming. Parks and Recreation, Community and SNL Weekend Update Thursday managed to produce poor numbers. Even fan-favorite The Office only managed to do “average,” leading to the former home of “Must See Thursday” placing fourth among the top-tiered networks.
