As they say out in the world, get it while its hot. This brand new trailer for Joe Carahan’s upcoming reboot of The A-Team can’t last long so be sure to check it out after the jump. In case you’re not familiar, the film features Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Sharlto Copley and “Rampage” Jackson as a team of mercenaries convicted of a crime they didn’t commit who now fight for the little guy (or girl) while hiding out in the Los Angeles underground.
We really love this cast, although Rampage Jackson seems to not have much of a sense of humor — much like his character should probably be. The trailer also features a voiceover narration nearly identical to the TV show’s (which is pretty cool), and the action is what you’d expect until the end when it kinda goes too far when a parachuting tank shoots down an airplane. Hey, that could happen, right? But all is pretty much saved, at least for me, with the tag line “There is no plan B.” Nice.
Anyway, check it out and judge for yourself. But hurry.
Update: As we said, the video went fast and is now gone. Look for the “official” one to be released shortly.
Update 2: And now the trailer is “officially” out and if you click through you can see it.

I’ve made no secret about being excited for the The A-Team movie coming out this summer. No matter what other trailer I see (including even Iron Man 2) there’s something about The A-Team that just resonates with me. Maybe it’s the nostalgia factor or it could be that director Joe Carnahan knows how to make a kick-ass action film (see Smokin’ Aces). Either way, it’s my number one pick for the 2010 Summer blockbuster season.
One particular aspect of the new film I’m looking forward to are the cameos from Dirk Benedict and Dwight Shultz, the original Faceman and Murdock. With these two secured I was certain Carnahan would pull off the best cameo trio ever and get Mr. T as well. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Latino Review caught up with Mr. T (at a gym no less) and asked him about whether he’d be in the new film, which apparently he won’t be:

When official word came that Dwight Shultz, the original Murdock, would be appearing in the new A-Team movie we were anxious to know if any other actors would be involved. Well, good news A-Team fans, because the original Faceman, Dirk Benedict, will be making an appearance as well. While no details were provided, his official website did state he would be involved:
“Dirk has just announced to this website that he has two projects in the works beginning with a cameo appearance in the new “The A-Team” film, which is currently shooting in Vancouver Canada.”
This is great news and means the only member of the original cast to confirm is Mr. T. Hopefully he’ll come on board and make this the trifecta of casting for a film remake. Sadly, George Peppard will not be returning having passed away in 1994. However, maybe Melinda Culea, Amy Allen on the original series, may return.
Much like Shultz, Benedict brings some extra geek cred to the role having played Starbuck on the original Battlestar Galactica. I’m hesitant to even mention it though considering how angry Benedict seemed about a woman taking over his role. If you haven’t read his “manifesto” about the new BSG series it’s pretty entertaining.
The A-Team comes to theaters June 11, 2010.

There’s a lot of anticipation for the upcoming The A-Team film. Most of the hype is probably being generated by yours truly. What can I say? I really want to see this film be a huge success.
Well, let me add to the hype machine with news that the original “Howling Mad” Murdoch will have a cameo in the new movie. According to the official Dwight Shultz site:
“We are pleased to inform you all that Dwight has actually already been working in Vancouver, where he has played a cameo role in The A-Team movie. Sharlto Copely, the South African actor who plays Murdock, is according to Dwight: ‘brilliant beyond words’. Dwight has seen his screen test and he stated: that honestly, if Sharlto is given an opportunity to do what I saw in that test, “Murdock” will be better than ever!’ Sharlto has been very kind to him on the set and Dwight must say that he has been treated very well.”
It’s great to hear the old Murdoch fully endorse the new Murdoch. Further, as cool as it will be to see an original A-Team cast member return Shultz’s inclusion will also cater to all the Star Trek fans who remember him as Lt. Reginald Barclay III. Now we just need to get Dirk Benedict and Mr. T involved to make this possibly the best remake ever.

Entertainment Tonight took a trip to the set of The A-Team and got some behind the scenes footage. While they primarily speak to Bradley Cooper (Lt. Templeton “Faceman” Peck) and Jessica Biel (as yet unnamed former love interest of “Faceman”) there is a brief meeting with Quinton “Rampage” Jackson (Sgt. “B.A.” Baracus) and his iconic mohawk.
I wish I could say the clip gives us riveting information about the upcoming film. Unfortunately, ET decided to delve into “the big question”, “Is there an A-Team love story?” Seriously, ET? Show me one person who actually asked that question.
Anyway, ET went there and in return we get to see some of the most inane banter between Jessica Biel and an ET reporter ever. In other farthest-thing-from-spoiler-news we also find out Cooper’s dietary habits to get in shape for the role. Way to go ET! You truly know how to bring the fans what they want (please note sarcasm).
Alright, complaining aside it’s finally good to see some video of these actors as their respective characters. The A-Team comes to theaters June 11, 2010. Check out the clip after the jump.

Over the last few weeks we’ve had the first looks at the The A-Team’s brand new van, the assembled team and Bradley Cooper’s “Faceman” showing his skills with automatic weapons. But until now, there was one other piece of the casting puzzle that was missing: Jesssica Biel’s character. Now, thanks to the fine folks at Geek Tyrant, we’ve got the fist pics of her as well.
As Biel’s character wasn’t in the original series, I’m not as interested to see what she looks like in the movie — other than the more obvious reasons. It was more important to find out how closely the film’s new team, which includes Liam Neeson, Sharlito Copley, “Rampage” Jackson and the aforementioned Bradley Cooper, would stack up to their series originals. Fortunately, they stack up very well.
With all the great pics coming out showing how much director Joe Carnahan seems to be both paying homage and modernizing the look of The A-Team, really only one other question remains about the cast: Does “Rampage” Jackson’s character sport a Mohawk like Mt. T did in the original series? As they say, inquiring minds want to know.
With all the info starting to come out now about the film, its just a matter of time before we find out the truth behind this very important piece of info. My guess right now? He does.
The A-Team hits theaters on June 11, 2010. Check out a larger pic of Biel’s character after the jump.

As more and more news comes out about Joe Carnahan’s upcoming remake of The A-Team I’ve grown very interested, and anxious. When I first heard about the film I was skeptical. Was this to be another comedic derivitive of a somewhat serious show much like the Starsky and Hutch movie starring Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson?
Alright, I realize there was something inherently funny about the original A-Team series, but it was the Eighties and that’s what television was like back then. Strip away the one liners and jabs and the core of the show made an effort to follow a somewhat serious vein.
To that end, it appears Carnahan is determined to make this a great action film (If you’ve seen Smokin’ Aces, you’ll know what I’m talking about) based on some more set photos. Testament to this are the shots of Bradley Cooper rehearsing on set with an assault rifle in hand. It looks pretty intense and…okay, I’ll just say it, awesome!
Fortunately, as serious as Carnhan may take the film it certainly looks as though he’s preserving the original look. Seeing the cast of Liam Neeson as John “Hannibal” Smith, Bradley Cooper as Templeton “Faceman” Peck, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson as B.A. Baracus, and Sharlto Copley as H.M. “Howling Mad” Murdock in costume instantly invokes images of the series I refused to miss each week. I can almost hear the theme song playing in my head when I see the pictures.
While it remains to be seen if Jackson actually has a Mohawk under his cap, Neeson’s grey hair, Cooper’s suit jacket, and Copley’s baseball cap make it clear to me this film will pay proper homage to the series I grew up with. Granted, it’s still hard to gauge without seeing some actual footage but so far I’m sold!
The A-Team opens in theaters June 11, 2010. Check out some bigger photos after the jump.

Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later because you can’t really hide anything from the Internet these days. In spite of the best efforts by studios and their minions, important things have a way of getting out — like a new photo of The A-Team team that recently surfaced at ComingSoon. Previously, we had a photo of the team’s van in action and now in this new pic we get our first real glimpse at the new team, which includes Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Sharlito Copley and “Rampage” Jackson.
After seeing this pic I gotta say they all look pretty darn good. Although, with Joe Carnahan at the helm I was sorta hoping for a pic of the team doing what it does best: shooting machine guns, flipping cars and blowing stuff up. Still, this is a pretty cool image anyway and I’m sure sooner or later (Probably sooner) we will get photos like that. Plus, we’ll probably get a photo of Jessica Biel in uniform at some point as well.
With this kind of cast and knowing what Caranahan can do with action, this movie is shaping up to be one I’m excited to see. Unfortunately, like the rest of you, I’ll have to wait until June 11, 2010 to do that. Well, at least we can look forward to more photos like this along the way which, given the nature of things, is almost certain to happen.
Check out a larger version of the pic after the jump.

The A-Team cast continues to grow with the addition of Patrick Wilson who will play a CIA operative in the new film. Wilson joins the star lineup of Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Quinton Jackson, Sharlto Copley and Jessica Biel. If you don’t recognize Wilson’s name you’ll probably remember him best for his role as Night Owl II in Watchmen.
Wilson delivered a great performance as the second Night Owl. Not only did he convey a sense of mundane self-deprecation but in complete contrast brought some serious action scenes to the film as well. All that and he still found the time for a pretty good love scene with Silk Spectre II (Malin Ackerman). That range of acting should help Wilson craft a worth ally, or adversary, for The A-Team.
The A-Team rides into theaters June 11, 2010.

Typically film remakes come with a lot of changes. As new creators step into production roles they have their own vision for the content and make full use of their creative license. This being the case, it’s a refreshing change to see something stay the same. Case in point, the van in the upcoming The A-Team movie.
Photos of the van were taken on set in British Columbia, Canada and it looks great. That is to say, the “new” van is nearly identical to the old van. Even down to the red racing stripe. This gives me hope that director Joe Carnahan (Smokin’ Aces) is preserving at least some of the essence of the original series, while bringing a more mature tone to the once campy show.
I’m taking this a good thing considering some other directors (I could cite names but will refrain) would have certainly changed the iconic van. Fortunately, Carnahan didn’t, which means we’re spared from seeing a pimped out black Hummer with gatling guns and rocket launchers on it. Now that I mention it, that sounds kind of cool but it just isn’t The A-Team. Getting ready to see the van in action next June when The A-Team comes to theaters.

Coming off of news about a month ago that Bradley Cooper was joining the ‘Team’ as Templeton “Faceman” Peck, and then word that Liam Neeson was joining as Col. John “Hannibal” Smith, it looks like rapper The Game is in “serious consideration” to take on the role of B.A. Baracus, joining Joe Carnahan’s cast in what is shaping up to be an interesting film.
According to Blackfilm.com, who has the exclusive, they say that The Game (real name Jayceon Taylor) is being seriously considered for the role, and will be going head-to-head with other potentials like Common, Ice Cube, and mixed martial artist Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. It looks like the role once portrayed by Mr. T is shaping up to be quite a battle of rappers, which can only help the film’s publicity.
As of today, The Game has only a handful of on-screen credits, ranging from 2006′s Waist Deep with Tyrese Gibson to 2008′s Street Kings with Keanu Reeves and Forest Whitaker. This isn’t a huge change from Mr. T’s credits, which were only 3 films and a TV appearance before taking on the role in 1983.
If this news turns out to be solid, that only leaves one more role to be filled: Capt. H.M. “Howling Mad” Murdock, who was originally played by Dwight Shultz in the series. There is no word yet on what direction Carnahan is planning on going with that one, but when there is, we’ll bring it to you. With a screenplay by the team that brought us Wanted and the remake of 3:10 to Yuma, Derek Haas and Michael Brandt, the film is currently set for a June 11th release date in 2010.
