Although the light cycles and identity discs are pretty cool, by far the coolest visual aspect to both TRON and the upcoming TRON: Legacy is the skintight light suits that all of the characters in the game grid sport. One question has always arrisen though: where do those wonderful suits come from?
Do they manifest the moment a player enters the game, or is there a gigantic TRON Gap store that players have to go through to pick them up? Well, in this new clip we finally get that mystery revealed.
In the film, Sam Flynn, son of the famed game creator Kevin Flynn gets transported into the game where he embarks on a journey to save his trapped father.
After the jump, check out a clip from TRON: Legacy in which the game sirens dress Sam in the traditional light suit and get him ready for his very first game. Be sure to catch TRON: Legacy in theaters on December 17th.

Just in time for a Tuesday comes the latest trailer for Disney’s highly anticipated sequel Tron Legacy. I say “highly anticipated” but in truth, it may only be the geeks and fans of the original movie who respond to this new one. But really, that’s just fine with me.
In case you haven’t been watching TV, reading a comic book or on the Internet prior to today, the new film picks up almost 28 years after the events of 1982′s original. Jeff Bridge’s Kevin Flynn has gone missing and it’s up to his son, Sam (Garrett Hedlund), to get to the bottom of the mystery. Mix this story with some very impressive visuals of the game grid and more plus Olivia Wilde in a skin-tight outfit, and you’ve got yourself a film.
How good a film remains to be seen. However, with this new trailer added to the mix it’s definitely looking better and better. Check out all the trailerery goodness after the jump. And no, the above picture doesn’t really have that much to do with this trailer, it just looks good.
Tron Legacy fills us with a sense of wonder and awe starting on December 17.

It’s looking like this holiday season will be stacked up with tons of cinematic treats for adults this year, rather than in previous years when it’s been geared toward families. While comedies like Yogi Bear, Little Fockers and Gulliver’s Travels will most likely flop, films like True Grit and Tron: Legacy will definitely be enough to make this a Hollywood Christmas.
Not counting a few trailers, we haven’t gotten to see much of the upcoming Tron sequel. Daft Punk released a music video that gave us a bit more of the 100% computer-generated TRON world. Now we’re finally getting something with human actors as a scene with Jeff Bridges and Garrett Hedlund, the on-screen father and son of the Flynn’s, has hit the web.
The film picks up almost 28 years after the events of 1982′s original film. Jeff Bridge’s Kevin Flynn has gone missing and it’s up to his son, Sam, to get to the bottom of the mystery. Mix this story with a bunch of amazing visual shots of the game grid and Olivia Wilde in a skin-tight Tron suit, and you’ve got yourself a film.
Check out this new scene after the jump. Be sure to catch TRON: LEGACY in theaters, IMAX, and Disney 3D everywhere on December 17th.

While Kanye may be off producing 30 minute super music videos that don’t make any sense, the band Daft Punk is actually doing an incredible service to the world of geek by producing their newest music video for the song Derezzed completely in the world of TRON: Legacy.
The electronica band is doing all of the music for the film (yes, just like Queen did for Flash Gordon) and if the rest of the songs on the album are anything like this one, you can expect some intense score for the rest of the film.
This new music video gives us some great new shots of the TRON world, including suiting up in the infamous suit, having a light disc battle, and even racing along the endless field of circuits.
Check out the music video after the jump, and be sure to catch TRON: Legacy in theaters in both 3D and IMAX this Christmas.

Back in 1982, a movie called TRON about a programmer that is thrown into his own video game universe took the nerd world by storm. For decades, guys and girls alike were hot gluing LED ropes to black leggings so that they can look like their favorite science fiction hero. Now, those fans are getting the opportunity to live it all over again as TRON: Legacy hits theaters this December.
With that amount of fan hype involved, it’s almost understandable that a publishing company as big as Marvel would want to jump on into pimping the film with some awesome crosspromotion. Not to mention the fact that Disney and Marvel are one in the same now.
Starting next month, 10 different popular titles will get special TRON-ized variant covers by artists like Mark Brooks (Avengers: The Initiative) and Brandon Peterson (Uncanny X-Men).
The books you need to look for are as follows:
Amazing Spider-Man #651, Avengers #7, Avengers Academy #7, Captain America #612, Incredible Hulks #618, Invincible Iron Man #33, New Avengers #7, Secret Avengers #7, Thor #617, and Wolverine #4.
Before they even hit shelves next month, be sure to check out each of these variant covers after the jump, and get your TRON on December 17th!

I think it’s safe to say that people are looking forward to the upcoming film Tron Legacy. With the release date of the film getting ever closer each day, Marvel has decided to throw us a bone and send over a preview for the comic book adaptation of the film that started it all: the original Tron.
These pages will surely go a along way to build interest in the film and the comic. Written by Peter David with art by Mirco Pierfederici and covers by Greg Land and Salvador Larocca, the comic features what Marvel calls a “stunning new visualization” of the original Tron film.
In addition, you can learn the secrets of the Tron universe, discover its cast of dynamic characters and witness the events of the legendary film in an all-new comic event with Tron: Original Movie Adaptation #1. Plus, once you absorb at this info, you’ll be more than ready to experience the exciting movie sequel, and comic adaptation, coming soon.
Tron: The Original Movie Adaptation comic hits store shelves on November 3. Until then, check out some preview pages after the jump.

With Disney’s acquisition of Marvel it was likely we would see comics coming from the publisher that are traditional Disney titles or movie tie-ins. An example of this is the upcoming prequel graphic novel for Disney’s Tron: Legacy film called Tron: Betrayal!
Here’s all the scoop on this graphic novel from our friends at Marvel:
Tron: Betrayal! bridges the story between the first Tron film from 1982 and the the new film and tells the story of Kevin Flynn, who is now in charge of the world’s largest video game company, Encom. The break-through game developer has built the Grid, a digital world filled with living programs except now the new virtual world is about to develop a life of its own and, in order to control it, Flynn’s going to need the help of an old friend: Tron.
Showcasing a key time of the mythology of the Tron world, TRON: Betrayal #1 will show the early days of the Grid, and the first appearances of the heroes and villains that will be seen in TRON: Legacy.
Sounds interesting. If it’s half as good as IDW’s prequel comic from J.J. Abrams recent Star Trek film, it might just be worth a read.
Check out the previews for this graphic novel after the jump. Tron: Betrayal! hits store shelves on October 6th.

Excited for Tron: Legacy? Can’t wait until the December 17 release date?
Maybe some pictures from last night’s Walt-Disney/MySpace party, which featured cast members and other filmmakers can tide you over for now. In attendance at Flynn’s Arcade during the Comic-Con International gala were stars Jeff Bridges, who reprises his role as Kevin Flynn in the new movie, Bruce Boxleitner, James Frain, Beau Garrett and director Joe Kosinski.
Also on had were producer Sean Bailey, and Tron creator Steven Lisberger. Other party-goers included directors Bryan Singer (The Usual Suspects), Eli Roth (Hostel), Len Wiseman, Michel Gondry, Nathan Fillion, Robert Orci, Tia Carrera, and Zachary Levi.
Tron: Legacy picks up where the other film left off 27 years ago with Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), son of the world-famous video-game developer Kevin Flynn, investigating his father’s mysterious disappearance. His quest leads him to a virtual world where his father’s been trapped for the past 20 years. As father and son make their way across the digital landscape, the two encounter strange and futuristic inventions determined to prevent their escape.

Promptly following it’s premier at their Comic-con panel, Disney’s Tron: Legacy new trailer has hit the web. For those of you looking for some glowing spandex action, this trailer does not disappoint. With flying L.E.D. motorcycles and L.E.D. covered razor Frisbees, we can expect lots of colorful action, especially in 3D.
It also features the first glimpse of the CGI versions of a young Jeff Bridges’ Flynn. Unfortunately, the technology has not improved much since it was used with Patrick Stewart’s Professor X and Sir Ian McKellan’s Magneto in X-Men: The Last Stand four years ago. It appears that instead of Flynn, we are watching the characters interact with the Tom Hanks character from Polar Express.
Tron: Legacy stars Oscar Winner Jeff Bridges (Crazy Heart), Garrett Hedlund (Eragon) and Olivia Wilde (Year One). Rookie director Joseph Kosinski has brought to life the imaginative script of co-writers Richard Jefferies and Adam Horowitz. You may recognize Adam Horowitz’s name from his days as a co-producer and writer on the hit TV show Lost.
With Tron: Legacy being written by someone so heavily involved in Lost, do you think we can expect a similarly mind boggling story line from Tron:Legacy?
Tron: Legacy will be hitting theaters December 17th, but until then keep it here for all your Tron: Legacy news and check out the trailer after the break.

Here we are. Day one has officially started and San Diego Comic-Con 2010 is underway. Last night, we were able to get onto the show floor for Preview Night and check out some of this year’s cool attractions and booths.
Last year, we remember some of the cool booths around the Con such as the Stargate booth, Marvel’s infamous Iron Man suit collection, and even the annual WB water tower. This year there is some of the same, but some pretty cool additions as well.
With the amount of popular comic book film and TV franchises, you can expect to see plenty of cool set decorations around the showroom this year. One of our personal favorites is the Odin’s throne, which is about as epic as the film looks to be.
Also seen last night is the cool new lightcycle from the upcoming Tron: Legacy film, a great zombie crime scene from the upcoming Walking Dead adaptation on AMC, and of course our first look at Abin Sur from the upcoming Green Lantern film.
Check out our full gallery from Preview Night after the jump and keep it with us all week for all of your San Diego Comic-Con 2010 coverage.

Normally when things like this come out we try to do a full writeup and explain all the pics or the trailer or whatever new bit of info has surfaced. This time, however, I think I’ll let the photos do the talking for themselves — especially as those photos just happen to be some awesome new ones from Tron Legacy.
Coming from our pals across the pond at Empire Magazine, these new pics are from a new article in the magazine hitting newsstands today. Needless to say, they look pretty damn awesome.
Having just watched the first Tron again recently, I like the direction they are going with this new film. Can’t wait to see more. What about you guys? Does this get you excited for more Tron Legacy?
Check out more pics after the jump. Tron Legacy hits theaters on December 17.

Hey brother, can you spare, oh, $35,000? If so, I don’t have a bridge to sell you, but I do have a Tron Lightcycle you might be interested in. According to Gizmodo, there are five exclusive Lightcycles currently up for auction on eBay. They are being built by same team who replicated Batman’s Batpod earlier this year.
The Parker Brothers team is building 5 custom one off “Lightcycles” to the exact specs of the movie bikes. Each bike will be black with an accent color – 5 bikes with 5 different accent colors (red, blue, yellow, green, and orange). There will only be one bike made per color so if you must have a certain color, you better call now…
About the bikes themselves, the wheels are custom made 22″ x12″ dual hubless wheels with custom made tires (Hoosier is custom making 5 sets just for us specifically for this project). (Buyers will have the option of additional tires as needed) The frame is 2″ cold rolled and boxed hardened steel with carbon fiber/fiberglass bodies. Accent colors are neon glowing from behind frosted plexiglass and can be turned off or on with the flip of a switch.
Additionally, each bike will come with it’s own Tron helmet and the owner will be able to watch their bike being built on YouTube.
Going once…going twice…
Tron Legacy will be in theaters December 15.

Somebody must have brought the idea of viral marketing to Disney executives last year because they have been coming out of the woodwork with some pretty impressive new strategies. They started with Tron Legacy last year at San Diego Comic-Con with the exclusive “Flynn’s Arcade” party, which opened up into a huge crowd of gaming and film fans alike.
Now, they’re getting a bit deeper into the world of Tron, as a fake campaign has begun for the release of “Space Paranoids Online”, one of the original games created by Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges) and ENCOM, the character and company from the original Tron film.
The trailer also leads fans back to EncomInternational.com, which is a neat viral site used to show off the films fictitious evil company. You can tell from the site that the film’s main plot is that ENCOM plans to integrate the world into their video game universe, much like in the original film.
Check out the trailer for “Space Paranoids Online” after the jump, and be sure to catch Tron Legacy in theaters and IMAX 3D on December 17th.

Holy high expectations, Batman! With most studios planning sequels to their major releases on the weekend of the film’s release, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that Disney is already planning the sequel to Tron: Legacy, a whopping 8 months before the film hits theaters.
With Avatar bringing in more money than practically any movie ever made, Disney seems to think that fans will flock to their upcoming film as well. From Heat Vision:
Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, the “Lost” writers/executive producers who worked on “Legacy,” have begun writing a sequel to the studio’s sci-fi tentpole.
No details have been released because it is so early in the process. Notwithstanding the question of whether the movie will be a hit, other topics to ponder are whether the sequel will focus on spinoff characters or center on a new adventure set in the “Tron” world. Insiders have suggested that Kitsis and Horowitz are working on a way to round the story into a trilogy.
