Go Behind The Scenes Of Next Week’s ‘Rocky Horror GLEE Show’

by Matt Raub, Oct 22 2010 // 10:15 AM

Next week, Fox is getting spooky, as they bring us an entire week’s worth of Halloween themed shows. New comedy Raising Hope will get it’s haunt on with a special Halloween episode on Wednesday, but before that, Glee is doing the Time Warp with a very special episode dedicated to the classic rock musical The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

The episode revolves around the cast putting together their own performance of Rocky Horror for the school, and getting plenty of dirty looks and judging faces that most fans of the transvestite-dancing, underwear-donning, homoerotic musical have put up with for years.

It’s impossible for them to fit the entire musical into the 40 minutes or so that they have to tell the story, but we do know that the album consists of Science Fiction Double Feature, Damn it, Janet, Whatever Happened Tto Saturday Night, Sweet Transvestite, Touch a Touch a Touch a Touch Me, There’s a Light, and Time Warp, so we’ll get to see those songs during the episode.

Check out an exclusive look at the show after the jump, and be sure to catch The Rocky Horror Glee Show next Tuesday at 8pm ET/PT on Fox.

Emma Stone To Be Mary Jane In ‘Spider-Man’ Reboot

by Chris Ullrich, Oct 4 2010 // 7:00 AM

There’s been plenty of speculation about who will take on the pivotal role of Mary Jane Watson, love interest of Peter Parker (aka Spider-Man) in the upcoming reboot of the franchise. Now it seems speculation can end because according to reports, the awesome Emma Stone is going to be offered the role.

Stone, coming off of great roles in Easy A and Zombieland, seems a natural for the part and according to the reports is a favorite of Sony, the studio home to the Spider-Man franchise. With the role of Mary Jane seemingly a lock for Stone, attention can then turn to the other pivotal female role in the film: Gwen Stacy.

The top contenders for that role include Glee’s Dianna Agron, Mia Wasikowska, Georgina Haig and Dominique McElligott. Of those, I would probably lean towards Agron who could definitely pull of the role. Still, at the moment, no clear front runner has emerged.

Whatever happens with the part of Gwen Stacy, its great to see Emma Stone is becoming a bigger actress in Hollywood. She’s a talented girl who can go far. I, for one, hopes she does. Of course, when this deal is finalized and the one for Gwen Stacy as well, we’ll let you know.

What do you guys think? Is Emma Stone the right choice for Mary Jane Watson? Who should be Gwen Stacy?

UPDATE: Apparently, things got a bit reversed as Emma Stone has actually made a deal to star as Gwen Stacy instead of Mary Jane Watson. Odd?

First Trailer For ‘I Am Number Four’ Hits The Web

by Matt Raub, Sep 30 2010 // 8:00 AM

A few months ago, we first got word that director D.J. Caruso, who brought us such sci-fi thrillers as Eagle Eye and Distrubia was working on a brand new film based on the Pittacus Lore (aka James Frey & Jobie Hughes) book I Am Number Four. The film’s script comes from Smallville creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, and brings together an interesting cast of up and coming actors.

Now, we’re getting the first taste of the film’s look and feel as the very first teaser trailer has hit the web. It definitely looks like something a bit different for Caruso, giving a bit of an Island meets Twilight vibe. Here’s the official synopsis, for those who want it spelled out.

Nine infant aliens, who closely resemble humans, flee their home planet, Lorien, to hide on Earth. An invading species, the Mogadorians, have destroyed their planet, and follow them to Earth to hunt them down. Each of the nine aliens is given a guardian and will develop superhuman powers as they become adults. They are each assigned a number. These last children of Lorien can only be killed in the sequence of their numbers.

Number Four, also named John Smith, moves to Paradise, Ohio, disguised as an American high school student. He makes a friend, Sarah, a sweet Midwestern girl who is a photographer. After being on the run his whole life, Number Four falls in love and now has something to stand up and fight for.

The film joins Beastly star Alex Pettyfer, Glee’s Dianna Agron, Timothy Olyphant, and Legion’s Kevin Durand. Check out the full trailer after the jump, and catch I Am Number 4 in theaters on February 18th, 2011.

‘Glee’ Renewed for A Second Season

by Cortney Zamm, Jan 11 2010 // 10:00 AM

large_glee-reviewAs if we had any doubt, TV Guide reports that Glee, Fox’s ratings juggernaut about a high school choir, has been picked up for a second season. We’ve loved Glee ever since it was a pilot script,” said Fox President Kevin Reilly. “So it’s been an incredible thrill to watch the show take root and see audiences embrace these characters in such a huge way.”

Even more exciting than the promise of another season of Glee is that there will be a nationwide casting call starting in February to fill three new roles being added in the second season. For all the “Gleeks” out there who would die for a place on the show, now’s your chance!

Glee returns to your televisions on April 13th.
