Well friends, the long wait is finally over as the new TV season kicks off this week with the return of many of our favorite shows. Tonight sees the season premiere of one of our favorites, Chuck, with all new episodes sure to be even more fun and exciting than the last three seasons put together. Or, at least we hope so.
To get things started right we’ve got a whole batch of previews for tonight’s premiere to share with you. Among these videos are Zach Levi’s guided tour of what to expect this season, interviews with guest stars Dolph Lundgren and Linda Hamilton and Chuck learning that’s he’s been un-fired from General Beckman. Plus, Chuck discovers that even though he’s been away, things haven’t really changed in the spy business and then he and Morgan marvel at the all-new and improved Buy More.
Looking at all these previews, it seems this season looks to be pretty exciting indeed. What will happen and how is anyone’s guess at the moment but no matter what it is you can bet we’ll be watching.
Chuck season four kicks off tonight at 8/7C on NBC. Check out all the videos after the break.
Yesterday, we brought you our exclusive chat with Chuck stars Zachary Levi and Joshua Gomez. In the interview Levi discussed how the addition of Linda Hamilton to the cast as Chuck and Ellie’s mother will add to the excitement of the coming season. It seems that this won’t be the only major twist in the season, as we could be looking at a pregnancy, as well.
According to stars Sarah Lancaster and Ryan McPartling, who play Ellie and “Captain Awesome” on the show, we can look forward to a major pregnancy arc the upcoming fourth season of Chuck.
We got the chance to speak with Sarah and Ryan about their baby-having ways, as well as a few cool guest stars we can expect to see in the coming episodes. Maybe even a tidbit on a returning cameo.
Check out the full video interview after the jump, and keep it here for more coverage and exclusive interviews from the cast of NBC’s Chuck.
Yep, the one and the same Linda Hamilton that we all remember from the Terminator franchise is going to grace a geek property once again. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hamilton will be playing the long lost mother of Chuck (Zachary Levi) and Ellie (Sarah Lancaster.) Right now Hamilton’s character, Mary Bartowski, is listed as being on recurring status.
At a press conference at the San Diego Comic-Con, executive producer Josh Schwartz said that Hamilton was actually inspired by fans who wrote in online. Schwartz added that Hamilton’s character will drive a lot of the plot next season, as Chuck and Ellie search for their mom, whose identity has been a mystery throughout the show.
Hamilton will make her first appearance in the season opener, which will also feature a bit role for Olivia Munn. “Old Spice” phenom Isaiah Mustafa will also appear next season.
I can’t wait to see Hamilton in this role. What do you think?
Things have been heating up on the comedy/action spy series Chuck this season. Chuck has taken on more missions as a full-blown spy, he got (and then lost) a new girlfriend, and everything seems to be coming together for our protagonist in his new life. In tonight’s episode, entitled “Chuck Vs. The Beard”, things get a bit more complicated. From NBC:
Chuck (Zachary Levi) feels like his life is falling apart when he can’t flash and gets left behind for a mission. While Shaw (guest star Brandon Routh), Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) and Casey (Adam Baldwin) go on without him, Chuck finds himself in a sticky situation back at the base.
Fans of The Drew Carey Show and Batman: Brave and Bold will get Diedrich Bader in this week’s episode as well. We recently got our hands on three new clips from tonight’s episode, which you can check out after the jump.
Be sure to catch “Chuck Vs. The Beard” tonight on NBC at 8/7 C.
Chuck is one of those rare TV programs that manages to combine humor, action, drama and suspense all in one pretty satisfying package. Sure, the show takes a few missteps here and there, but overall its a solid hour of television that’s sure to please fans, especially of the more “geeky” variety. Even though it was “on the bubble’ as they say in the biz and was at risk of cancellation, we’re happy that it was finally granted a reprieve and is now coming back for a third season this Sunday with a special two hour premiere.
So, now that Chuck‘s coming back, what can we expect from season three? Well, fortunately our friends at NBC have graciously sent us a pretty awesome press kit about the upcoming season and were kind enough to include the first five episodes for us to watch and tell you a little about. Don’t worry, no spoilers.
When last we saw Chuck, he had had quite a day and at the end of it had been fully integrated with the brand new Intersect 2.0, complete with a whole array of new skills including martial arts and, apparently, guitar. It should also come as no surprise that even with these new skills in his head, Chuck still has a few problems getting the Intersect to behave exactly how he wants to utilize these new abilities.
Of course, as you’ve no doubt seen in the previews for season three, he does manage to engage his fighting skills some of the time, which makes for some pretty good action sequences. That guitar skill also comes in handy as well but, as is often the case, end up leading Chuck into even more danger.
Now that all the dust has settled, and San Diego Comic-Con is slowly becoming a fading memory, we wanted to bring our readers a look at some of the things we saw, people we talked to, and stuff we did during what we like to call NerdiGras.
We put together this little video to show you what we all went through last week, so check it out, and be sure to stay tuned for all of the interviews, specials, and news we have to offer you from The Flickcast team!
Of the folks we got to chat with at Comic-Con in San Diego this year, none of them have as big of a fan following as these stars. Yvonne Strahovski and Sarah Lancaster are the two bombshells from NBC’s Chuck, playing the titular character’s secret agent girlfriend Sarah Walker and sister Ellie, respectively.
They were onhand at the show, and had plenty to talk about, from their experience at previous shows, to the future of both Sarah and Ellie as characters in the upcoming third season. To see our interview with star Zachary Levi (Chuck Bartowski) and Josh Gomez (Morgan), click here.
