Today is a day in the US when we honor those leaders who made a difference in our country’s history. So, for today we will all be out doing pretty much anything else besides work.
Even though we don’t like it, we sometimes have to let the team out of their rooms and out into the world. Don’t worry, it’s only for a few hours. We’ll be back tomorrow.
For those of you not in the US please, enjoy your Monday. For those who are, enjoy this day of rest.

In the United States, this is the time of year when Hollywood virtually shuts down and people leave town to visit family and friends. Plus, the staff here at The Flickcast actually has family and friends as well and many of them are doing the same.
So, for the next week or so we will have a reduced posting schedule. Of course, if anything big happens, we’ll bring it to you. Also, be sure to look for our “Best of 2011″ articles covering movies, TV, comics, games and all things geek before the end of the year as well.
In the meantime, from all of us here at The Flickcast, we wish all of you the very best for this holiday season and happiness, health and luck for 2012.

If you happen to live in the United States, as most of the team here at The Flickcast do, then you know this week is Thanksgiving. That means, of course, that come Thursday we will be eating more food and consuming more booze than most people do in a month.
Yes, that’s just how we roll here in the States. In addition to the intense gluttony taking place, we will also be traveling and spending some quality time with friends and family. That is, at least until someone gets drunk and a fight breaks out.
Consequently, this will be a slow week, posting wise, here at the site. Yes, we will be putting up even less content than usual. Hey, we’re trying here, okay? At least the site is free.
This will continue during the entire week and through the weekend. On Monday things will get back to normal. Or, whatever what we do here is called.
Until then, we wish you all the best for the holiday. We also want you to know we are very thankful you decide to spend some time with us here at The Flickcast every day.
We sincerely appreciate it. Happy Thanksgiving to our friends in the States.

Today is a holiday here in the United States which honors those who, well, labor. So, to commemorate this great feat, we will be giving the fine folks who write this site the day off. Expect to see a few articles today, but not as many as we usually bring you.
Of course, if something major happens, we will bring it to you. Otherwise, expect our usual brand of humor, articles, interviews, reviews and more to return refreshed and ready to roll tomorrow.
We wish you a happy holiday and we’ll see you on the other side.

It’s a holiday here in the United States and a day we remember all the men and women of our armed forces who’ve paid the ultimate price for our freedom. Because of this and because we like to let the writers have some time off occasionally, we’ll have a reduced posting schedule today and will resume our normal schedule tomorrow.
To our readers in the U.S., have a great holiday. For the rest of you from other countries, thanks for reading and we’ll see you tomorrow when everything is back to normal around here. Well, as normal as it gets anyway.

In the United States, this is the time of year when Hollywood virtually shuts down and people leave town to visit family and friends. Plus, the staff here at The Flickcast actually has family and friends as well and many of them are doing the same.
So, for the next two weeks we will have a reduced posting schedule. Of course, if anything big happens, we’ll bring it to you. Also, be sure to check out a brand new episode of the Podcast tomorrow and look for our “Best of 2010″ articles covering movies, TV, comics, games and all things geek before the end of the year as well.

Seeing as this is a holiday weekend that honors people who labor, we won’t be having a regular schedule here at The Flickcast. Instead, we will be taking some much needed time off and will return to our normal schedule next Tuesday.
Of course, if something major happens over the weekend, we will bring it to you. Otherwise, expect our usual brand of humor, articles, interviews, reviews and more to return refreshed and ready to roll next week.
We wish you a happy holiday weekend and we’ll see you on the other side.

Due to much of The Flickcast team (including Chris) being in Austin for SXSW and the power outages on the East Coast, sadly we won’t be able to bring you a new episode of The Flickcast this week. However, don’t despair as we’ll be back next week with an all-new episode featuring great info from SXSW, the Syfy upfronts, Emerald City Comic Con, Captain America and a whole lot more. It should be a rocking episode.
In the meantime, check out some of our favorite episodes from the past to help you handle the waiting until next week. And don’t worry, seven days really isn’t that long.
The Flickcast – Episode 39: First Flight
The Flickcast – Best of 2009 Special
The Flickcast – Episode 36: Avatar Schmavatar
The Flickcast – Episode 32: Eclipse
The Flickcast – Episode 31: Attack of the Clones

Because today is a holiday in the United States and I like to let the writers out of their cages once in awhile to get some air and sunlight, we will have a lighter posting day today. That doesn’t mean we won’t be putting up anything for you to read and enjoy. Quite the contrary.
We’ve got some great stuff today including a bunch of info from Microsoft’s recent X10 event like new screenshots from Halo: Reach and a trailer for Dead Rising 2, previews of NBC’s new comedy/drama Parenthood and, in honor of today, the debut of a brand new feature here at the site: War Movie Mondays.
So, be sure to check back throughout the day for all these great articles, and more, right here at The Flickcast. We’ll resume our usual posting schedule tomorrow. That is, if I can get all the writer back into their cages in time.
