Happy Holidays from The Flickcast

by The Flickcast, Dec 25 2012 // 11:00 AM

500x_scan10187

Since much of Hollywood and the entertainment industry slows down and takes a break in the week between Christmas and New Years, The Flickcast will be taking our annual break with reduced posts during the upcoming week. We will still post anything huge as well as some last minute end of 2012 housekeeping. See us back in 2013 for more news, reviews, new contributors and video content as well!

Happy Holidays from the entire The Flickcast family!

Cha Cha Changes

by The Flickcast, Oct 1 2012 // 12:00 PM

Hello friends. In order to serve you better, we are currently in the midst of migrating our network of sites to new, improved servers. While we do that you probably won’t see anything new here.

Once the migration is done, we’ll be back to our regular schedule of posts, articles, reviews and more. We appreciate your patience during this time of transition and we hope to see you back here real soon.

Until then, here’s some pics of girls dressed in Star Wars stuff. Pandering? Us? No way.

Happy 4th of July 2012

by The Flickcast, Jul 4 2012 // 9:15 AM

Today is the birthday of the United States (aka the 4th of July). Consequently, we won’t be around much today as the staff occasionally needs time off to go to a BBQ and watch some fireworks. Today seems like a perfect day to do both.

We’ll be back tomorrow. Until then, if you live in the U.S., have a safe and sane 4th of July. For the rest of you, happy Wednesday!

Happy President’s Day 2012

by The Flickcast, Feb 20 2012 // 11:05 AM

Today is a day in the US when we honor those leaders who made a difference in our country’s history. So, for today we will all be out doing pretty much anything else besides work.

Even though we don’t like it, we sometimes have to let the team out of their rooms and out into the world. Don’t worry, it’s only for a few hours. We’ll be back tomorrow.

For those of you not in the US please, enjoy your Monday. For those who are, enjoy this day of rest.

Happy Holidays 2011

by Chris Ullrich, Dec 23 2011 // 10:01 AM

In the United States, this is the time of year when Hollywood virtually shuts down and people leave town to visit family and friends. Plus, the staff here at The Flickcast actually has family and friends as well and many of them are doing the same.

So, for the next week or so we will have a reduced posting schedule. Of course, if anything big happens, we’ll bring it to you. Also, be sure to look for our “Best of 2011″ articles covering movies, TV, comics, games and all things geek before the end of the year as well.

In the meantime, from all of us here at The Flickcast, we wish all of you the very best for this holiday season and happiness, health and luck for 2012.

Happy Thanksgiving 2011

by The Flickcast, Nov 22 2011 // 7:30 AM

If you happen to live in the United States, as most of the team here at The Flickcast do, then you know this week is Thanksgiving. That means, of course, that come Thursday we will be eating more food and consuming more booze than most people do in a month.
Yes, that’s just how we roll here in the States. In addition to the intense gluttony taking place, we will also be traveling and spending some quality time with friends and family. That is, at least until someone gets drunk and a fight breaks out.

Consequently, this will be a slow week, posting wise, here at the site. Yes, we will be putting up even less content than usual. Hey, we’re trying here, okay? At least the site is free.

This will continue during the entire week and through the weekend. On Monday things will get back to normal. Or, whatever what we do here is called.

Until then, we wish you all the best for the holiday. We also want you to know we are very thankful you decide to spend some time with us here at The Flickcast every day.

We sincerely appreciate it. Happy Thanksgiving to our friends in the States.

Happy Labor Day 2011

by The Flickcast, Sep 5 2011 // 12:00 PM

Today is a holiday here in the United States which honors those who, well, labor. So, to commemorate this great feat, we will be giving the fine folks who write this site the day off. Expect to see a few articles today, but not as many as we usually bring you.

Of course, if something major happens, we will bring it to you. Otherwise, expect our usual brand of humor, articles, interviews, reviews and more to return refreshed and ready to roll tomorrow.

We wish you a happy holiday and we’ll see you on the other side.

Happy Memorial Day 2011

by The Flickcast, May 30 2011 // 9:11 AM

It’s a holiday here in the United States and a day we remember all the men and women of our armed forces who’ve paid the ultimate price for our freedom. Because of this and because we like to let the writers have some time off occasionally, we’ll have a reduced posting schedule today and will resume our normal schedule tomorrow.

To our readers in the U.S., have a great holiday. For the rest of you from other countries, thanks for reading and we’ll see you tomorrow when everything is back to normal around here. Well, as normal as it gets anyway.

Happy Labor Day

by The Flickcast, Sep 3 2010 // 2:00 PM

Seeing as this is a holiday weekend that honors people who labor, we won’t be having a regular schedule here at The Flickcast. Instead, we will be taking some much needed time off and will return to our normal schedule next Tuesday.

Of course, if something major happens over the weekend, we will bring it to you. Otherwise, expect our usual brand of humor, articles, interviews, reviews and more to return refreshed and ready to roll next week.

We wish you a happy holiday weekend and we’ll see you on the other side.

The Flickcast – Episode Nada: As Time Goes By

by Joe Gillis, Mar 17 2010 // 12:00 PM

Due to much of The Flickcast team (including Chris) being in Austin for SXSW and the power outages on the East Coast, sadly we won’t be able to bring you a new episode of The Flickcast this week. However, don’t despair as we’ll be back next week with an all-new episode featuring great info from SXSW, the Syfy upfronts, Emerald City Comic Con, Captain America and a whole lot more. It should be a rocking episode.

In the meantime, check out some of our favorite episodes from the past to help you handle the waiting until next week. And don’t worry, seven days really isn’t that long.

The Flickcast – Episode 39: First Flight

The Flickcast – Best of 2009 Special

The Flickcast – Episode 36: Avatar Schmavatar

The Flickcast – Episode 32: Eclipse

The Flickcast – Episode 31: Attack of the Clones
