When you think of current chart-topping pop singer Bruno Mars, Leonard Nimoy is definitely not the first name that comes to mind. Nor is it the second, third, or fifth, for that matter. That hasn’t stopped him from starring in the unused music video for Mars’ newest hit “The Lazy Song” (currently at #6 in Billboard’s Hot 100).
The song is a nice send up to the “classic” stoner anthems of the mid to late 90′s, with a fun summer twist to it. In this music video, we get a taste of what it’s like to live like Spock for a day, and how hilarious and lazy Nimoy can be, or at least how he wants it depicted.
Some great moments in the video, including a few digs and the ubiquitous William Shatner, and Nimoy’s general disposition to the people around him in the video are pretty hilarious.
Check out the unused, yet official video for the Bruno Mars song after the jump, and be sure to leave Spock alone if you ever see him in public. Oh, and don’t call him Spock.

Now, before Zachary Quinto supporters get all bent out of shape, allow me to first explain. The following is a fan-edit of the audiobook for Alan Dean Foster’s novelization of this year’s Star Trek. The audiobook was narrated by the film’s co-star Zachary Quinto, who played Spock.
From there, an overzealous fan decided that the narration would make a much better romance novel than a story about intergalactic heroism. With that, “Spork! An Erotic Love Story” was born. Dean Foster is quite descriptive in his narrative, and sadly this is only used against him in this slashfic (fan fiction which ends in romance).
Check out the video after the jump, but be warned, if you’re sure dialogue and descriptions from a novelization of Star Trek can’t be considered NSFW, you might be proven wrong. Also, be aware, it can get pretty intense towards the end, but overall it’s quite hilarious. Enjoy.

J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek looks to be getting the royal treatment for it’s upcoming DVD release. They’re rolling out some pretty intense features for both the DVD and Blu-Ray copies of the film, and now they’re helping market the release with a never-before-seen bonus clip from the film.
In the clip, Nero (Eric Bana) is getting interrogated by-wait for it…Klingons! That’s right, Abrams actually shot footage of Klingons for the film, and then never used it, leaving it for us ultra-nerds to watch on DVD. /Film explains the clip:
JJ Abrams shot a sequence for Star Trek reboot featuring a few members of the infamous alien race, the Klingons. The scene featured Nero [Eric Bana] chained to a table being interrogated by the masked, ruffle-headed creatures with Centurion slugs who are looking to find out information on the future. The sequence basically explained what Nero was up to in the missing years. This is one of the deleted scenes in the prison break sequence that has found its way online to promote the upcoming DVD release.
Check out the full clip after the jump, and be sure to set your wallets to “stun” on November 17th for the DVD and Blu-Ray releases to sweep the nation.
