When the Wii was first announced and its motion control capabilities were described, two things instantly came to the minds of hardcore gamers: guns and swords. A game where you could either swing a Wiimote like a broadsword or aim down the sights of a machine gun, the fit seemed so obvious for what was being told to them. To add to this hype, Ubisoft announced Red Steel which actually combined BOTH aspects in to one game.
When the Wii finally came out, gamers found out Nintendo’s claims, and the Wiimotes, weren’t entirely accurate. Instead of the one to one movement that was expected, waggle controls led the first wave of Wii titles and left hardcore gamers wanting more from titles like Red Steel while the casual gamers like soccer moms and senior citizens developed a love for Wii Sports.
Now, with the Wii Motion Plus which lets the Wii get closer to fulfilling its original promises, developer Ubisoft is taking a second stab at Red Steel. Coming March 25th, Red Steel 2 looks to correct the control problems the first game suffered due to the limitations of the Wii and bring its mature styled gameplay to the ever hungry hardcore audience that has been waiting patiently for the system’s next big hit.

“The soldier of the future is an F-16 on legs.” Slated for fall of this year, gamers will get to take a look at just what the militaristic fantasy genius Tom Clancy sees in the next generation of soldier. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier continues to press the limits of what we come to think of as war.
While the trailer below leaves a lot to the imagination and acts as only a teaser of what is to come, the eerie pretense of the soldiers is enough to bring our attention right to this game. After the success of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, affectionately referred to as GRAW, and its sequel, we know the reputation that Clancy games must live up to.
To further wet our appetites, it looks like there will be a multiplayer beta coming too this summer for anyone purchasing Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction. Until then, take a peek at this great teaser trailer for the XBox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

Bioshock was one of the unexpected gems of late 2008. With its immerse story and compelling narrative style, this first person shooter left people wanting more. Even with a lackluster final battle, Bioshock took the video game world by storm and had people clamoring for more of Rapture, the underwater world created by Andrew Ryan in hopes of a Utopian society.
Since its announcement, Bioshock 2 has been one of the driving forces of the video game world, especially with the announcement of a multiplayer mode being added. Coming February 9th to the XBox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, 2K games let the world see the game’s final release trailer on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
They took the same approach of gameplay-styled footage in the first person perspective but this time put the viewer in to the head of the Big Daddy character they will be playing as. This trailer also gives people their first glimpse at the power of a Big Sister in the heat of battle.
Take a look for yourself at the trailer after the jump and stay tuned to The Flickcast for more info on Bioshock 2 as it becomes available.

Already being picked up by Brad Pitt’s production company, Capcom’s Dark Void has started making some serious waves in both the video game and movie industries. If you hadn’t heard of Dark Void, strap a jetpack on and pull yourself out from under the rock you have been hiding under.
Given a spotlight back at San Diego Comic-Con, Dark Void is a futuristic mashup of a sci-fi third person shooter combined with The Rocketeer. Add in the new “vertical combat” mode where players progress upwards as fire rains down from above from dozens of enemies and you have yourself an outstanding looking game with incredible graphics that only a company like Capcom can provide.
The story takes place in a mysterious place known as the Void where our hero Will must battle a group of mechanical aliens known as the Watchers who are hell bent on destroying humanity. With only the basic weapons and jetpack at his disposal at the game’s start, Will must overcome insane odds in this uniquely styled adventure.
Click thorugh for the game’s final cinematic trailer and stay tuned to the Flickcast for more coverage on Dark Void as it becomes available. Dark Void releases for the XBox 360, Playstation 3 and PC on January 19th, 2010.

A few months ago, there was a little gathering of pop culture fans that some call San Diego Comic-Con. There, movie studios bring projects that are upcoming to show off, and almost every time, one of the fans shoots the footage on their phone and later posts it on the internet. This has happened to some of the bigger projects of the past few years, from Spider-Man to Iron Man, and it even happened to Matthew Vaughn’s Kick-Ass.
For a while, that bootleg footage was all we had to go by, until now. Lionsgate Studios has been on the marketing warpath this week, with the release of the first Kick-Ass posters hitting the web a few days ago. We now have our hands on the first theatrical teaser for the film, which is even more to salivate over.
The film, which is based on the ongoing Marvel series written by Mark Millar with art by John Romita Jr., stars such names as Nicolas Cage, Christopher Mintz-Plasse (McLovin), and relative unknown Aaron Johnson taking on the titular role of Kick-Ass.
Check out the first new teaser after the jump, which looks to already have some great panel adaptation, even in a two-minute teaser. Kick-Ass will hit theaters on April 16th, 2010.

If you were debating whether or not you wanted to see Benicio Del Toro in Wolfman because it was too folky and epic, how would you like it if the film was set to a generic rock tune?
Well, Universal Pictures answered your prayers with the newest trailer for Wolfman. It’s got more Benicio, more Wolf, and a Marilyn Manson soundtrack.
The film itself has had quite a tumultuous post-production. Originally, the film was set to have Mark Romanek (One Hour Photo) as director, who later stepped down. Then, the studio met with names like Brett Ratner, Frank Darabont, James Mangold, and Martin Campbell, until finally deciding on Joe Johnston (The Rocketeer).
Once finished, the film bounced around with three separate release dates, two being in 2009, and then finally sticking to a release of February, 2010. It’s on record that January and February is where movies go to die.
Either way, check out the cool new trailer after the jump, and catch Benicio and the gang in theaters on February 12, 2010.

Grand Theft Auto is without a doubt one of the most infamous names in video games today. Ever since the debut of Grand Theft Auto III where players could pick up a prostitute and then get a “refund” by killing her, it has been at the top of the media by pushing the envelope further and further. With Grand Theft Auto IV as one of the most popular games of 2008, Microsoft saw the opportunity to further their lead in the console war with Sony by commissioning two exclusive episodes of downloadable content for the game for a hefty price tag.
The first, “The Lost and the Damned” reintroduced players to a minor character from Nico’s Grand Theft Auto IV campaign as he fought his way to the top of the food chain to become leader of The Lost biker gang. With the changes in gameplay and the engrossing story, many people felt “The Lost and the Damned” was better than the core GTA IV experience. Now, Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive hopes to catch lightning in the bottle a second time with “The Ballad of Gay Tony”, the second and final exclusive episode for the XBox 360.
“The Ballad of Gay Tony” revolves around, shocker, a character named Gay Tony who is the owner of the most popular straight club and gay club in Liberty City and what he has to do to keep that from being taken away from him. As far as pushing the envelope further, it’s pretty safe to say that anything could be on the table for this episode as “The Lost and the Damned” featured a full frontal shot in it (and no, it wasn’t female.) With virtually no limits to what they can’t do and an epic landscape like Liberty City, take a look at the first trailer of Grand Theft Auto “The Ballad of Gay Tony” after the jump.

Here it is folks, the brand new trailer for the upcoming sequel to Twilight, known to all fans as The Twilight Saga: New Moon. In this one we get a lot more insight into Taylor Lautner’s character and the trailer actually plays more like a mini-featurette rather than an actual trailer. Its all Lautner all the time and that makes sense.
If you recall Lautner’s character Jacob Black was a relatively minor presence in the first film. Now that he’s in the spotlight and part of the new New Moon love triangle, the sudience needs to know more about where he’s coming from. We already know Robert Pattinson’s Edward and Kristen Stewart’s Bella very well at this point so its logical to want to feature more about the new hunk on the block or, um, in the forest.
Check out the new trailer after the jump. The Twilight Saga: New Moon, hits theaters on November 20th.
And you thought nothing cool ever happens on Mondays.

While Robert Downy Jr. is off wearing his iron suit, there is another aspect of the multifaceted actor that we get to see on the silver screen this year, in Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes, out this Christmas. The first trailer hit a few months back, and looked pretty awesome. The newest one has the same clips from the film, but with a bit of a twist.
With the first trailer, the big reveal was that Downy Jr. was playing Sherlock Holmes, but in the beginning of the International trailer, the reveal is that Sherlock Holmes is being played by Robert Downy Jr. Check out exactly what that means after the break, and expect to see Sherlock and Watson–played by Jude Law–in the theaters this Christmas.
