It’s time for another new episode of The Flickcast. The pop culture podcast about stuff nerds love. This week it’s Episode 431: Godzilla vs. The Flickcast.
Yes, we know, Godzilla vs. The Flickcast is a pretty cool name for an episode. We get that. Thanks.
On this episode Chris and Joe dive into a slew of new and recurring topics such as the amazing Godzilla vs. King Kong, Episode 3 of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, their personal theories on who the “Power Broker” is and how the show will end and a wee bit more on Justice League and other Marvel movies coming soon.
They also talk about a bunch of other stuff, but it’s mostly apes punching lizards this week.
Of course, since Chris is back again, this episode runs a bit long. Again, what can we do? It is his show. Also . . .
If you get a moment and feel like it/can do it, consider rating or reviewing the show on Apple Podcasts. Every rating and review helps. And if you’re really feeling it, consider supporting the show on Patreon.
Thanks for listening!

Have no fear fans of HBO’s vampire drama True Blood, the network won’t make you wait for a new season of the show without giving you something to occupy your time. In fact, HBO and our friends at IDW are going to be releasing a True Blood graphic novel to do just that.
The graphic novel, called True Blood, Vol.1: All Together Now, is a hard cover compilation of all six issues from the first comic book series. The graphic novel will feature a new cover and bonus content including sketches and a cover gallery.
In case you’re not familiar with the current comic, it debuted in July and was an instant hit, selling out the first two issues and going into multiple printings. With four issues released (and two more to go)…it has become the best selling title for IDW Publishing in their history. Nice.
The book will be released on February 8, 2011 and retail for $24.99. Be sure to check it out as its a great way to experience the comic without having to try and follow individual issues.

Liam Neeson has joined the cast of Battleship today. Neeson was added to the cast of the Universal Pictures science fiction action adventure just as filming began today.
Battleship is based on the popular board game by the same name. The writers are obviously taking some liberties with the game in order to create the film. In the movie, a naval fleet at sea must protect the earth from alien invaders.
Neeson will be playing Admiral Shane, a Naval officer whose daughter is engaged to the film’s main protagonist, Alex Hopper, who is played by Taylor Kitsch (X-men Origins:Wolverine).
Neeson’s daughter will be played by relative unknown Brooklyn Decker, who had guest appearances on television shows including Chuck and Ugly Betty. Alexander Skarsgaard (True Blood) plays Kitsch’s older brother, and R&B songstress Rihanna is making her acting debut as she plays Kitsch’s crew mate and a weapons specialist. Tom Arnold will also be part of the cast, but no news on what his role will entail.
Set for release on May 18th of 2012, Battleship comes from producers Scott Stuber, Peter Berg, Duncan Henderson and Sarah Aubrey, as well as Hasbro’s Brian Goldner and Bennett Schneir. The flick will shoot on location in Hawaii and Baton Rouge.
