Laurel brings Sara’s body to Oliver’s hideout. The others walk in to see Sara dead. Oliver is the only one who seems to be holding back his emotions.
Oliver promises Laurel that he’ll find Sara’s killer, and Laurel offers/demands to help. Oliver won’t let her, telling her to take care of her family. Laurel decides to hold off on telling Quentin, as she fears the news may kill him.
Oliver goes to the spot where Sara was killed to try and find some clues. Diggle shows up to let him know he has his back. Felicity calls them to let them know Quentin has called for the Arrow. When Oliver shows up, Quentin informs him of a fake archer that is murdering people in town. Quentin has no idea that his own daughter is one of the victims.
Felicity confronts Ray, who keeps trying to woo her to work for him. He even bought the company that owns the tech store she works at. With his statement that she’ll either work for him at Queen Consolidated or at the tech store, Felicity quits.
Based on some details Oliver strong-armed out of a drug dealer, the team is able to determine that the fake Arrow is a man named Simon Lacroix, AKA Kimodo. They hack Lacroix’s phone and are able to determine his location. Oliver heads there and chases Lacroix away on his motorcycle.

Finally, Arrow is back! After a second season that dragged a bit in the middle, but did a great job of picking up the pace at the end, season three begins at least 9 months after the events that concluded season two ended.
Detective Lance is now Captain, and has been pulled from active duty due to his heart condition. He has also publicly thanked The Arrow, and has decommissioned the anti-vigilante task force. Diggle and Lyla are having a baby, and she is due at any time. Roy has fully embraced his role in the team, and has managed to keep himself under control. Felicity and Oliver’s “relationship” has at least grown to not so obvious flirting, and Oliver and Laurel are working together (“You catch ‘em, I cook ‘em” as she said).
Things are going so well, that Oliver has a lot more free time, and Felicity is helping him prepare a speech for the Board of Queen Consolidated to try and buy the company back. Felicity has picked up a job at a tech shop. Diggle even convinces Oliver to finally take Felicity out on a date.

With comic properties being snatched up by movie studios like lucrative hotcakes, a Luna Brothers film project is clearly inevitable. With their cinematic style, self-contained stories, and strong emotional centers, Joshua and Jonathan Luna’s titles are a perfect fit for the silver screen.
Probably the best thus far, a very original and dark superhero tale called simply The Sword could make an amazing, violent, and beautiful modern fantasy film. Of course, the cast would have to be as moving as the source material. Here are my humble suggestions for a movie adaptation of The Luna Brothers’ The Sword.

While DC is currently scratching their collective heads to figure out how to beat out Marvel Studios and their plan for world domination, they’ve had a few busts of recent history. Films like Green Lantern and Jonah Hex were pretty big flops, but nowhere near as much as the critically panned reboot/sequel hybrid Superman Returns from X-Men director Bryan Singer.
The film was panned by most fans, made some money, and did absolutely nothing for the franchise (unless you consider calling for yet another reboot a few years later “progress”). After a few years, it turns out there are still a few secrets that have yet to be uncovered about the film.
As it turns out, there was a $10 million opening sequence for the film that was shot and rendered in which Routh’s Kal-El returns to a dead Krypton to see if there is any semblance of life from his once lively home planet. Short answer: there isn’t.
No dialogue, lots of slow shots of deep space, and Routh looking all sweaty. Overall, it’s probably a good thing this scene wasn’t in the film, but the fact that Singer and his team once thought this was a good idea should remind us that this film was probably no good from the get-go.
Take a look at the 5-minute long opening after the jump, and let’s hope this trend doesn’t continue with Zack Snyder’s upcoming Man of Steel reboot.

Look, up in the sky! It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no it’s…a definitive blu-ray collection of Superman movies?
2011 is a year filled to the brim with superhero cinema and the folks over at Warner Home Video think that now is the perfect time to roll out the most comprehensive high-definition collection of Superman films of all time. Combining all four movies with Christopher Reeve and 2006’s reboot-ish Superman Returns, this set promises to be the ultimate collection of Superman’s first cinematic era.
Boasting both Donner extended cuts of the first two films and over 20 hours of special features, this release is as stacked as could possibly be. There is a lot of similarity in this Blu-Ray’s feature list and the Ultimate Collector’s DVD set that came out in 2006, however, several of the key features have been converted to HD, including the Donner cuts and the wonderful Look, Up in the Sky! documentary.
A full list of features and the Blu-Ray anthology’s trailer can be found after the jump.

Stop us if you’ve heard this before. Monsters, werewolves, vampires, and demons–they’re all real. They just prey in the shadows and hope that nobody finds out they exist. It’s up to Dylan Dog (played by former Superman Brandon Routh) to keep them in line and preserve the balance between good and evil.
Sure, it’s a little bit Constantine and a little bit Hellboy, but how often is it that you get a former Superman and a former Jimmy Olsen together again in pretty much the same roles? Not often enough, is the correct answer. Here’s the full synopsis for those still clinging to hope.
DYLAN DOG: DEAD OF NIGHT is a new horror/comedy film based on one of the world’s most popular comics (60 million copies worldwide). Brandon Routh stars as Dylan Dog, world famous private investigator specializing in affairs of the undead. His PI business card reads “No Pulse? No Problem.” Armed with an edgy wit and carrying an arsenal of silver and wood-tipped bullets, Dylan must track down a dangerous artifact before a war ensues between his werewolf, vampire and zombie clients living undercover in the monster infested backstreets of New Orleans.
The film was in development hell (pun intended) for quite some time, but it looks like it’s finally making its way into theaters on April 29th. Check out the full trailer after the jump.

It’s difficult to do justice to Scott Pilgrim vs. The World in a review because the movie defies any sort of label. Bouncing merrily from genre to genre, the film is part romance, part comic book caper, part martial-arts action flick, part video game, and part musical. All those parts add up to a sweet, funny, and satisfying experience.
The last time I had a grin plastered to my face for the entire running time of a movie was when I saw 500 Days of Summer. The two films don’t share any subject matter, but in a lot of ways I found them similar. Both are wildly original, quirky, and an utter blast to sit through. 500 Days was released almost exactly a year ago, and quickly became one of my favorite movies of the year.
It looks like Scott Pilgrim will follow the same trajectory. It was all I could do not to skip out of the theater.
Michael Cera plays Scott Pilgrim, a twenty-something slacker who plays guitar in a Toronto band called Sex-Bob-Omb and hangs out with his friends a lot. With a lanky frame, a high pitched voice, and a mop of hair that refuses to obey his wishes, Pilgrim is hardly a lady killer. But, you know, he’s in a band, so he’s got that going for him.
He opts for a chaste relationship with an adoring high-school cutie instead of pursuing anything real or messy. One night he spies a girl across the club from him sporting violet locks and a goth/punk vibe. POW! It’s game over for Pilgrim, who is hopelessly enamored of the captivating girl.

This weekend may be a tough decision for many moviegoers, as Eat Pray Love and The Expendables open against fan favorite Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. We know which we’ll be seeing (probably all three), but in the meantime, we’ve got some awesome clips from Pilgrim which should get you ready for the movie.
In the film Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera) must defend his love for new girl Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) by defeating her seven evil exes. Those exes include names like Chris Evans, Brandon Routh, Jason Schwartzman, and more.
In the clips we’ve got for you, you can see Cera actually show some emotion other than empathy, which is a pretty big leap if you’ve seen his other films. Fun fact for all of you Arrested Development fans: Mae Whitman, who plays evil ex Roxy in the film has worked with Cera before, as Ann (“Egg”) on Development. We can assure you that they won’t be making out in this one.
The film is based on the comic series by Bryan Lee O’Malley and comes from director Edgar Wright, the mind behind other fan faves such as Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. Check out all four clips from the movie after the jump. See Scott Pilgrim take on the seven evil exes this Friday (That’s tomorrow).

While Marvel Studios may have dominated this year’s Comic-Con with it’s panels for Avengers, Thor, and Captain America, DC Entertainment managed to keep eyes of fanboys locked in as they announced Tom Welling will finally don the Superman suit in the upcoming final season of Smallville.
It’s been debated for quite some time whether or not it would ever happen, but it finally got confirmed that Welling will both fly and wear the suit made famous in Bryan Singer’s Superman Returns. What could this mean for a spinoff film? Does Welling have any interest in continuing as the Man of Steel after this season?
We got the chance to ask Tom all of these questions, and a few more, as he attended this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. Check out our exclusive interview with the Smallville star after the jump, and keep it here for more interviews with the cast of the show.

It shouldn’t come as a surpise that pretty much everyone here at The Flickcast (and most of the civilized geek world) is anxiously waiting for more news on the third Batman film. With The Dark Knight pretty much being the ultimate treatment of the character and his world, any info about the third installment of the franchise, so artfully executed by Christpher Nolan and his team, is a very exciting development indeed.
Well, hold onto your seats because news of the third Batman film is just what we’ve got right now. But wait, there’s more. We’ve also got some news on the Superman reboot too. How’s that for awesome?
Speaking to Empire Magazine during an interview for his upcoming film Inception (which also loooks awesome, btw) Nolan gave some much needed updates on the Batman 3 production as well as some new info about his level of involvement with Superman.
According to Nolan, he still hasn’t officially signed on to direct new Batman movie. “No I haven’t. There is a point where you’re just being precious about it and people get annoyed, but the God’s honest truth is I work on one movie at a time. I’m only capable of doing that, so my head will continue to be firmly in [‘Inception’] for another few months.”
There are some things, though, that Nolan can confirm. “My brother is working on the screenplay. We came up with a story that we are very excited about. We particularly like where we are taking the characters and what the ending is… There are things for me to be very excited about in addressing the characters again. But ultimately it always comes down to the script, and can we make a great film from this?
That’s something I will firmly be turning my attention to figuring out fairly soon.” It will be, he said, “the finishing of a story rather than infinitely blowing up the balloon and expanding the story.”
Empire also asked whether the villain could be a returning (and recast) Joker. “No,” said Nolan resisting to elaborate, “I just don’t feel comfortable about it.”
