In the hours before Hurricane Sandy arrived, Jimmy Fallon took to the deserted streets of Manhattan to open his show, which tapes live in New York City. After doing the open, he headed back into the theater to do his show without an audience. It was pretty weird to watch.
Our thoughts are with those affected by this terrible tragedy.
In case you were busy last night and were not able to catch the great dramas on NBC, including Chuck, Trauma, Law & Order and more, we’ve got highlights from the shows for you today. Starting with one of our favorites, Chuck, the clips highlights a fight between our hero and some tough guys which results in a precarious predicament for Chuck.
On Trauma, Nancy realizes she’s got to do whatever it takes if she really wants to be a doctor. For Law & Order, Lupo and Bernard go head-to-head with McCoy after clashing over how to handle a case. Plus, we’ve got a preview of next week’s show featuring guest star Tony Hale in a dramatic role as a father involved in a bitter international custody battle.
Finally, on Jimmy Fallon, Human Target‘s Mark Valley drops by to talk about his love of Civil War reenactments and also he shows Jimmy how throw a fake punch. Being a pretty good action guy on the show, he should know.
We get a lot of video sent to us so we don’t always share them here at the site, mostly because in a majority of cases guests on Jimmy Fallon’s show don’t really “wow” us. But when one of our favorite stars from one of the best shows currently on TV does something awesome, we just feel compelled to bring it to you.
Case in point is last night’s appearance by the beautiful and talented January Jones (Mad Men). On the show she talked about the usual stuff as most talk show guests do. She also joined Jimmy in a little game of what we like to call beer pong and we’ve got video of that to share.
Any woman who’s as good looking as Ms. Jones, can play beer pong and comments when her beer isn’t full enough definitely deserves our respect, admiration and affection. Plus, did I mention she’s really great looking?
Check out the video after the jump. Late Night with Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights at 12:30PM on NBC. Mad Men returns to AMC for a fourth season next year. That just can’t come soon enough.
This past Thursday night actor Ryan Reynolds dropped by Late Night With Jimmy Fallon to discuss, among other things, his involvement in the upcoming Green Lantern and Deadpool projects. According to MTV’s Splash Page, Reynolds dropped a tantalizing nugget of information when he told Fallon “I’m 4-5 months away from beginning shooting,” Green Lantern.
But why does it seem like the soon-to-be 33 year-old is constantly looking over his shoulder? “It’s crazy, it’s the only job I’ve ever had that I’m not allowed to really talk about. I think there’s like a representative from Warner Brothers who I’m sure is following me around ready to blow-dart me if I say a single word.”
All threats aside, while Reynolds didn’t have anything new to offer on Deadpool, the X-Men Origins: Wolverine spin-off, he did confirm that he’d be reprising his role as the “Merc With a Mouth,” Wade Wilson. Does he feel any pressure knowing that countless comics fans are watching his every move? “At this point [playing both roles] makes you just like an Internet hero, nothing really more than that.”
