Who do you turn to when there is no hope left? Chris Redfield, Leon Kennedy and Jake Muller obviously. Or at least that’s what the latest trailer from Capcom out of last week’s Tokyo Game Show for Resident Evil 6 leads us to believe. If you don’t believe us, take a look at the full trailer after the jump.
But what makes this trailer special? Well for long time Resident Evil fans, the TGS Resident Evil 6 trailer has hordes of story hints, some largely important and others subtle. It also contains a brief cut scene of all three main characters crossing paths as well.
For those new to the Resident Evil series, there are glimpses are some of the newest machinations of the twisted staff at Capcom in action during the course of Resident Evil 6. The virus that transforms people into inside out scorpion monsters or the ball that explodes into a spray of needs that make people’s skin melt off are two personal favorites.

This past week, gaming was abound with announcements at the Tokyo Game Show. The biggest announcement for both gamers and comic book fans was that Injustice: Gods Among Us is set to release in April of 2013. This means we will be getting Injustice well before Comic Con next summer (which sadly means no repeat of this summer’s Injustice party featuring Jessica Nigri). Injustice: Gods Among Us is the Netherreal Studios fighting game (the guys who made Mortal Kombat) being published by WB Games for those who haven’t been following.
Along with the announcement of Injustice’s release date, a new gameplay trailer was shown as well. In the trailer, we catch a glimpse at some new seriously brutal moves. Everything from Wonder Woman calling in some Amazonian assistance to Nightwing using a motorcycle to aid in his beat down, the move sets look like they have been given a serious upgrade since these characters appeared in Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. What we can’t tell though because this gameplay footage doesn’t offer any context is if these are standard special moves or if these will be end of match moves, since fatalities won’t exist in this gaming universe. If these are those big finale moves though, there look to be some awesome minds working on the game to take the personalities of these characters and create such inspired scenes from them.
Take a look at the trailer and new screens below for Injustice: Gods Among Us, set for release in April 2013 for the XBox 360, Wii U and PlayStation 3. In the comments, let us know who else you want to see join the cast of Injustice: Gods Among Us and what kind of brutal finisher you want them to have.

A year and a half ago, we came home from San Diego Comic Con and were given the chance to review the XBox Live Arcade rerelease of one of our top games of the previous decade with Marvel vs. Capcom 2. The game was an instant hit and was quickly brought over to the PlayStation 3 as well.
It’s not surprising that soon after, seeing the game’s tremendous success, that Capcom announced Marvel vs. Capcom 3. With a super stylized trailer, the hype hasn’t died down. Even last week at release, it was almost impossible for players to get a hold of the Special Edition of the game, a problem not usually seen in retail anymore.
As we have talked about with our previous hands-on experience, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 brings the series’ classic feel and action back with a shiny new coat of graphical paint and effects that players expect and demand.
Gameplay:
Marvel vs. Capcom 3: The Fate of Two Worlds doesn’t change the formula that brought Marvel vs. Capcom 2 so much success. The game relies on single round matches between two 3 on 3 teams. Players have three basic attacks of increasing strength, their special attack button, and two assist buttons. These assist buttons can be used to either call in teammates for a quick attack or to switch the character the player is in control of for the fight.
As players throw more attacks and successfully defend against their opponents, they increase their combo meter which builds at the bottom of the screen to unleash Hyper Combos. These hyper combos are special moves that can deal tremendous damage if successful.
This simple control scheme allows for all levels of players to enjoy the game. Expert players will learn advanced combos, juggling and snap backs to eliminate their opponents while newer players will be able to feel like they are setting off tremendous attacks even by just button mashing.
It is an interesting dynamic compared to other fighting games where experience will almost always prevail. While it may be frustrating for an “expert” to get beaten by a lucky combination from a “newbie”, it also makes the game more exciting that outcomes aren’t always so predetermined in multiplayer.

This week at the Tokyo Game Show, Capcom revealed two new characters as well as a new trailer for Marvel vs. Capcom 3: The Fate of Two Worlds. One of the characters was not a huge surprise after her unofficial announcement in Monday’s Episode 2 Trailer. The second on the other hand is somewhat of a shocker.
Announced for Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is Wolverine’s younger, less hairy and much prettier female clone, X-23. Currently in her own series after sever minis, a stint in New X-Men and most recently X-Force, Laura is no less vicious than Logan and in some cases her lack of emotion even scares Wolverine as he has seen what it had done to his own life.
In the video below, take a peek at X-23 in action as she shows herself off as a faster and more agile version of Wolverine. Though the strength might not be there, it looks like X-23 can hold her own in a fight.
Also officially revealed is Tron Bonne from the Mega Man series. Tron appeared in the previous Marvel vs. Capcom 2 where her infamous specials included the control of waves of rampaging Servbots. Take a peek at her trailer below to see the little guys in action again.
Finally, take a peek at the last trailer for a full view of all the game’s combatants in campy Capcom-y goodness including a brief clip of everyone’s favorite select screen music “Take You For A Ride”.
Stick with us for all things Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and check out all three trailers after the jump.

Earlier this week, The Flickcast reported that the Nintendo Wii may be getting a price drop.
Now, according to Kotaku, Target AND Toys R Us are advertising a new price of $199 in upcoming circular ads. While this seemed to be just rumor before, these ads make a price drop more and more of a possibility.
A price drop for the Wii couldn’t come at a better time.. Since its release in 2006, the console has never dropped in price. At $250, the Wii is only $50 cheaper than a PS3, which has far more advanced graphics and a Blu-ray player. A $50 drop in price will surely help this small console compete with its much bigger and bulkier adversaries this holiday season, as well as convince gamers who don’t already have the console that it’s worth buying for new holiday titles like New Super Mario Brothers, Spybots, and Wii Fit Plus.
Be sure to check back here at The Flickcast, since we’re likely to hear something from Nintendo at next week’s Tokyo Game Show.
