Amazon released its “Best of 2010″ lists late last week which highlight the online shopping powerhouse’s best-selling, most wished-for and most gifted products of the year. In the best-selling category, Amazon’s own Kindle topped the electronics category.
Kindle is now the best-selling product of all time on Amazon.com. Which, if you think about it, makes sense. It’s a great product and it has tight integration with the rest of Amazon. That’s what they call in the trade a “win win.” AT&T’s Samsung Captivate was Amazon’s best-selling device in the Wireless & Accessories category, reaffirming Android’s continued success in that market. Just sorry it had to be on AT&T’s network.
Call of Duty: Black Ops was Amazon’s best-selling video game, Apple’s 13-inch MacBook Pro topped the computer category and Sherlock Holmes was the company’s most streamed movie of 2010. So, kudos to Activision, Apple and Robert Downey, Jr.

Watch out iPad, the Amazon Kindle is gunning for you and is trying to take away your shiny luster. How? By being a big success that’s how.
To that point Amazon announced yesterday that its third-generation Kindle eBook reader is now the best-selling product of all time on the Amazon.com website. It replaces Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the previous Amazon.com sales record-holder.
The online giant Amazon has not revealed official sales figures for any of its Kindle devices, though recent estimates suggest Amazon is going to sell 8 million Kindles in 2010. Which, in case you don’t know, is a lot of eBook readers.
The company currently offers two versions of its popular Kindle eReader — a Wi-Fi-only version for $139 and a 3G-equipped model for $189. Click through to check out the full press release from Amazon.

Transformers: War for Cybertron has had a recent outpouring of information lately. New characters, Pre-Order Exclusives and box art reveals.
First, let’s hit on two new playable characters that will be joining the game’s roster. Ironhide is the oldest of the Autobots. While his age makes him the slowest member, he is also the meanest and war hardened of the group. He is the definition of the Soldier class for multiplayer play. Warpath takes a page out of Ironhide’s gameplan and kicks it up with pure muscle with a massive cannon as his primary weapon.
Autobots aren’t the only ones getting reinforcements. Barricade, a scout class Decepticon that transforms in to a car, may be one of the fastest characters in the game, even outrunning many of the jet based characters. Along with Barricade, Decepticon Skywarp has been added to the game. This Scout class jet, much like Starscream, has cloaking abilities to reign down heavy damage on the unknowing Autobot forces.
As we reported before, Gamespot and Amazon will offer exclusive multiplayer characters Demolisher and Shockwave. Best Buy has joined the fray and added their own exclusive preorder bonus, Jazz. Check out the videos of all three of these exclusive characters below.
Transformers: War for Cybertron is set to hit shelves June 22 for the XBox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Check out all the screen shots and trailers below.

Anyone who has been following the The Flickcast should know we were incredibly excited for the upcoming Transformers: War for Cybertron. It’s not the Michael Bay Optimus Prime has a mouth and every Decepticon looks the same Transformers. It’s the real deal G1 Transformers we grew up with and loved. Activision has been taking this one seriously as we had hoped they would and dropped not one, but two bombs on us this week regarding the upcoming release.
First off, there are two different pre-order bonuses coming for those who decide to purchase in advance from either Gamespot (shown above) or Amazon.com. Those who pre-order from either location will be given exclusive download codes to skins available in the game’s multiplayer modes. Amazon preorders will be given the Demolishor skin (below) while Gamespot preorders will get the chance to play as Shockwave.
In additional mutliplayer news, a trailer has just been released for Transformers: War for Cybertron’s online competitive multiplayer mode. Players will have the option to take on roles as either Leaders, Scouts, Scientists or Soldiers in customizable characters against players over XBox Live and the PlayStation Network. Take a look below at what the trailer has to offer and make sure to check back right here for more news on Transformers: War for Cybertron as it becomes available.

While most folks like to sleep in after consuming mass quantities of tryptophan and sweet potatoes on Thanksgiving day, some crazies (myself included) are up at the crack of dawn the next day, waiting in line at the local electronics and DVD store to fight the masses and get the best deals.
Luckily, with the invention of the Internet comes some sly dogs who have posted most of the great Black Friday deals online, mere days before the epic sales. Thanks to sites like BlackFriday.info and GottaDeal.com, we can now sit back in the luxury of our homes to check out some of the great deals we plan on taking advantage of this Friday.
Of the many, many deals going on that day, we’ve decided to break down a few of our favorite picks for the holiday sale, just for you, our loyal readers. One of the best picks, by far, is Best Buy’s Samsung Blu-Ray Player with Netflix and Pandora support for $149.99. If you’re looking to finally upgrade to Blu-ray, that would be the machine to start with.
Once you’ve got the Blu-ray player out of the way, why not grab some good Blu-ray discs? If you don’t want to leave the house, Amazon has got some great deals including Chuck: The Complete First Season for $20.99, the Batman Anthology for $51.99, and even Ocean’s Eleven and Twelve for $9.99.
Switching over to video games, Best Buy seems to have some of the better deals (even the “best”), but only if you’re able to get to the store before noon on Friday. You can pick up Brutal Legend, Left 4 Dead 2, and Dragon Age for the Next Gen systems for only $34.99.
These are just some of the great deals going on Friday, and we hope you’re able to get out to the stores (or not) and take advantage of some of these great sales. Happy Thanksgiving!

After years and years of fans writing letters and banging on the doors of executives at TriStar pictures to get the 1986 classic Night of the Creeps an official DVD release, they have finally given in, and will be giving us our cheesy zombie goodness (in the form of a “director’s cut”) this October. Not only do we get to relive the film over-and-over again, but we get to take part in voting for our favorite cover to be used on the DVD box!
Amazon has released a pre-order option for the DVD, and has given three options for the art, all of which are pretty cool, but all this is really doing is delaying the time before we can get to Robert Patrick giving his award-deserving performance of a brain dead teen. Voting ends on July 12th, so be sure to check out each cover after the jump, and vote accordingly.
Night of the Creeps is a 1986 film directed by Frank Drekker (Monster Squad), about a race of alien brain worms who kill and re-animated thier prey, which then go postal on a local college campus. Campy hilarity then insues.
