Howdy. How you doin’? That’s right, it’s an all-new episode of The Flickcast. On time this week. Who thought it was possible? Well, we did, that’s who. And yes, we’re gonna try to keep on track. We’ll see how that goes.
On this week’s show Chris and Joe discuss all sorts of new and recurring topics, as you would expect. Some of these include the new Ant-Man movie, changes to The Flash for the second season, more about Mr. Robot (the show you should be watching) and its potential ties to Fight Club, Buffy vs. Angel, Chris Pratt’s greed, the potential reboot of Xena: Warrior Princess and a whole lot more, more, more.
Picks this week include Chris’ pick of the amazing Alamo Drafthouse Cinema and Joe’s pick of the delicious 2015 Stone Farking Wheaton Wootstout beer.

No doubt about it, when the Angel TV series finished its run, we felt a little sad. Fortunately, the series came back in the form of a comic from the folks at Dark Horse.
But that’s not all. We were also treated to other comics in the same universe. Case in point today is the upcoming Angel & Faith Season 10 #1.
Here’s what you need to know:
Angel’s work is never done. During his most recent world saving, a part of London was transformed and flooded with magic. Who better to watch over this magical community than Angel? At least, that’s what he thinks. Meanwhile, Faith starts a new chapter in her life—slaying zompires alongside Buffy?!
Sign us up for this one when it comes out. In the meantime, take a look at some preview pages after the break. Look for Angel & Faith Season 10 #1 to hit stores on April 2.

We like cop movies and this new one, called Officer Down, looks pretty interesting. It’s got a great cast, including Stephen Dorff, James Woods, David Boreanaz and Walton Goggins, and from the trailer could be quite good.
Of course, you can judge for yourself. Check out the trailer after the break.

To be honest, I stopped watching Fox’s drama Bones around mid-season three. Now sure why but it happened, but it did. However, that hasn’t stopped the show from becoming a powerhouse ratings-wise for Fox.
In fact, the network loves the show so much they’ve just renewed it for an eights season. That’s right, no drawn out negotiations or nail biting here, just an early renewal for a show lots of people still seem to love.
“Over the past seven seasons, Hart Hanson, Stephen Nathan and the incredible Bones cast and crew have redefined the traditional crime procedural with an irreverent and adventurous sensibility and I’m really happy to have this distinctive, fan-favorite on our schedule for another season,” Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly said.
Well, there you have it. Look for Bones to return to Fox’s schedule next Monday with new episodes and then back in the Fall for a brand new season.

Between Marvel Studios regaining the rights to many of its properties and FOX rumored to be planning a reboot of the franchise, it seems a foregone conclusion that we will be getting a shiny new Fantastic Four film in the next couple years.
And as fans of the comic know, the key to a successful relaunch will be capturing the interpersonal dynamics of Marvel’s First Family. And that means finding a perfect central cast.
David Tennant as “Mister Fantastic”
A scientist, a genius among geniuses, Reed Richards is not your typical action hero. But let’s not forget that he was also an explorer, an adventurer, and an astronaut, and that was all BEFORE gaining super powers.
We’re talking about a man so overwhelmed with curiosity, with the desire to learn and discover and solve problems that he regularly leads his loved ones from one dangerous situation to the next. And if we’re to believe they follow him there, he better have some personality.

As with NBC earlier today, Fox jumped into the fray and announced its primetime schedule for next season also. The network has one new drama, Terra Nova, three comedies, New Girl, I Hate My New Daughter and the animated Allen Gregory, launching in the fall.
Dramas Alcatraz, the Bones spinoff Finder and animated comedy Napoleon Dynamite drop in midseason. Prehistoric drama Terra Nova wil anchor the network’s Monday lineup at 8 PM with House moving to 9 PM. House will return to 8 PM in midseason to help launch the J.J. Abrams show Alcatraz.
Fox is keeping the Tuesday comedy block with New Girl joining Glee and Raising Hope. I Hate My Teenage Daughter will launch after X-Factor. Also remaining where it is is American Idol on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Thank goodness for that, right?
Obviously, we’re happy to see Family Guy and Fringe back for next year. It just would have been nice to see Human Target get another chance. That could have fit nicely in the hole left by Terra Nova once it gets cancelled.
Yes, we’re cynical about Fox so we assume they will cancel the show just when it starts to get interesting. Fox, this is why we can’t have nice things.
Here are Fox’s fall and midseason schedules followed by descriptions of the new shows:
FOX FALL 2011 PRIMETIME SCHEDULE
MONDAY
8:00-9:00 PM – TERRA NOVA (new)
9:00-10:00 PM – HOUSE
TUESDAY
8:00-9:00 PM – GLEE
9:00-9:30 PM – NEW GIRL (wt) (new)
9:30-10:00 PM – RAISING HOPE
WEDNESDAY
8:00-9:30 PM – THE X FACTOR Performance Show (new)
9:30-10:00 PM – I HATE MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER (wt) (new)

Some of our favorite shows happen to be on the Fox Network. Sure, Fox is also the network that, shall we say “mis-handled” both Firefly and Dollhouse, but that doesn’t stop them from also having some shows we really like.
With that in mind, we bring you the announcement of Fox’s premiere dates for most of its upcoming Fall shows. Some of the ones we are most interested in include the return of House on September 20th, the return of Glee on September 21st, the return of Fringe on September 23rd and the return of Human Target on September 24th.
Also, Family Guy is back on October 3rd with a one-hour special which will, most likely, feature a couple musical numbers. Click through for the full schedule of new and returning Fox shows along with their premiere dates.

In case you’re not familiar with the story of actor Steven Baldwin. He’s had a long career, was pretty popular and did some decent movies, including The Usual Suspects. But now, according to reports, he’s broke and needs money.
So, what do celebrities do when they’re broke and need money? They turn to the Internets of course. Although, according to the site established by a Christian ministry for Baldwin he didn’t commission them to put it together, they are just doing it to help out the actor.
What does all this have to do with Joss Whedon and his ass-kicking chicks? Glad you asked. Watch the video after the jump and all will be revealed in a pretty hilarious way.
Enjoy and don’t say we never gave you anything good.
