It may be difficult for some to think of Seth Rogen as a romantic leading man. However, in this particular film, that’s okay because he’s actually the other guy. He’s the husband that hottie wife Michalle Williams is bored with and considers cheating on.

All of this happens in the upcoming film Take This Waltz. We’ve got a trailer for it to share wtih you today. Here’s more about the film from its official synopsis:

When Margot (Michelle Williams), 28, meets Daniel (Luke Kirby), their chemistry is intense and immediate. But Margot suppresses her sudden attraction; she is happily married to Lou (Seth Rogen), a cookbook writer. There are very few things Pixar could do that would get me more excited to see one of their films. Between the overall popularity of Toy Story, Up, The Incredibles and tons more, there is very little the animation studio can do that would be considered a bad move (Owen Wilson vehicles not included).

With that said, it’s hard to believe they’ve found a way to speak to their audience even more with their upcoming video game parody film, Wreck-It Ralph, but it looks like they just might. Here’s the official synopsis of the film. Consider it Donkey Kong from the gorilla’s perspective.

Wreck-It Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) longs to be as beloved as his game’s perfect Good Guy, Fix-It Felix (voice of 30 Rock’s Jack McBrayer). Problem is, nobody loves a Bad Guy. But they do love heroes… so when a modern, first-person shooter game arrives featuring tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun (voice of Jane Lynch), Ralph sees it as his ticket to heroism and happiness. He sneaks into the game with a simple plan—win a medal—but soon wrecks everything, and accidentally unleashes a deadly enemy that threatens every game in the arcade.

Ralph’s only hope? Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman), a young troublemaking “glitch” from a candy-coated cart racing game who might just be the one to teach Ralph what it means to be a Good Guy. But will he realize he is good enough to become a hero before it’s “Game Over” for the entire arcade?

As if the concept of several video and board games being parodied in a Pixar film isn’t enough to guarantee your $10, the studio has recently released some images that will give us an idea of how this video game-based world will look. Sad news for fans of The Sarah Silverman Program as Comedy Central has finally given the show the axe after three seasons. The show had been bounced back and forth in just about every possible timeslot over the past three years, but still wasn’t able to pull the ratings that the comedy cable network was hoping for.

The final deathblow was Comedy Centra’sl change of the show’s timeslot to Fridays at 10:30PM. Apparently it was hoping for an audience that either owned DVR’s or had no social lives. Co-creator Dan Harmon should be OK with the news, as he’s got a hit NBC series to cry about with Community. Rob Schrab may be a different story.

The series hit an all-time high last season with record ratings and even an Emmy nomination to lead Silverman. It seems that in a world where fans can squeeze another season out of networks with the power of Twitter (see Chuck and Dollhouse) they were no match to Comedy Central’s final word on the matter.

The network still plans to air reruns of the show until the broadcast contract is up at the end of the year, but beyond that, you will have to take solace in the first three season of The Sarah Silverman Progam on DVD.

I’m going to come out and say I’ve got a geek crush on Sarah Silverman. Sure, she may not be what some people would think of as hot, but her combination of looks, brains and humor make for a deadly mix indeed — at least in my humble opinion. I just know she would be great to hang out with and obviously, her mind is probably right there in the gutter along with mine. What more could you ask for in a woman?

So, it is with great interest that I watch her tv series on Comedy Central, aka The Sarah Silverman Program. And now, we’ve got a little preview of tonight’s episode for you right here. In the preview, Sarah feels that Steve’s request to see a jam band puts a strain on their friendship. But then he plays the favor card and things go wrong from there.

Sarah Silverman is easily considered one of the most popular female comics working today. Unfortunately with that title often comes the inability to score roles as the sexy female lead. You never see Whoopi Goldberg as the sexy girl next door or Paula Poundstone as the attractive school teacher.

Thankfully, that’s exactly what we get with Steve Buscemi’s newest dark comedy, Saint John of Las Vegas. Silverman takes on the role of the attractive, manipulative cubical neighbor to Buscemi, who is later trumped by Emmanuel Chiriqui in the film.

The film stars Buscemi as ex-gambler John, who gets lured back into the sleazy underbelly of the City of Sin by a veteran insurance fraud investigator. The film also stars a few other folks who aren’t strangers to the world of indie comedy. Peter Dinklage (The Station Agent), Tim Blake Neslon (O Brother, Where Art Thou?), and Romany Malco (Weeds).

Hey, remember the Emmys last year when five different reality show hosts tackled the duties of hosting the show?  Yeah, me either. Dismal ratings required a change of course, and this year the Emmys were…dare  I say it…entertaining! Thanks in large part to Neil Patrick Harris’s impeccable charm and wit, the 2009 Emmy Awards were enjoyable start to finish.

A dapper Neil Patrick Harris (let’s call him NPH for brevity’s sake) was the perfect host.  He started off the show with a musical number that was not awful, and kept the show going at a steady clip throughout the night. His performance garnered accolades from Ricky Gervais and John Stewart, along with millions of us watching at home.  A few highlights from the evening:

Awards were presented in categories.  A genre had all its awards given out before moving on to the next.  Comedy, Drama, Miniseries, Reality and Variety were all represented.  The show producers definitely pushed a comedic theme this year. Hilarious pre-taped clips of  nominees showed them  giving advice or answering a question.
