This video really needs no setup. However, in the interest of helping to spread the word about filmmaker Ben Shelton and his work with actor Tim Daly and his son Sam, here’s a bit of it anyway.
This video is the seventh episode of the occasional series The Daly Show, which features Daly and his son living their lives and having misadventures around Los Angeles. It should not be confused with The Daily Show with John Stewart, although both are funny but one has Time Daly and the other has John . . . well, you get the idea.
In this particular episode, we’re treated to guest appearances by Nathan Fillion and Michael Rosenbabum who, in their own way, try to help the somewhat “troubled” Tim Daly work out some issues. Let’s just say their methods leave a bit to be desired.
Take a look at this video after the break.

Coming a few weeks before the major DVD and Blu-Ray release of DC Animated and Warner Premiere’s latest release, Justice League: Doom, comes yet another awesome clip, to continue the story that left us off in the last one.
Last time, the Royal Flush Gang just got a special visit from Batman as they were attempting a routine diamond robbery. Now, we’re getting a bit more of the full team, as the rest of the Justice League shows up to take down the gang.
It’s moments like this that make you wonder why heroes as powerful as Superman or Green Lantern bother with dramatic entrances and quips when, in that time, they could have sent those villains to the moon by now. It’s one thing for Spider-Man or Batman to have quips or one-liners, but Superman? Come on…
Take a look at the clip after the jump and decide for yourself. Grab the flick on DVD and Blu-ray on February 28th.

In typical fashion for DC Entertainment and Warner Home Video, just as we get a brand new release, which in this case was Batman: Year One, we are already getting excited for the next animated project, Justice League: Doom.
The story comes from the Justice League story titled Tower of Babel in which one of Batman’s many “contingency plans” ends up putting the League, and the world, in imminent danger. If the story isn’t enough to excite you, the cast will surely put you over the edge.
Primetime television stars Nathan Fillion (Castle) and Tim Daly (Private Practice), the reigning voices of Green Lantern and Superman, respectively, join a group of eight actors reprising their famed cartoon roles, including Kevin Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series) as Batman, Michael Rosenbaum (Smallville, Breaking In) as Flash, Susan Eisenberg (Superman/Batman: Apocalypse) as Wonder Woman and Carl Lumbly (Alias) as J’onn J’onzz/Martian Manhunter.
With the team of Timm, Romano, and Montgomery behind the scenes, using the final script from the late Dwayne McDuffie, this JL story is sure to be one of the best that WB Home Video has put out. Take a look at the trailer after the jump and grab the DVD and Blu-Ray early next year.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say Castle and Firefly star Nathan Fillion likes comic books. Did you see this week’s episode of Castle which aired on Monday night?
If not, take my word for it, the guy likes comics. That probably explains why he’s joining the cast of the latest Warner Bros. animated opus Justice League: Doom to reprise his role as Green Lantern.
He’s not the only one either. Tim Daly will also be returning to once again take on the role of Superman in the new project. Good times.
Here’s the scoop on the new movie:
Justice League: Doom finds Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Cyborg and Batman on their heels when a team of super villains discover and implement the Dark Knight’s “contingency plans” for stopping any rogue Justice League member. The story is inspired by Mark Waid’s much-heralded “JLA: Tower of Babel.”
Fortunately for fans, Fillion and Daly won’t be alone in the cast. Also returning are Kevin Conroy as Batman, Michael Rosenbaum as Flash, Susan Eisenberg as Wonder Woman and Carl Lumbly as J’onn J’onzz/Martian Manhunter.
Warner Home Video will premiere the Justice League: Doom trailer during New York Comic Con on Friday, October 14. Look for the full film to be released early next year.

DC’s animated home video department has been on a role as of late. Since last year, they’ve turned out films following Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Justice League, and even a few ansillary characters such as Jonah Hex and The Spectre. The quality of the films have seemingly increased exponentially and the next film, Superman/Batman: Apocalypse looks to continue that trend.
The film follows the Superman/Batman: Supergirl story arc from books by Jeph Loeb, Michael Turner, and Peter Steigerwald and gets another all-star cast of Kevin Conroy as Batman, Tim Daly as Superman, Summer Glau as Supergirl, and Andre Braugher as Darkseid. For those not in the know, here’s the lowdown from the press release.
In Superman/Batman: Apocalypse, a spaceship splashes down in Gotham City Harbor — leading Batman and Superman to encounter a mysterious Kryptonian with powers as great as those of the Man of Steel. The Kryptonian is soon revealed to be Kara, cousin of Superman, who takes her under his wing to educate her about the ways of Earth. However, the villainous Darkseid has other plans.
Seeing an opportunity to finally defeat Superman, Darkseid abducts and gains control of Kara, utilizing the powerful Kryptonian to do his bidding. It’s up to Batman and Superman to save Kara, but they’ll have to take the fight to Darkseid within his hostile world – where unknown, deadly threats lurk around every corner, including a brainwashed Kryptonian able to match Superman blow-for-blow.
The film drops on DVD and Blu-Ray September 28th, but before that, we’ve got two brand new clips for you to check out after the jump, so get to it!

Even if it might be some time before we get a new Superman and Batman movie that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy some action featuring both of these great heroes. Fortunately, our pals at DC have decided to grace us with another animated movie featuring not only Superman but Batman as well.
The new movie, called Superman/Batman: Apocalypse features the voice talents of Andre Braugher, Ed Asner, Kevin Conroy, Tim Daly and Summer Glau. It revolves around the quest to save an earthbound Kryptonian so the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight must unite once again – this time to battle the powerful forces of Darkseid.
Sounds cool, right? For more, be sure to check out all the info from the official press release:

The animation departments of DC and Warner brothers has been on quite a hot streak since last year’s release of Justice League: New Frontier. Their releases of both Wonder Woman and Green Lantern films over the last year were both critically well reviewed and did well in the stores. Since New Frontier, this project is the first story that was taken almost directly from a published storyline, originally written by Jeph Loeb.
The great part about Jeph Loeb’s Public Enemies is he teamed up with artist Ed McGuinness, who is best known for his animated art style. This made the announcement of the direct-to-DVD feature all the more exciting. Not only was the source material well done, but casting director Andrea Romano was also able to bring back the dream team of DC voice actors to return to characters they helped make immortal.
Tim Daly, Kevin Conroy, and Clancy Brown all returned to the roles of Superman, Batman, and Lex Luthor, respectively, for the first time since the Animated Adventures of Superman and Batman nearly 9 years ago. Aside from the “dream team”, some other great names were added to the project, making this an epic animated feature.

With DC’s animated division releasing Green Lantern: First Flight later this year, the marketing for the next direct-to-DVD film is already starting up. This time, the focus will shift on the world’s finest, as Superman and Batman take on Lex Luthor in an adaptation of Jeph Loeb’s Public Enemies story arc. From a Warner Home Video Press Release:
The movie reunites the lead voices of Superman, Batman and Lex Luthor from the landmark “Superman: The Animated Series” and “Batman: The Animated Series”. Tim Daly (Private Practice), Kevin Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series, Justice League) and Clancy Brown (The Shawshank Redemption) reprise their roles as Superman, Batman and Lex Luthor, respectively.
