Next week, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit returns with an all new episode and to keep things as fresh as possible, they’re bringing on a guest star you might recognize: Kathy Griffin. I know what you’re thinking? She’s a comedienne and host’s CNN’s New Years Eve show, but is she an actor too?
Well, apparently she can act, at least judging from the clips we have from the show next week for you. In thise clips we are introduced to her character “Babs Duffy” as she brings a complaint against your favorite SVU officers, meets ADA Cabot (Stephanie March) for the first time and then confronts Detective Benson (Mariska Hargitay) — not really a confrontation you want to have.
We’ve also got a video interview with Griffin where she talks about her role on the show. Of course, she’s very funny as usual. Be sure to check out all the clips after the break. SVU returns next Wednesday at 9/8C on NBC.

As we do often here at The Flickcast, we’ve got lots of video highlight and preview for some of your favorite shows this week including Chuck, Heroes, Law and Order and Conan O’Brian on The Tonight Show. This time around the highlights of Chuck include a clip from last night’s episode with guest stars Brandon Routh and Angie Harmon.
And get ready for next week’s episode with Stone Cold Steve Austin and Kristin Kreuk in the preview clip. With Heroes, there’s a recap showcasing Slyar’s plan to regain his power with the help of Claire. Then, look ahead to next Monday’s episode as Noah tries to take down the Sullivan Brothers Carnival.
On The Tonight Show, Conan continued to explore his job options. He shared some of his offers with the audience and then they took a vote on the best one. Conan also had a gift for his supporters at the “I’m With Coco” rally. What a nice guy.

We’ve been following NBC’s freshmen drama Mercy a bit here at the site and so far, it seems to be doing pretty well and has not been canceled — at least so far. With an interesting premise and a cast that includes relative newcomer Taylor Shilling and Buffy alum Michelle Trachtenberg, the show continues to be one of the surprises of the season and will hopefully last until season two.
In contrast to Mercy, Law & Order: SVU is not a freshmen show and is still going strong after several seasons. Both shows returned to the air this week after the holiday break. In case you missed the premiere of these shows, or even if you saw them and still want to relive the magic, we’ve got lots of video for you today — courtesy of our pals at NBC.
In addition to the recaps, we’ve also got previews of upcoming episodes of both shows featuring guest appearances by The Soprano‘s Michael Imperioli, Lost‘s Naveen Andrews and Studio 60‘s Sarah Paulson.
Check out all the clips and interviews from both shows after the break.

Sometimes when actors leave a popular television show they go on to careers in the movies and become even more successful. George Clooney, who got his start on TV would be a good example of that. Of course, sometimes the opposite happens and they try movies and it doesn’t go so well. David Caruso, I’m talking to you. Of course, it may also be the case that they just miss their friends and colleagues from a particular show and want to come back.
We don’t really know the reason but Benjamin Bratt is heading back to Law and Order to help commemorate the show’s 20th season — and we’ve got video where he discusses it to share with you today. Bratt, who played Detective Rey Curtis on the NBC series from 1995-99, will reprise his role in an episode set for later this season. The episode will feature him reuniting with his former boss, Lt. Anita Van Buren (S. Epatha Merkerson).
NBC hasn’t set an airdate for the episode yet. In the meantime, check out the interview after the jump.

We’ve got seven new videos to share with you today. The first ones come from Trauma and feature an action packed look behind the scenes giving you a first hand look at the role of the first responders.
