Hey there, it’s time for a brand new episode of the occasional series The Flickcast. That’s right, we’re excited too.
On this week’s episode Chris and Joe discuss a bunch of stuff including the Star Wars: The Last Jedi teaser/trailer, the season finale of The Expanse, a new season of the X-Files, Kylo Ren’s face, the potential WGA strike and much more. Plus, the usual even more.
No beer selections again this week (the boys are on the wagon at the moment) except to remind you to buy local, if you can. Picks this week include Chris’ pick of the movie I Don’t Feel at Home In This World Anymore and Joe’s pick of the soundtrack to Guardians of the Galaxy 2.
As always, if you have comments, questions, critiques, offers of sponsorship, or whatever, feel free to hit us up in the comments, on Twitter, at Facebook, Google+ or shoot us an email.

As is the case in Hollywod, remakes, reboots and whatnot are always in style. We’re experiencing that right now with the new Spider-Man movie, a reboot of a Spider-Man movie released only ten years ago which spun two sequels.
Another, perhaps somewhat less well-known reboot was The Punisher, which was brought to life by actor Thomas Jane in a 2004 movie and featured John Travolta as the bad guy. That movie was rebooted only a few years later starring the equally awesome Ray Stevenson. Let’s just try to forget the Dolph Lundgren version, shall we?
Since his time as The Punisher, Jane has always maintained he would love to return as the character in a new movie. Trouble is, nobody seems to want to make a movie with him as The Punisher. So, undaunted, he decided to make one himself.
You have to admire the man’s dedication to a role. Check out Thomas Jane as The Punisher after the break.

• It’s a complete nerd circle of life as the Imperial March from Star Wars is performed using two floppy disk drives.
• What happens when Looney Tunes meets Anime meets heavy rock music? A complete f’ing 80’s metal dream, that’s what.
• We’ve gotten our fair share of art and set pics from The Avengers, but now we’re getting them all together for the cover of Entertainment Weekly.
• The sheer fact that Superman’s Girl, Lois Lane was an actual comic at one point is ridiculous enough, but here are some of the most ludicrous covers from the series.
• Apparently, people are still going nuts for how awesome The Big Lebowski was, here are some awesome original paintings of scenes from the film.
• Not much is known about how quickly episodes are made for Comedy Central’s South Park, but finally we’ll get an idea with the new documentary 6 Days to Air.

Not many people know the name, but Walter Hill helped shape Hollywood in the early 80’s with films like The Warriors, 48 Hrs. and Streets of Fire.
He’s recently directed more TV than film and produced quite a lot, but now he’s getting back into the game with the upcoming action thriller, Headshot, which will star both Thomas Jane and Sylvester Stallone. Arrow in the Head explains the details of the film’s plot.
According to Jane, the deal is in place and the “script is fantastic” – although Hill is currently rewriting the piece, which was originally penned by Alessandro Camon (The Messenger).
In the film, Stallone will star as a New Orleans hitman who teams with an NYPD detective (Jane), as they are brought together by two vicious murders. The two proceed to take on all who stand in their way.
Jane said the following: “He’s a hitman, I’m a cop, and we’re just opposite in every f*cking way, and we need each other to get this job done. And of course I’m like, ‘As soon as this job’s over, I’m going to take you to jail, you know, you’re a killer.'”
So between this film and his plans to work on the upcoming Expendables 2, Stallone will be quite busy shooting and dodging bullets in 2012.

Previously, we gave you some info about the new HBO show Hung, featuring Thomas Jane as a guy with problems, no money and no choice who ends up using the one big asset he has left to make a living. Yes, I’m talking about his penis. There, I said it. The show is about a guy who with a large penis who becomes a prostitute and uses his penis to make a living.
Moving past that, reviews of the show and mentions of it online have all made one “penis” joke or another because the show is, ostensibly, about a guy’s member and most people who write tv reviews these days, particularly online, tend to act like ten year old boys. Of course, the crazy kids at Jimmy Kimmel Live decided to take it one step further and made a video to show you exactly what that means. But really, can you blame them? The show is about a guy’s penis after all.
No, the video doesn’t feature any Thomas Jane nudity, sorry ladies. It is, however, quite funny and worth a look. Hung airs Sundays at 10PM on HBO. Check out the video after the jump.

Coming to you directly from the “this sounds interesting but could really end up sucking” department (yes, we have on of those here at The Flickcast) is this bit of news from Variety about a new series for HBO called Hung. The show, which stars Thomas Jane (The Punisher), concerns a man with a rather large member (read penis) who decides he wants to make some money with it. Yes, you read that correctly.
How does he want to make money with it? Well, you’ll just have to wait for the show to debut to find out. Fortunately, that won’t be too long from now as it starts on June 28th and will run at 10:00 pm — right after the second season of True Blood, which returns on June 12th.
Also according to Variety, the first episode will run for 45 minutes, with all others being 30 minutes in length. Co-Starring with Jane in the series are Jane Adams and Anne Heche. Also of note is that the pilot for Hung was directed by Alexander Payne, who directed, and won the Oscar for writing, Sideways. He was also nominated for directing Sideways and for writing Election.
Jane and Payne together again for the very first time. Could be interesting. I guess we’ll find out on June 28th.
