Check Out Previews for This Week’s ‘Destination Truth’ and ‘Ghost Hunters’

by Chris Ullrich, Apr 6 2010 // 1:00 PM

We know you love ghosts and the truth so in that spirit we’ve got a couple previews for you from this week’s episodes of Destination Truth and Ghost Hunters, courtesy of our friends at Syfy. First up is Destination Truth.

In this clip, Warehouse 13‘s Allison Scagliotti helps the team solve a mystery in a Chilean mining town. But if it were that simple, they wouldn’t need a team to solve it. Count on some surprises and when the truth is finally revealed, it won’t be what you think it is.

Next up on Ghost Hunters, paranormals in a notorious reform school where a former student is still causing trouble teach TAPS a lesson they won’t forget. That’s the thing about lessons taught by ghosts, you definately don’t forget them, mostly because you’re way too scared to.

Check out both previews after the jump. The fun begins Wednesday at 9/8C with Ghost Hunters followed by Destination Truth at 10/9c on Syfy.

by Matt Raub, Mar 19 2010 // 7:00 AM

Earlier this week at New York City’s Museum of Modern Art, Syfy held its annual Upfront event in which they previewed some of their exciting programming for the upcoming seasons. Some of the news that our favorite shows such as Caprica, Warehouse 13, Sanctuary, Stargate Universe, and Eureka would be returning was received with open arms.

Meanwhile, the channel that dubs itself as the leading network for the imagination announced nearly a dozen new series to start in the coming year. Shows that range from original scripted television to a new take on reality TV, each of the new programs should fit right into the “Imagine Greater” theme over at Syfy.

‘Warehouse 13′ Open For a Second Season

by Joe Gillis, Aug 21 2009 // 1:00 PM

Warehouse13-castAccording to Variety, Syfy has decided to give its freshmen drama/comedy Warehouse 13 a second season. The show, which films in Vancouver and will stay there for season 2, concerns a male/female team of Secret Service agents who investigate missing and newly found supernatural objects.

According to the trade, its the most-watched show in Syfy’s 17-year history, averaging 3.7 million viewers a week.

“We took a look at doing 20 episodes, but for logistic and financial reasons, it didn’t make sense to do that right now, but I wouldn’t rule it out,” Syfy president Dave Howe told Daily Variety.

Apparently, thirteen episodes have been ordered for season two but as with Battlestar Galactica, that number could go up in subsequent seasons. This is good news for fans of Warehouse 13, a show which since its debut has been getting better and better. I look forward to seeing what happens in season 2.

Warehouse 13, which features Eddie McClintock, Joanne Kelly and Saul Rubinek, airs Tuesdays at 9/8C on SyFy.

New ‘Warehouse 13′ and ‘Eureka’ Clips

by Chris Ullrich, Jul 14 2009 // 3:00 PM

tricia-helferWith Comic-Con in San Diego a little over a week away, news coming out of the big networks and movie studios is starting to slow down in anticipation. It makes sense that they want to wait and announce anything really big next week when they can be sure to get as much exposure as possible to their intended fans. Fortunately, there’s still some things coming out this week we can share with you.

Case in point are these two new preview clips from SyFy’s Warehouse 13 and Eureka, which are not even on Hulu yet. The clips each highlight some of the fun and excitement these two shows will be bringing in this week’s episodes. Not only that, the Warehouse 13 clips also features the special guest star making an appearance on the show this week: BSG’s Tricia Helfer. The Eureka clip, on the other hand, goes in a different direction and features series regular Erica Cerra signing Fabulous Baker Boys style on a piano. I’m sure its all in good fun.

Warehouse 13 airs tonight on SyFy at 9/8C and Eureka airs Friday at 9/8C. Meantime, click through to check out the clips from both shows.

‘Warehouse 13′ Premieres Tonight on SyFy

by Chris Ullrich, Jul 7 2009 // 7:30 AM

warehouse-13In case you hadn’t noticed, the Sci-Fi Channel is now officially known as SyFy. Why, you may wonder? According to them its because they wanted to feature programming of a broader nature and they couldn’t really trademark the name “Sci-Fi’ because its a genre. So, they decided on a new name and that name is SyFy. In keeping with the networks broader programming concept, they are debuting a brand new series tonight called Warehouse 13.

In case you’re not familiar with the show, it concerns two secret service agents who, after saving the life of the President, are assigned to a warehouse in South Dakota used to keep artifacts and other items of a paranormal and mystical nature. Once there, they meet the caretaker of the place who sends them on missions to collect artifacts from around the world and bring them to the warehouse for safe keeping.

Thanks to the folks at the new SyFy, we’ve got a trailer and a preview of the show to bring you after the jump. Warehouse 13 airs on Syfy tonight at 9/8C.
