Syfy Renews ‘Warehouse 13′

by Joe Gillis, Oct 6 2010 // 12:00 PM

It’s a good thing when Sci-Fi shows on a mainstream network keep getting further opportunities to be seen. Too often a show doesn’t get a chance to build an audience and is canceled. Fortunately, that’s not the case with Syfy’s Warehouse 13, which has been renewed for a third season.

After weeks of rumors, the cable network is set to announce a 13-episode pickup. Showrunner Jack Kenny will on board for another round and has signed a development deal with Syfy. During its second season, “Warehouse” averaged 3.4 million viewers and 1.5 million in the adults 18-49 demographic, making it Syfy’s most-watched series this year.

“Jack Kenny’s superlative leadership and the incredible talent of his cast and crew delivered an outstanding second season of ‘Warehouse 13,’ ” Syfy programming chief Mark Stern said. “We’re excited to see this successful series return next year and to developing our next hit with Jack.”

The Tuesday night drama follows two Secret Service agents who collect dangerous supernatural artifacts. No, its not the X-Files — but it is sorta similar. Still, a good show we’re glad to see get a third season.

Interview: ‘Eureka’ Star Neil Grayston Talks About His ‘Romance’ With ‘Warehouse 13′ Star Allison Scagliotti

by Diane Panosian, Aug 25 2010 // 8:00 AM

SyFy’s Eureka and Warehouse 13 are filled to the brim with gizmos a plenty and government geniuses.  Much like the perfect swirl at Pink Berry, when these two shows crossover they form the perfect blend of high tech adventures. So, when The Flickcast sat down with the energetic, witty, and down to earth Neil Grayston, we couldn’t help but inquire about his fictional and non-fictional cohort Allison Scagliotti.

Neil Grayston, who plays Douglas Fargo on Eureka, it seems is an international man of mystery.  I say international because he is in fact from Canada, and mystery because who knew he used to be a wrestler and still keeps his black belt firmly pressed?  I’m sure this is why Allison Scagliotti of Warehouse 13 finds her pal perpetually fascinating.

The Flickcast: Is it fun seeing Warehouse 13’s Allison Scagliotti in San Diego?

Neil Grayston: Yeah, well it’s funny, Allison and I met a year ago, here at Comic-Con.  We hit it off pretty much right away and we’ve kept in touch and we’re like really, really good friends. And then, we got paid to hang out and work together for 2 weeks, and make out and stuff.

We have a very similar way of doing things- we answer each other’s sentences so many times and we have the same punch lines.  Like when another person has just said something and we’ll both try to make a clever quip and it’ll be at the same time with the same inflection.

It was really fun, I hope I can go back, because the whole Warehouse 13 cast is great and the whole Eureka cast is great, and we all sort of blend quite well together.

Check Out Previews for Tonight’s ‘Warehouse 13′ and Tomorrow’s ‘Ghost Hunter’s Academy’ Premiere

by Heather Toshiko, Jul 13 2010 // 4:00 PM

We tend to post a lot of previews for shows here at The Flickcast. We like to do it because shows we think are cool need to get as much of an audience as they can in order to stick around for awhile. We don’t want another Firefly situation on our hands, do we?

With that in mind we have a couple clips from some Syfy shows to share with you today. The first is from a brand new episode of Warehouse 13, a show that has been getting better and better with each episode. With season two now in full swing tonight’s episode, entitled “Mild Mannered,” brings the team another adventure where things are not what they seem and danger lurks around every corner. Plus, you can count on some weird artifact that is screwing everything up.

The second clip is from the season premiere of tomorrow’s Ghost Hunters International, a show that we usually watch through our hands covering our eyes. Yes, it’s pretty scary. It does have ghosts, after all.

Check out both clips after the break. Warehouse 13 airs tonight at 9/8C and Ghost Hunters International tomorrow at 9/8C only on Syfy.

Check Out A Preview of Tonight’s ‘Merlin’ Season Finale and A Preview of ‘Warehouse 13′

by Joe Gillis, Jul 2 2010 // 3:33 PM

Clip Friday continues and this time around we’ve got a preview of tonight’s season finale of Merlin as well as another preview for next week’s season premiere of Warehouse 13.  Both of these shows are, of course, on Syfy.

First up on Merlin the friendship between Arthur and Merlin – as well as the strength of Camelot itself – is put to the test as they search for a way to stop a vicious attack by the Great Dragon in “The Last Dragonlord.” Next up on Warehouse 13 it’s a conversation with series co-star Allison Scagliotti as she explains her wardrobe style on the show. As a fan of the show, not something you want to miss.

Enjoy both clips after the jump. The season finale of Merlin airs tonight at 10/9C and Warehouse 13 premieres on Tuesday, July 6th at 9/8C on Syfy.

‘Warehouse 13′ Open For a Second Season

by Joe Gillis, Aug 21 2009 // 1:00 PM

Warehouse13-castAccording to Variety, Syfy has decided to give its freshmen drama/comedy Warehouse 13 a second season. The show, which films in Vancouver and will stay there for season 2, concerns a male/female team of Secret Service agents who investigate missing and newly found supernatural objects.

According to the trade, its the most-watched show in Syfy’s 17-year history, averaging 3.7 million viewers a week.

“We took a look at doing 20 episodes, but for logistic and financial reasons, it didn’t make sense to do that right now, but I wouldn’t rule it out,” Syfy president Dave Howe told Daily Variety.

Apparently, thirteen episodes have been ordered for season two but as with Battlestar Galactica, that number could go up in subsequent seasons. This is good news for fans of Warehouse 13, a show which since its debut has been getting better and better. I look forward to seeing what happens in season 2.

Warehouse 13, which features Eddie McClintock, Joanne Kelly and Saul Rubinek, airs Tuesdays at 9/8C on SyFy.
