Remember when you were a kid (some of you were younger or older) and you thought of some really cool designs for Transformers, but didn’t have anything to do with them? Well USA Today is giving you a chance to shine.
The newspaper has posted a contest where you come up with your very own transformer, either Autobot or Decepticon, and you’ll get an interview and your design shown in the paper, which happens have the largest circulation of newspapers in the country.
The rules are pretty simple: just design your Transformer on pencil and paper or Photoshop in both transformations, give some info on it (like if it’s an everyday toaster that becomes a tiny bread-burning killing machine), let them know if it’s an Autobot or Decepticon, and submit it to USA Today by June 18.
The most important thing for the contest is that your creation should be a image file you can upload (200-DPI to be exact), NOT your attempt at building an actual transforming robot…so don’t rip apart your mom’s Honda Civic.
While the prize isn’t something as cool as a date with Megan Fox, you will get the notariety of being in USA Today, and who knows, Michael “Boom Boom” Bay may pick it up and get inspired for Transformers 3. Contest ends June 18 and the winner will be selected on June 22.
