‘Resident Evil: Afterlife’ Starts Shooting in Canada

by Bob Starr, Oct 1 2009

Milla JovovichBe prepared for some evil residents of Canada (See what I did there, with the “evil” and “residents” . . . never mind). The fight against the Umbrella Corporation continues as filming for Resident Evil: Afterlife starts shooting in Toronto, Ontario. Yes, your’s truly will only be an hour away from the awesomeness of zombies and hotness that is Milla Jovovich (The other Resident Evil films), Ali Larter (Heroes) and Wentworth Miller (Prison Break).

Hey, I’m man enough to admit Miller has eye candy appeal with the ladies. Speaking of Miller, the announcement from Screen Gems and Constantin Film confirmed he would be playing Chris Redfield, the brother of Jovovich’s character, Alice. Paul W.S. Anderson returns as director, producer, and writer of the film and provided a vague glimpse of what is to come, “Alice’s battle with The Umbrella Corporation isn’t finished. Last time we saw Alice, she let them know she was coming after them. It’s time to settle the score.”

Did I say “vague”?  Maybe I should have said really vague.  Anyway, I’m up for watching Alice “settle the score” so long as it involves an unnecessary amount of undead carnage and perhaps more mutant dogs.  Mutant dogs are fun. As an added bonus this time around Resident Evil: Afterlife will be shot in 3-D, because there’s nothing like a decapitated zombie head in your lap.  Resident Evil: Afterlife is set for a fall release in 2010.

Oh, and if I happen to cross paths with Milla while I’m in Toronto you’ll definitely read about it here first.
