Warnr Bros. has released a new trailer for the new science fiction, mind-bending reality movie Inception, written and directed by Christopher Nolan. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and other past collaborators with Nolan, the movie has been given the tagline, “Your mind is the scene of the crime.” There was also a new poster put online recently, which can be seen at right.
The thing of interest in this new trailer is just how far Nolan seems to be going with the visuals. In the first trailer, there was a couple moments of what seemed like gravity shifting, and a glass of water tilting, and guys jumping around shooting guns, a la The Matrix. Here, there’s a moment of a city block raising up, perpendicular to the street the camera is shooting from.
There’s also more from the top, which seems to be the visual symbol for this movie, and more of the water that was visible on the previous poster. Inception is scheduled to be released July 16, 2010, in standard and IMAX formats. Check out the trailer after the break.
