Over at one of our favorite Battlestar Galactica sites, Galactica Sitrep, they’ve got some info today about an interview being conducted by Chicago Tribune writer Maureen Ryan. Why is this of interest to fans of Battlestar Galactica? Well, she happens to be doing the interview with Sci Fi Channel President Dave Howe, who probably has a few details on various BSG-related projects like Caprica and The Plan.
The interview won’t come out until a bit later, but that hasn’t stopped Maureen from Twittering a few important facts gleaned during the interview. According to Maureen’s Twitter:
Howe says debut of Caprica, BSG prequel series, is likely to be in January.
Sci Fi panels at Comic-Con: Stargate Universe, Caprica, Warehouse 13, Sanctuary, Eureka. BSG movie The Plan “likely” to be there too.
The Plan, BSG film, airs in Nov. Also, there *may* be a Battlestar theatrical film in 3-5 years. Not for sure, but possible, sez Dave Howe.
So, looks like we’re in for quite a bit of BSG-related fun at Comic-Con this year, plus all sorts of other cool Sci-Fi Channel programs to find out more about. Plus, if this BSG movie thing is actually for real, that would be pretty awesome too.
On the movie front, I think its best to wait a bit before getting too excited. I will try to follow my own advice.
Be sure to check out Ryan’s full interview, when it goes live, over at her site The Watcher.
