While we wait somewhat patiently for Ryan Reynolds eventual big-screen appearance in the Green Lantern movie, his character will make an appearance on screen much sooner in animated form in the upcoming Green Lantern: First Flight feature film. And now, courtesy of the folks over at MTV Splashpage, we can bring you the first four minutes of the movie right now.
Actor Chris Meloni lends his voice to Hal Jordan along with a cast that includes Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum Juliet Landau (as Labella), Michael Madsen (Kilowog), Tricia Helfer (Boodikka) and Victor Garber (Sinestro). Among other things, this clip gives you a look at how Jordan becomes the Green Lantern but doesn’t go too much into most of the movie’s other details — which is probably a good thing.
Fortunately, if you’re heading down to San Diego this week for Comic-Con, you’ll be able to see the entire film when its screened during the Con. Or, if you’re not going to be at Comic-Con, Green Lantern: First Flight will drop on DVD and Blu-ray on Tuesday, July 28.
Either way, be sure to check out the preview after the jump.
