All week long, we’re bringing you coverage and interviews with the cast and creators of Adult Swim’s newest and funniest show, Children’s Hospital. Started as a web series by Hot Tub Time Machine‘s Rob Corddry, the show was an irreverent comedy which directly turned a mirror on shows like Grey’s Anatomy and Scrubs, proving how over dramatic or ridiculous the shows could be.
Since the show was picked up by Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim, they’ve given the series a brand new budget and lease on life. Starting this Sunday, the show is getting a brand new season, which has all been recently shot for the network. Among the big changes, actors Malin Akerman, Henry Winkler, and Paul Scheer are joining the show.
We recently got to discuss Paul’s upcoming appearance on the show, as well as his brand new “spoof inside of a spoof” titled NTSF: SD: SVU. Paul can also be seen on FX next month as his show The League goes into it’s second season.
