If you’ve been one of the people banging your head against the wall waiting for Sony to restore the PlayStation network so you can get on with your life (trust us, we know people who are doing exactly that), you’ve got more time to wait. On its PlayStation Network blog yesterday, Sony gave an official statement on when the PlayStation Network will be back online.
Sadly, the answer wasn’t “right now.” Instead, the answer is that the network won’t be restored for “at least a few more days.” I’m sure you recall that both the PSN and Sony’s Qriocity networks suffered a major security breach recently where hackers reportedly stole 12.3 million credit card numbers and compromised personal data from 101 million accounts. Awesome, right?
“I know you all want to know exactly when the services will be restored,” Sr. Director, Corporate Communications & Social Media Patrick Seybold wrote on Sony’s PSN blog. ”At this time, I can’t give you an exact date, as it will likely be at least a few more days. We’re terribly sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work through this process.”
Sure we will. I can hear cash registers all over the world ringing right now with sales of brand new XBox 360’s.
Sony better hurry, get the network back up and running and make this right with users or soon nobody will care and will have switched to XBox 360 and XBox Live.
That is, if they haven’t already.

Sure your scores and achievements won’t count unless there’s a way to have the console keep track. Sony needs to forget about making money, payments, and plus accounts right now. You don’t need a credit card to get a game of Black Ops in. This is all temporary and will give Sony time to rebuild the network and not do a rush job. Open the network to all Sony products.

Think about it before you waste your money. i too am frustrated with this hole playstation thing. but lets be patient it will eventually be back online and life will continue. so just chill man.

Without a doubt Sony rules, as they change the whole franchise in gaming. i am a Sony fan, however i do have a collection of all the system and currently register with Xbox live. I must give credit to MS Xbox. For the reason being Sony had to come out with PS3 (Blu-ray, faster processor etc. etc…) in order to keep up with Xbox.
Microsoft hasn’t even started to evolve their system yet, imagined what will have when they do come out with something like a Xbox 720, what would you say then? Better processor, blu ray rewriter, 3d gaming come on you get the point. Sony will once again have to upgrade to what? A PS4 you’ll have to send another 500 bucks just to stay update…it’s a rat race. So be thankful for the free service and if you got money then get an Xbox and pay for your services. You pay for what you get. It’s all about the service so be patient.

Exactly what you said, you get what you pay for. with xbox you might get a more reliable online service. but is it really worth the monthly/yearly fee? doubt it. Ps is on a role with their products. this is just a set back. eventually im sure the xbox network will be hacked also. it is just a matter of time. so i wouldn’t say that changing to an xbox would solve all problems. eventually it will happen. ps is on top of their game. selling an equal product for a lesser price. of course Xbox needs to make a new system. they just need to get their name back out to the public so that they can make more profit than Playstation. i guess we just have to wait for the result.

But the new gens do not there are more in sentients of the orange light than there is the red ring. Don’t get me wrong while I had my PS3 and PSN i loved it and it was really quick and smooth.
