Check This Out: Trailer for Martial Arts Epic ‘Tai Chi Zero’

Marial arts movies are pretty much always a good time. And this upcoming one called Tai Chi Zero looks particularly interesting. Here’s the scoop:

As an uncommonly gifted child, Yang Luchan had a fleshy abnormality that holds tremendous power growing on his forehead. However, being teased as the town fool, Yang’s mother spurs him to practice martial arts, and following her wishes, Yang travels to the distant Chen Village to learn TAI CHI. At this legendary village everyone practices TAI CHI and uses TAI CHI in every aspect of their lives. Nevertheless, it is forbidden for a villager to disclose TAI CHI to an outsider, which Yang learns the hard way.

Upon arriving at the village, locals discourage Yang by challenging him with fights. From the strong men to old ladies to children, everyone defeats Yang with their TAI CHI moves. ‘007 Legends’ Reveals ‘Goldfinger as the Fifth Classic Bond Film

“No, Mr. Bond. I expect you to die.” Aside from how James likes his martini, this may be the most famous line in 007 history and now thanks to 007 Legends, we will be seeing it in all its gaming glory from Bond’s perspective. Activision has finally announced that the final movie tied in to 007 Legends story will be Goldfinger.

Not only will Goldfinger make his way to the game and give the player a chance to live through the infamous “laser slowing moving up towards Bond’s crotch” scene, but Odd Job will find his way to the game too. And from the looks of the trailer below, both will have a pretty hefty roles in the game’s mission.

For those who have not been following the progress of 007 Legends, the story of the game will crossover six 007 titles starting with Moonraker and make its way through Her Majesty’s Secret Service, License to Kill, Die Another Day and Goldfinger before concluding with the upcoming film Skyfall. Interestingly enough, the Skyfall mission will reportedly not be on the game disc itself but instead be a free piece of DLC so people without XBox Live or a PlayStation Network account watch out. The reason for this is that the game will be released on October 16th, which is weeks before the film’s November 9th release date. Keeping the mission on disc would risk massive spoilers for the feature film.

First Trailer for ‘Gambit’ with Cameron Diaz and Colin Firth Arrives

Before you get too excited, no this isn’t a story about an X-Men movie featuring the character Gambit and starring Colin Firth as Professor X. Sorry. It is, however, a story about a remake of a 1966 movie starring Michael Cain and Shirley McLaine. And yes, Michael Cain played Alfred in the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy.

See, we can bring it home and find a hook for our audience. That’s you, btw. Plus, as a bonus, this remake also stars Alan Rickman, who played Snape in the Harry Potter films. Boom!

Anyway, enough of that. There’s a trailer out for the remake, which was written by the Coen brothers (not just the trailer, the whole movie in fact), and it features, along with Alan Rickman, Colin Firth and Cameron Diaz.

The film? It’s about a terrible man (Rickman) and his long-suffering assistant (Firth) who finally snaps and hatches a scheme to sell his boss a fake painting and steal the cash when he sells the real one. He attempts this with the help of a country bumpkin (Diaz) who also has scemes of her own. Don’t they all?

Look for Gambit in theaters November 21st. Check out the trailer after the break.

Sony Announces New Smaller, Lighter Playstation 3

While the gaming world somewhat anxiously awaits the release of the successor to the PS3 (aka the cleverly named PS4), Sony has something over there in its right hand to distract you. What is this something you may wonder?

Why, it’s a brand new version of the PS3 of course. That’s right, today the company announced the CECH-4000 model. It will be 20% smaller and 25% lighter than the previous model and will also ditch the slot-loading optical drive in favor of a disc-tray that slides open sideways.

The new PS3 will come in two versions: a 250GB that will sell for $269.99 and a 500GB that will sell for $299.99. The 250GB model, which launches on September 25th, will be sold in a bundle with the game Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception and will also come with a $30 voucher for digital content for the game DUST 514.

Interested in the 500GB version? You’ll have to wait until October 30th for that one when it comes out as a bundle with Assassin’s Creed III.

So, anyone interested in a smaller, lighter, tray-loading PS3 or are you just gonna wait for the PS4, which is expected sometime next year? Supposedly.

‘Call of Duty: Black Ops II’ Gives Its Zombie Debut on 9.26.12

Since the announcement of the Hardened Edition and Care Package Edition of Call of Duty: Black Ops II, one would think there isn’t much left to tease people with before its November 13th release, right? Well, if you agreed, then you’d be wrong. Since this year’s release is a Treyarch title, that means Zombie mode will be returning. Zombie mode has earned a mass following of its own, being released on mobile devices as well as earning its own DLC expansions including an appearance from zombie mastermind George A. Romero.

This year, Activision isn’t just teasing us with a zombie trailer. No. They are teasing us with a teaser trailer FOR the zombie trailer. In the trailer below you’ll see a creepy, boarded up bus pull up to a station and open its doors before revealing the trailer’s release date of September 26th. After that, there are a few brief shots of zombies in action.

But what can we speculate from this trailer?

Apple’s iOS 6 Available Today

Hoping to avoid issues when the new iPhone 5 arrives on Friday for those who pre-ordered it last week, Apple will release the next version of its mobile operating system for other iOS devices (the iPhone 5 comes with it already installed), dubbed iOS 6, today at 1 PM Eastern. Or, for those of you on the West Coast, that’s right about now.

If you already have a device capable of using iOS 6 and are looking to update your OS, Apple makes it pretty simple. Just go to Settings > General> Software Update and it will ask you if you want to update. Of course, as you probably do, go ahead and say yes. The process will take some time, and may even stall a few times, but be patient as it will eventually work.

You can also get the update by connecting your device to a Mac or Windows PC running iTunes 10.6.3 or later. iOS 6 is compatible with the following devices: iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch 4th and 5th Generation, iPad 2 and the New iPad.

We’ve been running iOS 6 for awhile now and so far, it’s a great update. If you decide to update, let us know how it goes.
