Marvel Urges You to Experience ‘X-Factor’

by Chris Ullrich, Jun 24 2009

X-Factor_45_CoverIn addition to the fantastic X-Force, one of my other personal favorite comics of late is Peter David’s excellent X-Factor. His take on some of the more peripheral X-Men characters is always interesting and he manages to put his own spin on them and take them in new and different direction. Plus, David is just a great writer, which help immensely.

Marvel hasn’t pushed the series as much as they maybe could have but now it appears they are going to give it some love as the series hits issue #45 today.

Here’s all the scoop directly from Marvel via an official press release:

One of Marvel’s most critically acclaimed series continues in X-Factor #45, on-sale today, and if you haven’t tried this series, now’s the time! Superstar Eisner Award winning writer Peter David, along with the fan favorite artistic team of Valentine De Landro and Marco Santucci, present the perfect jumping on point for new readers.

Doctor Doom and Madrox meet in the future! Shatterstar battles X-Factor! And just what is the Cortex? Now’s your chance to find out why X-Factor is so red hot with fans and critics alike!

“X-Factor is home to mutantdom’s…hell, I’d even venture to say comicdom’s most deeply faceted and human superheroes… with David’s writing and DeLandro’s art as good as they are, this title remains tops on my list.”—Imp, AinItCoolNews.Com

“A treat to read.  The story itself never fails to disappoint on a monthly basis, and for that the series will remain one of my favorites.” – Jesse Schedeen, IGN.com

“Excellent…Continuing to fire on all cylinders.” – Charles Webb, Comicsbulletin.com

“It’s certainly unlike any other Marvel comic, and it deserves credit for that.” – Timothy Callahan, ComicBookResources.com

“Extremely well-written.  Fantastic.  I really enjoy David’s writing.  Recommended!” – Adam Chapman, Comixtreme.com

“David keeps the twists and turns flying at the reader…a blast to read.” – Rokk Krinn, Comicbookrevolution.net

Marvel urges retailers to check their orders on all X-Factor issues, as the series continues to generate significant praise from all corners.  It’s all building towards the landmark X-Factor #50–  don’t miss X-Factor #45, on-sale tomorrow!
