First ‘Iron Man 2’ Trailer Goes Live

ironman2poster-cropThat’s right people, the wait is over and we’ve got our first glimpse of the new trailer for the eagerly anticipated film Iron Man 2. After solving the puzzle with clues given out from around the Internets, fans were taken to a special site where a link to the trailer’s first appearance was revealed.

And now, following that link, we can get to see the new, improved, and rocking Tony Stark-filled Iron Man 2 trailer in all of its glory. In the trailer we’re treated to some great glimpses of the movie and most of the stars including Sam Rockwell, Mickey Rourke, Don Cheadle and, of course, Robert Downey, Jr. as Tony Stark. There’s also a lot of action and all the fun you would expect from a trailer, and a movie, like this.

Glad to see things seem to be on track for a blockbuster sequel. We can hardly wait for more. Sadly, we will have to wait for the movie until May 7, 2010 but after seeing this first trailer, I know its gonna be worth it.

Click through to check out the new trailer. Or, for a super big version, head over to Apple’s Trailer site.

I think I may be too much of a nerd. Was the “Go get ’em, Boss” line a take on Mary Jane’s “Go get ’em, Tiger”? And didn’t Stark’s NASCAR outfit look a bit like Mr. Fantastic’s suit?….This is why I don’t have many friends….

I loved this trailer, so much! Admittedly, I’ve been an Iron Man movie fanboy from the first teaser trailer for the first movie – which came out like a year before the movie was released. I think that Iron Man is going to wind up being my favorite comic-book movie franchise. Sure, The Dark Knight, X-Men and Spider-Man 2, are probably far better movies; but Iron Man just tickles that part of my geekiness that seems the most authentic while still being high-quality, and blowing me away.

I really could probably write 1000 words on just this trailer. That opening scene with Stark asking for a kiss from Pepper, then jumping out of the plane. AMAZING! War Machine and Iron Man fighting the robots at the end of the trailer! OMG!! Even Mickey Rourke, who I have to admit to being a little skeptical about initially, looks and sounds fantastic. That smile and laugh at the end, and when he’s almost skipping down the race track ramming his whips repeatedly into the asphalt….God! I want this movie now!!

Ok, I’m alright. I’m breathing again.
