Most fantasy action games follow a set formula. Players begin the game as a human or occasionally elf hero who must fight through hordes of orcs, goblins and trolls to save the day and bring piece back to the land. But what if things were different? What if it wasn’t the orcs who were the menaces but the humans of this far off world who were cruel and evil? Of Orcs and Men looks to answer that question.
In Of Orcs and Men, players are tasked with a suicide mission as a warrior in the orc army to assassinate the emperor of the land that has been oppressing them and caused war between the greenskinned races and the humans. This game looks to have a not so subtle message of not judging a book by its cover as the traditional gaming convention of orcs being villains gets turned on its head and given the opportunity to show just how bad humans as a race have the potential to be.
Of Orcs and Men is set for a September release for PC, XBox 360 and PlayStation 3. Check out the full announcement trailer after the break.
