When a big earthquake hits a major city, it would be nice to think that people would rise to the occasion and try to help each other. Not in Eli Roth’s new movie Aftershock, however.

In his version of events, when a big earthquake hits Chile, people degenerate into savages and they basically try to kill each other. And they just don’t try to kill each other, they try to do it in the most bloody and violent way possible.

To give you a taste of what we’re talking about, a new trailer for Eli Roth’s Aftershock has dropped. In it, the scenario we just described unfolds and things do not go well for pretty much everyone involved.

However, that doesn’t mean that this doesn’t look kinda fun. Sure, it’s pretty much over-the-top bloody and violent, but we all know that’s just for show and not real.

It’s just a movie after all. Try not to take it too seriously. Dimension Films and Radius-TWC are set to release Aftershock on May 10.
