star-trek-into-darkness-cumberbatch

As we get closer to the release date of J.J. Abrams Star Trek sequel Into Darkness, expect to see more and more promotional material from the movie. This time said promotional material takes the form of a brand new trailer.

In this one we get more of what we’ve seen before but also there’s a couple new bits featuring Benedict Cumberbatch’s bad guy who may or may not be Khan or Gary Mitchell. . . Or both.

Anyway, we really don’t care who he plays, he looks to be a great villain in his own right. And to be honest, we’re just exctied for the movie and can’t wait to see more.

On that note, look for Star Trek: Into Darkness to hit theaters on May 17 release in the U.S. with IMAX 3D screenings starting May 15. Check out the new trailer after the break.

Movie Trailer: ‘Despicable Me 2’ Gets a Third Trailer (SQUEEEEE)

Despicable Me 2 Cover Image

Yes, I am a grown man. An overgrown man at that. But I haven’t been as excited about an animated movie sequel since Toy Story 2, which came out when I was still a child and it was okay for me to be excited for animated sequels. But yesterday, Universal Pictures released their third, and first full trailer for Despicable Me 2 (the first being a teaser released over a year ago, featuring the Minions doing a fantastic rendition of the Beach Boy’s Barbara Ann.

The second also centered on the Minions partaking in all sorts of zaniness, from spoofing Halloween to one in a maid’s outfit shaking it’s posterior).

Han Solo Says He Thinks ‘It’s Happening’

Han_Solo_2

The other day when interviewed by a Chicago reporter from WGN9 at a ceremony for *Michigan Avenue* magazine, Harrison Ford was asked about the rumors of the “old gang” getting back together for the next Star Wars. Ford hesitantly replied, “I think it’s almost true. I think… I’m looking forward to it. It’s not in the bag yet, but I think it’s happening.” When listening to Ford, you can tell there’s more that he knows than he is allowed to say and until all the I’s are dotted and T’s are crossed, he probably isn’t going to be saying more.

Ford. Hamill. Fischer. All on screen together again. It really is a Star Wars fan’s dream come true. But that begs the question, what is going to happen in the new films featuring these main characters from the original trilogy?

Apple Releases iOS 6.1.3 Update

ios-family-2013

Another day, another software update for one (or more) of our devices. This time it’s from Apple in the form of an update to iOS, which brings the software to version 6.1.3.

According to Apple, iOS 6.1.3 fixes a bug that could allow someone to bypass the passcode and access the Phone. Bummer. It also provides improvements to iMaps in Japan. Well, that’s nice for Japan, but what about here in the U.S.?

Maybe next week, right Apple? Meantime, we’re liking Google Maps just fine in iOS, thank you.

The download is 17 MB in size and can be found by going to System Prefs> General on your iOS device. We’re updating now and will report back if anything breaks or, more to the point, improves.
