Sony Online’s DC Universe Online has had a pretty rough year. Between the server blackouts, the massive PSN hack, and dealing with a paid service to a broke community, they’ve fallen on some hard times.
But that isn’t stopping them from releasing tons of new content for their now free DC Universe Online. Just a few months ago, we were opened up to the world of Green Lantern with their Fight for the Light DLC. Now their continuing in the trend with a whole Flash universe-based DLC in Lightning Strikes.
Set to hit your console and PC next week on December 6th, the new features include a brand new Eletricity Power set, as well as an all new map, new challenges, and tons of Flash-based characters for you to interact with.
We’ve got a brand new trailer highlighting these features for you to check out after the jump, as well as the full rundown on what the DLC includes. Take a look at that after the jump, and don’t forget to grab DC Universe Online for FREE on PC and PS3 now.

Back in September, DC’s animated studio announced that after Batman/Superman: Public Enemies and Green Lantern: First Flight, the next film they would be taking on was an adaptation of DC’s alternate universes storyline, and a little bit of their “Crisis” plot. The film would be a hybrid of the two, focusing more on the alternate universe where the Justice League is an evil gang called the Crime Syndicate.
Much like DC’s other animated films, this project pulled no punches with their voice talent. With names like James Woods as Owlman, William Baldwin as Batman, Gina Torres as Super Woman, Mark Harmon as Superman, and even Erica Durance as Lois Lane, the film will be packed with plenty of talent.
The fllm is set to hit DVD and Blu-Ray on February 23rd, but before that even comes, the very first clip has hit the net, featuring the Justice League facing off against some alternate universe baddies. We were able to pick out evil Elongated Man (with a mohawk), evil Black Lighting (with bell-bottoms) and even evil Vixen (with pigtails).
Check out the clip after the jump, and let us know if we missed anybody.

A few months back, we talked to Timur Bekmambetov about producing his latest film, 9. He had also mentioned that he was working on a new film in Russia called Black Lightning. We immediately thought of the African American Justice League member who could produce lightning, but it turns out it’s actually about a magical flying car.
Though the trailer is in Russian, we were able make out the fact that a young boy gets a new car, finds out it can do lots of super heroic stuff, and eventually uses it to fight a major crime boss. Sounds interesting.
Considering that it’s produced by Timur, who also worked on the Russian Night Watch films and the highly successful Wanted movie (which already has a sequel in the works) a sequel), this film is bound to make it’s way over to the states inside of a year, so expect to see a trailer that you could actually understand soon.
Until then, check out the first trailer for the film in full-blown Russian after the jump, which still looks pretty.
