Activision didn’t waste any time on this one. After Friday’s blockbuster announcement of Call of Duty: Black Ops, they have already launched a site for the game as well as its first teaser trailer. Not risking losing sales to their competitors, Gamespot, Best Buy and Amazon are already offering preorders for the game, despite next to no information about it being available except for its November 9th release date.
Below you will get a first look at the action of Call of Duty: Black Ops. From the looks of things, the game will stick to the darker tones set by the story of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Developed by Treyarch, the same studio that did Call of Duty: World at War, Black Ops looks to tell the story of a soldier who has seen a tremendous and treacherous military career. Set in a modern era, inner cities and lush jungles look to be the environments players will fight through. From the looks of things, players will also get the chance to pilot a helicopter and repel down a cliff side as well.
It also appears that the game’s engine has been much improved on as the visuals become even more stunning with fantastic water and explosion effects. The environments seem to react more naturally as well, like the blinds in the office blown up late in the trailer bending and contorting individually or the separate boards of the rope bridge flying apart independently.
Take a look at the full teaser trailer after the jump and as always, stick with us for all your video game news as it becomes available. Remember, by clicking through to watch the video you certify you are eighteen years of age or older.
