Check This Out: Trailer for the Indie Comedy ‘Zero Charisma’

zero-charisma

Gamers come in all shapes, sizes and temperaments. And most of the time, gamers get along pretty well with others and whatever game they happen to be playing goes on without much in the way of incident. It’s just a good time had by all.

And then there’s those other times. Those are the times depicted in the indie comedy Zero Charisma. In the movie, a group of gamers are disrupted by the arrival of a new, much more charismatic player who’s charm, good looks and attitude start to cause problems.

Needless to say, things don’t go so well and shit starts to hit the fan. Fortunately, as this is a comedy, it’s all done with a sense of humor while also providing some good insight into the lives of gamers and nerds/geeks of today.

We’ve got a new trailer and some exclusive footage from the movie to share with you today. If you’ve ever played D&D, or any other game where getting along with your fellow man (or woman) was a necessity, than this movie is for you.

Check out the videos after the break. Look for Zero Charisma to arrive later this year.

Case in point this time around is the upcoming book Wolverine: Origin II. For more on this new work, check out all the info from the official Marvel press release.

Follow the first “X-Man” as he finds his way back to civilization and falls afoul of someone Sinister, who’s just discovering mutantkind and the horrors he can visit on them.

That was always been a transformation I’ve wanted to explore.”

SDCC13: Here’s A New Redband Trailer for ‘Riddick’ With Vin Diesel

riddick-diesel-1

One thing Vin Diesel knows is how to play iconic, kick ass characters who don’t need to talk much to get their points across. They’re doers, not talkers. Perhaps his most famous character like this is Riddick.

Now, Diesel is back with a new film to continue the saga called, appropriately enough, Riddick. In it, he does kick a lot of ass and take a few names. Here’s more on the story:

The infamous Riddick has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he’s encountered. The only way off is for Riddick to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty.

The first ship to arrive carries a new breed of merc, more lethal and violent, while the second is captained by a man whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal. With time running out and a storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won’t leave the planet without Riddick’s head as their trophy.

There’s a new redband trailer for the film that debuted at Comic-Con in San Diego this week. Of course, we’ve got it for you here so you won’t feel left out.

Check it out after the break. Riddick arrives in theaters on September 6.

SDCC13: Starz’s ‘Black Sails’ Offers a New Kind of Pirate Drama

black-sails-starz-1

The upcoming Starz original series Black Sails is Game of Thrones with pirates and that is a compliment in the highest form. With top tier actors, plenty of action and intrigue, and Michael Bay executive producing, Black Sails could very well be Starz’s answer to the HBO powerhouse.

Set in 1715 at the height of piracy in the Caribbean, the series centers on Captain Flint (Toby Stephens). Even as the most feared pirate captain in history, he is not immune to the impending threat posed by the return of the British Navy to the waters around New Providence Island.

To maintain his rule of the island, Flint allies with Eleanor Guthrie (Hannah New), the daughter of the wealthiest local smuggler. Antagonists come from every side not only in the form of the British Navy but also rival captains, Eleanor father, and a young member of Flint’s crew named John Silver (Luke Arnold).

kick-ass-2-trailer-redband-2

Let’s just say right off the bat we were big fans of the first Kick-Ass movie. In short, it was great and a fitting companion to the comic, even if it was a bit different.

Kick-Ass 2 promises to be more of the same and maybe even better. How can we tell? There’s a new redband trailer that debuted at Comic-Con and has just dropped and in it there’s all the profanity, violence, blood, gore and more you could possibly want.

“We put (these characters) through a meat grinder in this one,” director Jeff Wadlow said during the panel at the Con. If you watch the trailer, you’ll see exactly what he meant.

Jim Carrey, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloe Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse star. Look for Kick-Ass 2 to arrive on August 16th.

Get the redband after the break.
