As a rule I don’t really like most TV shows and movies about Hollywood. Obviously, there are exceptions such as Billy Wilder’s exceptional Sunset Blvd. and Robert Altman’s The Player.
But usually, TV shows and movies about Hollywood never seems to get it right. Plus, it would be like a Doctor watching a show about Doctors or a Cop watching a show about Cops. They’re not only not that interested because they live it but also the shows invariably get so many things wrong.
So it was with no small amount of surprise that I found myself watching HBO’s Entourage when it first premiered. More than that, I actually liked it and continued to watch it over the course of its seven seasons.
Now the show is about to premiere its eighth and final season this Sunday and to get you ready, we’ve got a ton of videos to share with you today. First up is an extended trailer showing the highlights for the upping season The rest are interviews with the various cast members discussing their feelings about the show and its impending end.
Check out all the videos after the break. Entourage returns for its final season on Sunday, July 24th at 9:30.

Not many people seem to really enjoy the HBO original series Entourage. It has been bashed by the critic community for being “fluffy,” “uninteresting,” and “just bad,” and many fans have dropped off from the shows first season back in 2004. With that in mind, it seems that one of the main problems with the show is Adrian Grenier’s apparent lack of talent.
In a recent shoot on the set of the show, Matt Damon was directing a commercial for OneByOne.org, a nonprofit that helps people deal with conflicts like war and genocide through dialogue. In the clip, Damon is directing Grenier in a simple, 5-line speech into the camera. Adrian can’t seem to do it, and Damon loses his temper just a little bit.
Do we think this video is staged? Of course we do, but that doesn’t mean it still isn’t fun to watch Jason Bourne tell of Vinnie Chase like it’s his job. Fans of the show will also get Jeremy Piven in his Ari Gold attire trying to defuse the situation, and being unsuccessful. Check out the clip after the jump, and be warned, the language gets a bit graphic.

Though this may not be a first look for many, The Adventures of Power is a brand new independent film sneaking up on us next month that proves to look quite good. From relative unknown director Ari Gold, who once won a student Oscar for his film Helicopter, the film is about a boy’s dream to become the world’s best air drummer.
With the same aesthetic as Napoleon Dynamite, the film looks like it will find it’s youth audience. The movie stars Gold in the lead as Power, alongside Michael McKean, Jane Lynch, and Entourage‘s Adrian Grenier, who is also in the band The Honey Brothers with Gold.
The movie first debuted at Sundance last year and went home as the Official Selection of the show. With that and a series of other selections from dozens of film festivals, Adventures of Power looks to be one of the cult comedy hits of the year. Check out the official trailer below, and Join the Power in select theaters across the country starting on October 9th.

As someone who used to work in “the business,” I’ve never really been a fan of shows that deal with Hollywood. Having been in the trenches for real, the imaginary machinations of fictional characters always left me cold. That is, until I watched HBO’s Entourage.
The show’s combination of style, humor and the fact that its about the characters and their friendships first and then its also about their struggle to make it in Hollywood, changed my mind about these kinds of shows and made me a fan and devoted watcher. Now, the show is about to premiere its sixth season on HBO and we’ve got the poster for that season, complete with a tag line that reads “Life Changes. Friends don’t.”
When we last left our heroes, things were starting to get interesting for Vince as he was about to start work on Marty Scorsese’s Great Gatsby re-imagining and the gang had moved home to Queens. This new season looks to be one where the guys start to get a few breaks and things begin to turn for Vince, at least according to rumor. If true, that’s a good thing because he’s really been having a hard time of it lately, what with the failure of his last two movies.
Plus, the rest of the gang should be able to pull it together and start to come into their own this season. After all, they can’t always be in Vince’s shadow, can they?
Entourage returns to HBO on Sunday, July 12th at 10:30PM ET. Check out the bigger poster after, you guessed it, the jump.
