This comes directly from the “things we would love to have when we’re filthy rich” department. Yes, we have one of those here at The Flickcast. Doesn’t everyone?
To what lust-inducing thing of beauty am I referring? Well, be sure you’re sitting down because this one is pretty impressive. I’m talking, of course, about a turbine powered Keaton-era Batmobile.
Designed and built by Casey Putsch, the car is a hand-made repliaca of the famous vehicle powered by the same Boing engine used in a Navy drone helicopter. Sadly (but good for someone else) Putsch has decided it’s time for his creation to go to someone else.
So, what do you do with your turbine powered Batmobile when you want to sell it? You put it on eBay of course.
The price? Well, as they say, if you have to ask you can’t afford it. Okay, it’s $620,000. Start looking under those sofa cushions.
Also, click through for a video of the car in action.

During a press conference in New York City yesterday, online search giant Google officially announced its Google Wallet and Google Offers mobile payment services. Google confirmed that it is working with banks, retailers, and other partners to allow users to make mobile payments with their cell phones.
“Your phone will be your wallet,” Google’s VP of Commerce, Stephanie Tilenius, said. “Just tap, pay and save.” Initial partners include Citi, MasterCard, Macy’s, Subway, Walgreens, and Sprint, and trials will begin today with a full launch expected this Summer.
The company also said that more than 300,000 merchant locations in the United States will work with Google’s NFC-based mobile payment services and Google Wallet will automatically apply discounts, loyalty rewards, or coupons at the point of sale so users don’t have to remember anything. Users can “fill” their wallet using a credit card or a prepaid Google card and then use the wallet to pay.
According to Google, by 2014 150 million smartphones with have NFC built into them to take advantage of this new service. The Google Offers product will provide offers based on a user’s location and preferences. That trial will start in Portland and New York.
Of course, all of this could be delayed by a lawsuit filed late yesterday by eBay and PayPal alleging Google stole trade secrets relating to mobile payments. Osama Bedier and Stephanie Tilenius, both of whom were involved in the development of the Google Wallet service, were also named in the suit.

Hey brother, can you spare, oh, $35,000? If so, I don’t have a bridge to sell you, but I do have a Tron Lightcycle you might be interested in. According to Gizmodo, there are five exclusive Lightcycles currently up for auction on eBay. They are being built by same team who replicated Batman’s Batpod earlier this year.
The Parker Brothers team is building 5 custom one off “Lightcycles” to the exact specs of the movie bikes. Each bike will be black with an accent color – 5 bikes with 5 different accent colors (red, blue, yellow, green, and orange). There will only be one bike made per color so if you must have a certain color, you better call now…
About the bikes themselves, the wheels are custom made 22″ x12″ dual hubless wheels with custom made tires (Hoosier is custom making 5 sets just for us specifically for this project). (Buyers will have the option of additional tires as needed) The frame is 2″ cold rolled and boxed hardened steel with carbon fiber/fiberglass bodies. Accent colors are neon glowing from behind frosted plexiglass and can be turned off or on with the flip of a switch.
Additionally, each bike will come with it’s own Tron helmet and the owner will be able to watch their bike being built on YouTube.
Going once…going twice…
Tron Legacy will be in theaters December 15.
