Latest ‘Despicable Me 2’ Trailer Arrives

If you like this sort of thing (animated movie sequels, that is) then you will probably be excited to see the latest trailer for Universal’s Despicable Me 2. Universal opens its sequel on July 3, 2013.

Steve Carell is back in the lead with Kristen Wiig and Al Pacino joining him in the voice cast. The original was a big hit, grossing $543M worldwide in 2010 and spawning an Orlando theme park ride Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, so you shouldn’t be at all surprised to see a sequel on the way.

Marvel is all over this “Marvel Now” stuff and has been coming out with quite a few new comics. One upcoming comic is Matt Fraction’s FF. Here’s some more info on it plus a few preview pages:

New ‘John Dies at the End’ trailer Arrives

Previously, we told you about Magnet Releasing picking up this movie. Now’ there’s a cool new trailer for John Dies at the End to bring you today.

John Dies at the End stars Paul Giamatti, Chase Williamson, Rob Mayes, Clancy Brown, Glynn Turman and Doug Jones.
The film centers around Giamatti’s character and his investigation into a street drug known as Soy Sauce, which promises an out-of-body experience with each hit, causing users to drift across time and dimensions. Unfortunately, when some return, they are no longer human.

Sounds cool. The trailer is pretty cool too. Check it out after the break.

Disney Buys Lucasfilm, New ‘Star Wars’ Movie Coming in 2015

It’s difficult to know if this is a good thing or a bad thing but nevertheless, it’s happening. Disney is buying Lucasfilm and the rights to the Star Wars franchise for a reported $4 Bilion. That’s “Billion.”

Burbank, CA and San Francisco, CA, October 30, 2012 – Continuing its strategy of delivering exceptional creative content to audiences around the world, The Walt Disney Company (NYSE: DIS) has agreed to acquire Lucasfilm Ltd. in a stock and cash transaction. Lucasfilm is 100% owned by Lucasfilm Chairman and Founder, George Lucas.

Under the terms of the agreement and based on the closing price of Disney stock on October 26, 2012, the transaction value is $4.05 billion, with Disney paying approximately half of the consideration in cash and issuing approximately 40 million shares at closing. The final consideration will be subject to customary post-closing balance sheet adjustments.

Latest ‘Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters’ Trailer Arrives

Yeah, we’re not so sure about this one either. Although, there’s something to be said for Gemma Arterton in leather.

Anyway, there’s a new trailer for Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters that’s dropped today. In it you get the afformentioned Arterton as well as Jeremy Renner, late of Marvel’s The Avengers.

Who knows, we could be wrong and this could be great. . . . Or not. Look for it to open on January 25th.

‘Call of Duty: Black Ops II’ Gets a Cameo Filled Live Action Trailer

If there one thing that Activision has mastered it is knowing how to hype up their Call of Duty franchise releases. Whether it has been pairing with Eminem for an E3 concert or huge advertising budgets, each year they make the franchise bigger and bigger With just two weeks to go, Activision and Treyarch kick things up one more time with the Live Action Trailer follow up to Jonah Hill pushing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 from last year.

In the “Surprise” Trailer below, there is an interesting combination of celebrity cameos combined with various gameplay mechanics to help push Call of Duty: Black Ops II. While we will let you catch the cameos on your own, we will let you know that the air strike, the tank combat mechs and even the horse all make their way into the trailer. For the first time too, the Zombie mode gets a spotlight in the trailer as well. Director Guy Ritchie brings together everyone from Hollywood A-Listers to internet sensations together for this trailer.

Everything You’ve Ever Wanted to Know About ‘Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning’

That’s right, they’re back. Jean-Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren and newcomer (to this franchise at least) Scott Adkins lead the cast as the Unisols are back in action. More sex, more violence, more fights and, well, more everything, make us actually pretty interestd in this one.

Although, even with all the obvious fun, we’re still not completely sure this movie will contain double the Van Damage. That’s a tall order. But hell, we an always hope.
