New Trailer and Release Date for ‘Transformers: Fall of Cybertron’

Clamoring for August 28th for Transformers: Fall of Cybertron to be released? High Moon Studios and Activision have heard the call, and probably saw the draught of games in August, and have pushed forward the release date of Transformers: Fall of Cybertron to August 21st. This will likely help the game as it pushes it earlier into a month that is traditionally lacking in new releases and further separates it from the deluge of games set to release in September until November.

To celebrate the new release date, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is also releasing a new trailer which can be seen after the jump. In it, Metroplex is prominently featured in stages of his transformation from a part of the city to the largest Autobot around that will hopefully give his compatriots time to escape the planet.

Check out the full trailer after the jump and stick to the Flickcast next week where we will be getting exclusive hands-on multiplayer access to Transformers: Fall of Cybertron at San Diego Comic-Con.

‘Steve Jobs: The Lost Interview’ Now Available In iTunes

It’s 1995 and your Steve Jobs. You’ve left Apple after a bitter struggle with the guy you brought in to help run the company. You’ve founded a new company, NeXT, which will one day become one of the main building blocks of the most successful tech company in the world.

But what are you thinking?

Well, if you’re interested in what Steve Jobs was thinking at that time, you’re in luck because Steve Jobs: The Lost Interview is now at iTunes for you to watch, enjoy and learn from. Here’s bit more on the interview itself:

In the interview Jobs talks about his pioneering days with Steve Wozniak, when they built a Blue Box and phoned the Pope; how they – “two guys who didn’t know much” — assembled the first Apple computer and went on to found the Apple company. “I was worth around a million dollars when I was 23, over 10 million dollars when I was 24 and over 100 million dollars when I was 25 – and it wasn’t really important!”

Droid Incredible 4G LTE Now Available at Verizon Wireless

If you’re looking for an alternative to the Samsung lineup of Android smartphones like the Galaxy S III, HTC has got you covered. That’s right, the DROID Incredible 4G LTE is now available from Verizon Wireless.

It features a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 4″ screen, NFC chip, 4G LTE radio, runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and uses HTC’s Sense 4.0. The price? $149 with a two year contract (after the mail in rebate). Not bad.

Before the iPhone came to Verizon I used the original Incredible and it was a good device. This new one looks to be a worthy successor. Although, for $50 you could get the Galaxy S III so I’ll bet this one isn’t the hit HTC needs it to be.

Still, it looks like a nice, midrange device for those of you wanting the latest features (like Verizon’s 4G network) but not wanting to pay a big price for them. . . until you have to start paying for Verizon’s data plans that is.

Happy 4th of July 2012

Today is the birthday of the United States (aka the 4th of July). Consequently, we won’t be around much today as the staff occasionally needs time off to go to a BBQ and watch some fireworks. Today seems like a perfect day to do both.

We’ll be back tomorrow. Until then, if you live in the U.S., have a safe and sane 4th of July. For the rest of you, happy Wednesday!

First ‘Jack Reacher’ Trailer with Tom Cruise Arrives

You gotta love Hollywood. Even though the main character of the Jack Reacher novels by Lee Child is 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds, Paramount saw fit to put Tom Cruise in the movie as the character. Inspired casting indeed.

This may come as a surprise to some of you but Tom Cruise is nowhere near 6-foot-5 or 250 pounds. Not even when he wears the lifts in his shoes and the camera shoots him from a low angle so he looks taller. It’s just not believable, sorry.

Oh well, since when has Hollywood tried to do anything believable, right? It is entertainment and make believe after all, not a documentary.

Anyway, the first trailer for the Jack Reacher film featuring Cruise has dropped and we’ve got it for. What do you think of Cruise?

Check out the trailer after the break. Look for the bad ass Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher to arrive in theaters on December 21.

Some Snazzy ‘Iron Man 3’ Concept Art To Ogle At

Concept art is one of the great hidden arts.Next time you find yourself in a book store, do yourself a favor and browse the film second and thumb through some of the ‘Art Of…’ books. They are often filled with gorgeous imaginings that serve as some of the earliest inspiration for how the final film will look.

So getting a chance to gaze at some concept art for one of next summer’s biggest films, Iron Man 3, is a really cool treat. It allows us to see an internal perspective on the film, before we have been tainted by the final product.

The official Facebook page for Iron Man has debut this art in the form of what looks to be an exclusive comic-con poster. That deduction stems from the large and in all caps ‘EXCLUSIVE’ next to a Comic-Con logo, Batman has nothing on our detective skills.

Iron Man 3 is filming now, but is expected to have a big presence at Comic-Con this year. Disney will want to showcase something from ‘Phase 2’ at the show in the wake of the tremendous success of The Avengers in May. So keep your eyes peeled to The Flickcast in the coming weeks for all your Marvel-Movieverse news bits from the show.

You can check out the full version of the concept art after the jump.

New ‘Walking Dead’ Season Three Photos Arrive

With production on season three of The Walking Dead well underway, there’s been a few photos released of the production to help get fans ready for all the action. Of course, one of the photos didn’t really sit well with us, but that’s okay because these new ones are looking pretty good.

Over at Entertainment Weekly they’ve got a couple of said photos that show our heroes in action at one of the favorite locations of Walking Dead fans everywhere: the prison.

Both of the photos show our favorite band of zombie apocalypse survivors in action and also gives us a look at the prison. Surprise, it looks pretty much like a prison. Also, Maggie is a bad ass. One question though: why is Rick wearing his uniform again? Inquiring minds want to know.

Check out the other pic after the break. The Walking Dead returns to AMC in October.
