New Clip and Characters Revealed for ‘Transformers: War for Cybertron’

In our coverage of Transformers: War for Cybertron,  we’ve brought you multiplayer footage, character reveals and developer videos. Today will be no exception as we bring you the first behind the scenes story trailer which reveals two key plot points in not just the game, but the Transformers universe.

The origins of two of the most iconic and pivotal partnerships in Autobot and Decepticon lore will be explored for the first time in addition to the more obvious tales players are expecting to experience, the rise to power of both Optimus Prime and Megatron.

Take a look below if you are as excited as we are to see how the beginnings of each of these campaigns look to play out. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Transformers post without the reveal of more characters being added to the game’s already impressive roster.

SIDESWIPE

Nothing is out of the question when everything is on the line. Some call him reckless and brash, but he does what it takes to win. Every time.

SNL Has Highest Rated Season Finale in 5 Years

Saturday Night Live has had fans of comedy split into groups since its first major cast change in 1980. Since then, dozens of factions have formed who believe solely that “SNL stopped being funny when [INSERT NAME HERE] left the show.” That statement has been said about just about every past cast member going as far back as Chevy Chase and as current as Amy Pohler.

Recently, the show has had a resurgence in popularity. With the weekly digital shorts of Andy Samberg and his band, The Lonely Island, to some of the more popular skits getting made into feature-length films, such as MacGruber, which is in theaters Friday.

Two weeks ago, Lorne Michaels and his team did something a bit off-beat, and took a cue from a grassroots campaign through Facebook to get Betty White to host. The show got enormous ratings, pulling in nearly 12 million viewers during the live broadcast, which is a rarity in the era of DVR’s and HULU.

It seems that they were able to keep the ball rolling, as the next episode, which was this past Saturday’s season finale, pulled in some of the highest ratings for the show in half of a decade. The finale, which featured host Alec Baldwin and musical guest Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, averaged a 5.8 rating and a 14 share, which is the highest for a season finale since 2005 when Lindsay Lohan hosted.

‘UFC Undisputed 2010’ Introduces Online Camps

One of the greatest strengths of successful online games is their ability to put a strong focus on the community of players that participate within it. It doesn’t just revolve around letting players communicate with each other. It comes from a true sense of connection that they are able to establish with one another and actually feel like they are part of something bigger.

Halo 2 had clans. World of Warcraft and Everquest have guilds. UFC Undisputed 2010 looks to bring their own community together with fully functional Online Camps. In addition to fighting under a name and banner with a group of friends, players will actually reap in game benefits from participating in Online Camps. One of the key features highlighted in the video below is sparring.

Much like real life fight camps, players will be able to go to others in their camp for help on certain techniques that their teammates may be better in. In addition to the moves that can be learned from training in the game’s single player mode, this Online Camp training will provide additional skill point benefits for the players involved.

Take a look after the jump at THQ’s first peek into the world of UFC Undisputed 2010’s online fight camps and stick right for more as we get closer to next week’s release!
