Most of the time when you think about director Luc Besson you think about action films. From La Femme Nikita to The Professional to The Fifth Element. Besson has been most closely associated with the action genre.
The same could be said for actress Michelle Yeoh. She’s kicked considerable butt in any films including Supercop and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. However, their the latest project for both Besson and Yeoh seems to be a bit of a departure.
It’s a film called The Lady and in it Yeoh plays Burmese nonviolent pro-democracy activist Aung San Suu Kyi. David Thewlis, recently of the Harry Potter franchise, co-stars as her husband, writer Michael Aris, who campaigned along with their children for her 1991 Nobel Peace Prize.
Yep, doesn’t seem like a lot of action to be had with this one. But that’s okay, it could still be a good movie. In fact, we’ve got a trailer for the film to share with you so you’ll be able to see for yourself.
Take a look at the trailer after the break. The Lady hits theaters later this year.

Things seem to be coming up Spielberg lately, as the iconic director/producer has been on a roll with new projects and productions. He recently turned heads everywhere when he teamed up with modern geek god J.J. Abrams for Super 8, then the first trailer for his Tin Tin film hits the web, and then Transformers 3 arrives.
Now his newest adaptation, War Horse, gets a hot new trailer.
Here’s the full scoop for the film from THR:
The World War I-set movie centers on a horse named Joey and his friendship with a farmer’s son named Albert (Jeremy Irvine). When the two are forcefully parted, the movie follows the horse’s journey through war as he changes and inspires the lives of everyone he meets.
Tom Hiddleston, Benedict Cumberbatch, Patrick Kennedy, Emily Watson, Toby Kebbell, David Thewlis, Eddie Marsa and Peter Mullan also star.
The movie is based on a children’s fiction novel by Michael Morpurgo, first published in 1982, and the 2007 stage adaptation of the same name.
The film is set to arrive in theaters on December 28th, just in time to hit what is now called the Avatar rush. But you can check out the very first trailer after the jump.

Harry Potter has been a generation defining cinematic event. Never before has a film franchise gripped the collective imaginations of so many for nearly an entire decade. Since 2001 there have been 8 Harry Potter movies, all of them have been well received, some are bordering on classic of an age. Today Warner Bros. released the latest and likely last trailer for the final chapter.
Apple has the new trailer and it delivers on just about every note. Showcasing large battles, epic moments and even some love sprinkled in for the ladies, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is primed to be the most exciting Potter movie yet.
The trailer plays heavy on the idea that this is not just the last movie in a series, but it is the finale of one the biggest things ever on the big screen. There are elements of past films in the trailer that really sell the notion that something bigger than a standard blockbuster is at play here. Also seeing as many of the side characters as possible getting screen time in the trailer is such a fitting way sell the best cast fantasy franchise this side of middle earth.
Check out the trailer after the jump.
